For the last couple of years, I've been seeing Dr. Mona Fahoum for my annual physical and for help with perimenopause and now post-menopausal issues. She's great and really knows women's health. Another bonus is the clinic is in a building with free parking, and it's easy to get to in the Northgate neighborhood. I love Meridian Medicine! I have enjoyed the naturopaths, reiki, and most notably Dr. Lynna the chiropractor. They have the best providers, the best office manager(s), and the best vibe. Dr. Lynna especially is an incredible provider. She has seen my entire family in good health and in bad, and I can't thank her enough for all that she has done for us. I've waited months to write this review so I could calm down and you know what, I get just as fired up now as I was then just thinking about my experience. It's bad enough that women have to go through the physical and emotional changes of perimenopause and then struggle to find a doctor to help. I exhausted myself with extensive research online looking into this transition. Finally it seemed like a light at the end of the tunnel when I found Meridian Medicine online so I called and spoke to the front office and it seemed my prayers had been answered. I was honestly excited to wait nearly a month for an appointment. I ended up getting a new doctor to the practice, Beth Adler. The entire hour of the telehealth appointment was seriously like a regurgitation of everything I read online. In a nutshell because I'm mid 40's with an IUD she can't test my hormones. She also said it wouldn't make sense to remove the IUD to test my hormones because there's a very slim chance of pregnancy. So in a nutshell I get to suffer through these lovely perimenopause symptoms through the next five to ten years. She wished she had better answers for me but maybe there were some herbs out there I could take. So ladies, save you and your insurance $300 plus and just go to a knowledgeable herbalist or a different doctor. This was such a disappointment to find that in 2023 perimenopause is dismissed just as much as it was in the 1950's. Maybe I got the bad seed here. I wish all of you better luck. read more

I am a patient of Dr Chatal from Meridian Medicine. I have just finished a intensive 3 months of weekly nutritional therapy sessions. Dr C talked me thru what my line of thought about food was and how that line of thinking was keeping me at the same weight and not losing any weight. Dr Chatal has given me tools to reach my goals in a sane, and achievable weight goals and eating to heal my body. The change will lower my A1C, cholesterol numbers and the inflammation in my body. Reiki is truly an eye-opening experience. I've been having recent trouble with my eyesight, especially blurred vision in my left eye due to dry eyes and inflammation. My sister encouraged me to see Diane ASAP. I filled Diane in on my vision troubles and found tremendous improvement in my eyesight post-Reiki. Hands down the best experience I've ever had with a PCP. Seeing Dr. Mona for the first time 2 weeks ago gave me the motivation to start taking my health seriously and I've never come out of an appointment feeling so hopeful. From start to finish the appointment was SUPER thorough. Dr. Mona went through all the questions on my intake form and we discussed each bullet point in great detail. We did a full physical exam and even discussed my mental health in depth. I never once felt rushed or that I couldn't ask a follow-up question. I love that she scribes for her own appointments and you really to get her personalized attention for the duration of the appointment. To top it off, she had advised running some tests and after I explained that I have extreme anxiety when it comes to having blood drawn, she offered to schedule me to come in to see her so she could do the draw herself instead of sending me to Lap Corp. She hoped this would reduce my stress and she could ensure more blood isn't being taken than required - which often the labs do as a precaution. How awesome is that? Dr. Mona is my first experience with a ND and I appreciate that she combines holisitic medicine with western medicine if appropriate. She is personal, with a good sense of humor and makes you feel like you've known her forever. The reception team was very friendly as well! I highly recommend Diane for all of your reiki needs. She is intuitive and extremely compassionate and empathetic. Diane gave me distant reiki treatments during both of my pregnancies and births. During my first pregnancy, she was able to connect with my son in the womb. She told me very specific characteristics about my son, and that he would be born on 11-11-2011. I was induced the 10th, and still had him the 11th! During the birthing process, my sons heart rate was elevated so Diane was called. She gave us distant reiki while I was in the O.R. room for an emergency c-section. My sons heartrate relaxed and I was