I got the sclerotherapy for spider veins and it was minimally painful. Everyone from the front desk staff to the people who bring you in to the rooms are very friendly. I live about 25 min away and I'd gladly make the drive to see this team. Glad to have used them and hope they help many future patients live healthier and happier lives.

It doesn't feel like you're going to a doctors appointment in any of the less desirable ways, but definitely feels like it in all the good ways that reinforce you're getting the best quality care. A good friend of mine found BoxBar while researching her own venous condition and is already seeing major improvements in her quality of life. I went in with my mom and the staff was great at getting us scheduled back to back since I'm the driver. Our successive appointments are scheduled the same way, and they really care about being accessible. I also have my own slew of rare autoimmune diagnoses, and a couple are comorbid with their own vascular risks / stroke risks so I wanted to get a thorough assessment with some hard data. We're getting all the data. Dr. Derrick was familiar with a lot of nuanced factors and details tied to my diagnoses I've never seen any other doctor outside of rheumatology have any in depth knowledge over. It was a pleasant surprise and incredibly validating.

Dr. Johansen (recently retired) is kind, empathetic, patient, and adamant that I had the best care. My surgery was postponed due to COVID-19, and he advocated for me in a way I have never seen from a doctor. Post-op, he called me 1-2x a week to make sure I was doing okay. I also had the opportunity to build a relationship with the administrative staff (specifically, Cynthia and Chris). I had to call them frequently to ask for paperwork support. They were always patient and hilarious. Because of my health, I've been to a lot of different healthcare offices - very rarely will you find people SO invested in you as a patient. They're quick to respond to emails, and will go the extra mile to make sure that you are taken care of.

She is not only Mom's favorite doctor, but one of her favorite people! Her skills are unmatched. Thanks to DR Pham and her team for helping to keep Mom with us for a little longer!

The person who posted that review went on a 2 mile bike ride right after surgery so that's definitely not the doctors fault. I had an incredible experience with the doctor, nursing staff, and the entire office. I am someone who is scared of doctors and they made my care as calm as possible. I had an incredible surgery and my after care was better than I could have imagined. I had no complications and my surgical scars are almost completely gone. If you need someone to help with your vascular issue, please come here. if I ever have any issues in the future, I will be coming back here again.

They took no accountability to say "we include excessive bleeding" as being normal which I call BI will never go back and do not recommend them to anyone. If I could I would give them ZERO stars. The bleeding in the lic they say is "normal". Hmm, no.

Over those many years I…read morehave had the privilege of working with several outstanding primary care physicians, and the care I've received has consistently been excellent. When my longtime PCP left Kaiser several months ago, I wondered whether I would be able to find another doctor with the same level of dedication and mutual respect that I value in a physician-patient relationship. Today I met Dr. Martin Levine and came away very impressed. He is an exceptional listener and was fully present during our visit. His questions about my medical history and current health were thoughtful and specific rather than routine or generic. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness of his clinical judgment--his questions clearly reflected a careful effort to understand the full picture of my health. His manner was relaxed, professional, and genuinely caring, and I left the appointment feeling confident that my health is in very capable hands. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Levine and am very pleased to call him my primary care physician.

Since I fractured the right kneecap two years ago in a previous fall, I wanted to get X-rays at Northgate. The appointing person told me that KP had recently banned walk-in X-rays and now required one have an in-person appointment with a doc to see if the patient is worthy of getting X-rays. The new rule is that walk-ins are banned from getting X-rays. A patient has to make an appointment to see a doctor BEFORE X-rays. This makes no sense at all. In the past, my doctor would order X-rays and meet with me later to discuss the results. This is totally backwards. KP also recently banned patients from being able to reply to a doctor's message on My Chart. KP keeps coming up with new ways to keep patients away from practioners, in order to increase revenue flowing to its obscenely-overpaid KP CEO, Gregory Adams. I like my doctors a lot but I don't like spending hours per week fighting with the mindless KP bureaucracy to get care. It's exhausting, particularly whe one is 75 and dealing with multiple health issues.
