My thumb needed treatment immediately, not a month and a half later. After pushing back, Kaiser finally authorized me to see an in-network provider, and I was relieved when IRG could get me in much sooner. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. When I arrived for my appointment, the OT told me they were "short staffed" and that he would have to split his time between me and another patient sitting right next to me. I was stunned. I was paying my copay for one-on-one occupational therapy, yet I spent the appointment sharing my therapist's attention with someone else. At no point did I feel like I had his full focus or that I was receiving the level of care I was there to receive. The treatment itself was underwhelming. My hand was dipped in warm paraffin wax, which felt nice, but I later saw the visit billed as heat therapy with ultrasound. I never received any ultrasound treatment. Seeing that on the bill raised serious questions for me about the accuracy of the billing. It feels fraudulent. To make matters worse, after dividing his attention between two patients for the entire session, I walked away with exactly one exercise to do at home and a tiny rubber thumb guard. Then I saw the bill: $553 charged to Medicare for that visit. From my perspective, the value of the care I received was nowhere close to what was billed. I left feeling rushed, overlooked, and disappointed. I expected individualized occupational therapy, not shared treatment and what felt like the bare minimum of care. I cannot recommend Integrated Rehabilitation Group based on my experience.

I got a referral for another doctor who checked me out and gave me a list of PT specialists. This list included Holly Tanner/ Flow Rehab. Big institutions have call centers answering their lines and smaller ones usually have answering machines. I called around, it was challenging getting an appointment. I left messages at several smaller offices (including Flow Rehab). The only one who responded was Holly. Not only that but she accidentally called me twice- at just the right moments. Long story short- on our 2nd call I spoke with Holly for 15 mins and in that time she had a good idea of what I was suffering with and was sure she knew what was wrong! I went in the same day and met with her and Rachel and things only got better. In short, I was provided a safe and comfortable atmosphere to speaks about and answer questions related to my pain. Rachel was able to reproduce my pain which gave me a pure "aha" moment---that is the pain I've been feeling all these years!!! I couldn't be happier to be able to connect with these two wonderful women. I'm still working through my pain and strengthening the areas but I feel like a weight has been lifted- I feel lighter and more confident. Called in for a serious reaction after surgery- could be blood clots they said. Then said would set up appointment for procedure to check on possible clots (their words, "possible blood clots")....still waiting....sent email asking about appointment...still waiting on response. Guess I'll be going to the ER to get this checked on then? Why put the idea of blood clots in my mind and then drop the follow-up to get me seen for this life threatening condition? Customer representatives when you call into the clinic are rude, curt and useless. When I have been in the waiting room, have heard them taking about patients, mocking them and making fun. I emailed again (and by then it's September) the front desk says they're not available till December. That defeats the whole purpose of me scheduling an appointment when my baby is due Nov 7th. I was really dissatisfied with their customer service of not really getting back to me in a timely manner or at least give me a heads up that they won't be available till December instead of me waiting from August to today to only find out they're not available.