able to give birth vaginally. During my second pregnancy, I had a low blood platelet issue that the doctors were saying was an acute autoimmune disorder. Diane gave me distant reiki treatments weekly and my blood platlettes balanced themselves out. She also gave me distant reiki right before the birth and told me my son was eager to come out and that the birth would be fast, all very intuitive and correct statements. Meridian Medicine Interior: The office has a calm and friendly feel to it and the staff wears masks at all times. In the lobby they offer free water, tea, coffee and Emergen-C packets. Surfaces are cleaned after each patient and they even sanitize the pens at the front desk after each use. The rooms have nice art on the walls, calming music and plants. The bathroom is separate from Meridian Medicine but it is just down the hall. Its very clean and well stocked, offering hands-free sinks and paper towel dispensers. Dr. Lynna Lies: Dr. Lynna is an amazing chiropractor with a great attention to detail. I was referred to her by my primary physician, Dr. Sabrina Kimball. Dr. Lynna takes the time to listen and understand how the patient is feeling. When I fell and injured my left calf/ankle, she cut custom tape every week to add support and help it feel better. After viewing the X-rays of my calf/ankle she noticed something that other doctors and chiropractors had missed for 20 years. With this discovery and her guidance we have been able to make a good amount of progress in only a few months. I appreciate that she has multiple ways of doing treatments and will work with the patient to find the best one for their specific needs. She is very efficient at adjustments and most appointments are about 15 minutes long. She is still going to conferences to learn more about chiropractic care too. In her treatment room she has soft music playing, motivational quote cards, makeup remover, glasses cleaner, hand sanitizer and lotion. There are nice windows that let in natural light but they also have shades if privacy is needed. Dr. Sabrina Kimball: Dr. Kimball is the first naturopathic doctor I have seen and I was impressed. One of the unique things about her is that she doesn't just throw random medicine at a patient to make them feel better. She also doesn't seem to be motivated by the money and doesn't try to sell patients medicine or tests that aren't need. She takes the time to listen and do research before providing a diagnosis and plan of action. She also allows the patient to make their own decisions, instead of pushing what she thinks onto the patient. She is full of ideas and makes great recommendations. My first appointment with her took 1 hour! She is the first doctor I have ever met that has taken that much time to get to know me and my specific medical needs. During this appointment we discussed my medical history, current medical concerns and went over a few potential treatment plans. Dr. Lynna Lies is the best chiropractor I have ever seen! She is always a joy to see and her extensive knowledge of the body has helped change my life. I cannot recommend Dr. Lynna Lies enough for your chiropractic needs. She is extremely thorough in her evaluation and gets to the root cause of the issue. I deal with headaches all the time, and she helped me realize that it was actually coming from my neck and my posture...imagine that! I've been to other chiropractors and thought that being sore was a normal reaction after getting adjusted - turns out it's not. Dr. Lynna uses a variety of adjusting techniques, which is important because I don't always like the hands-on style. I'm not kidding when I say that hers are the best adjustments ever. I just heard that Dr. Sabrina Kimball is now with the University Health Clinic. What a great addition to the staff! Dr. Kimball is so very professional, yet friendly and warm. She has helped me over the years with my knee and nutrition issues. I never knew that supplements could vary so widely in quality! Dr. Kimball took my existing supplements and researched the ingredients of each. She recommended replacements for the supplements with sub-standard supplements. I have referred Dr. Kimball to many of my friends and each has been impressed. A friend and I went bowling and my friend over-used her arm, ha. Dr. Kimball treated my friends' arm with acupuncture and we were back to bowling! Honestly, Dr. Kimball is one of the more thorough and well-educated doctors available. Dr. Mona Fahum is a very caring doctor and was my first experience with a naturopath. She helped diagnose an allergy to beef and dairy (another doctor thought I had fibromyalgia based on my symptoms). She also resolved a balance issue, stemmed from an inner ear problem, just by manipulating my head. I would still see her if I could afford insurance (I get my care at the VA now), but if I need her advice/consult and have some extra monet, I would see her in a heartbeat!
