The staff is so helpful and patient - From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a true sense that the staff want to know how they can help. My most recent trip I had the privilege to work with Anne who brought me a variety of shoes and listened to my feedback. As they always do, she also had me walk in the shoes so she could assess my gait and how my leg looked walking in the shoes. The staff often consult one another and have another set of eyes and can tell just by squatting down to watch you walk that certain shoes are better than others. While the prices may seem high, the truth is that high quality shoes are just expensive and PR Running is competitively priced with the manufacturer websites. They also almost always have a sale rack where you can sometimes find your size! I have been buying shoes here for over ten years! I love to support this small business and hope they continue to thrive in a world of online shopping and big box stores.

Even though they were all helping other customers, each person made the effort to greet me and let me know they'd be with me shortly, which I really appreciated. I had the chance to work with Rich, and he was fantastic! He pulled up a chair so we could talk about my running goals and then did a gait assessment to better understand my stride and foot type. Based on that, he selected a shoe for me to try, then had me go outside for a quick jog so he could make sure it was the right fit. I really liked how he kept my running goals in mind while also making sure the shoes worked for my feet specifically. I left the store with a perfect pair of running shoes and couldn't be more excited to continue my running journey with the right support under my feet. Highly recommend PR Running to anyone looking for knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service, and a personalized experience!

I left…read moreabsolutely blown away with the exceptional customer service I received - something that has become a true rarity in 2026! Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a debilitating nervous system condition that has completely changed how I engage in fitness. But being the stubborn "gym rat" that I am, I have refused to give up lifting and sprinting. My condition has caused major changes in my gait, proprioception, and running mechanics, which have been causing me a lot of silly injuries. A close friend recommended Sneakerama, theorizing that maybe "the right" shoes could help. I was skeptical, but decided to pop in to see what all of the hype among my avid runner friends was all about! When I walked in, I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and immediately jumped into a conversation about what my goals were. When I explained my wild healthy history, Alex listened empathetically and almost immediately knew what I needed - a minimalist shoe with a wide toe box to help correct my over-pronation and balance issues. He came back with four different styles, each with unique features which he explained thoroughly and allowed me to take for a "test stroll"! I ended up choosing a very cool pair of Altras - a brand I had never even heard of before! The next morning, I tried out my new shoes at the gym and I was THRILLED! I felt much more stable and was able to better engage targeted muscles while lifting. These Altras are a GAME CHANGER! Not only do they have me feeling better supported, they've also given me my confidence back! :) Sneakerama is a hidden gem! I grew up in Worcester and had never. been inside... I wish I had discovered this place earlier! They are so much more than an athletic shoe retailer - as a family-owned business, they take pride in what they do and foster a special sense of community to all of their customers!

I had to buy a pair of work boots for the first time in about 15 years due to a new job. Lee, a…read moresalesman at High Country, deserves some recognition. Upon my first visit, I mentioned some issues I had with my feet, primarily my left foot, and how I was required to wear a shoe lift which might make fitting me with a pair of boots more difficult. Lee remained patient as I tried on several pairs of boots, all the time offering me suggestions. After about an hour, I decided on a pair of Timberlands. I bought a couple different pairs of duck pants along with the boots. A few days later, I unfortunately had to return the Timberlands because they became too uncomfortable due to the tongues cutting into my ankles. I also had to return a pair of pants because they were also uncomfortable. My returns were taken back with zero trouble. Lee recognized me and immediately went to work yet again finding me a comfortable boot. I must have tried on another fifteen pairs, and again, Lee remained patient and helpful, even while there were several other customers requiring his help. I had just about decided on a pair of Terra boots, however I still was not completely satisfied with how they felt on my left foot while walking. Lee took the boot out back and stretched it for me in an attempt to free up some space, no charge, and even brought the boot out to show me exactly what he was doing. With the Terras in hand, I went back up to pay. The gentleman behind the counter asked why I was unhappy with the Carhartt pants I returned. I explained how they felt like I was wearing a parachute, however I very much liked the Key duck pants that I had also bought, but they only had my size in one color. He offered to order me whichever Key pants I wanted, so I had him order two more pairs in different colors for me. When all was said and done, my balance was about a dollar, which he refused to take from me. Lee also appeared once again, and gave me a container of leather conditioner for free. All in all, I am very impressed with the customer service I received at HCWW. Lee is a true dying breed- I would never in a thousand years receive the same service from a big box store. I appreciate all his time and effort in ensuring I left with a comfortable boot. I will be back!
