small cute park .. picnic tables with flowering trees ..dogwoods. Very peaceful and lovely but don't miss the water fall!! Great Tinker Fall .. well this was our first visit and it was a nice surprise. We'd heard of other falls in the Cleveland area but hadn't heard of this one .. found a loop water fall map with this as one of the 7. It was a nice surprise .. we were very impressed. I'd have to say the best of the day. Don't miss viewing falls from all the area including go down close to it. We even played with our drone for interesting angles.

Saturday June 22, 2019 with my hubby, Tony Vanoy. This park is Free to Enjoy, located off Union Rd, on to Willis Rd in Bedford, Ohio just South of Cleveland, OH. The weather was gorgeous about 81 degrees. Going back in the fall to see the Viaduct Bridge better, the beautiful full greenery hides it so well. We walked down the paved trail winding and descending into the gorge below. On this lovely trail full of greenery and wildflowers, there is plenty of signage. Remnants of the past, open way to a gorgeous waterfall that was running at full force. Well worth the stroll.

This is a delightful little park! It's a nice hike down (and up again - but it's not too strenuous) a hill to view the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek. We lucked out and visited after a large storm moved through, so the falls were large and flowing quickly. There is a variety of interesting signage available along the trail that provide history and context around the use of the falls as a way to power grist mill, a saw mill, and an electric power plant over time. There is a nice overlook area, as well as an access point down to bank area where you can get a little closer to the creek and get a better view of the arch that is located down there. There is a nice sized parking lot near a busy railway, which has its own signage that can be viewed if you head up the stairs off the parking lot. This area also gives you a good view of the trains, if you are so inclined, as well as down to the river on the other side. Port-a-potties are available near the parking lot.

Found an unexpected sight when visiting Bedford Reservation. The park is the site of an old mill. Signs along a paved path takes you down to ruins of the mill and Tinkers Creek. We went during a rainy time so the Creek was full of rushing water. Exciting! An old railroad truss is accessible for a great view of the river. You may see a train go by on the newer rails. Good for small children and wheel chairs--slight grade.

Viaduct Park is a very well taken care of nature spot in Bedford, Ohio. The scenery is beautiful along with the waterfalls located down the trail. Everything is easily accessible, and the scenery is gorgeous. If you are looking for peace and quiet outside of the city, Viaduct Park is a place to go.

A great place to hike! It's not a strenuous trail, I went being 8 months pregnant. There's beautiful fall foliage and some great waterfalls. Lots of Picture opportunities! Highly recommend checking it out.

Although it might appear like an overgrown plot, allowing nature to take back this area provides visitors with an abundance of wildlife. You'll see a variety of birds, trees and very steep hills. Although the paths are paved I wouldn't consider all of them handicap accessible. However, directly next to the picnic tables is a pond with plenty of turtles and fish. There aren't any grills but there is a restaurant called Park Place at the entrance. However, these paths are not shaded nor easy to navigate. One of the first hills was so steep it takes even an advanced hiker a minute or two to catch ones breath. But it's worth the climb, you really can't beat the view!

Parts of the trail are just mowed grass and there was a lot of debris on the paths. Wish there was some information there about the golf course. We did see several signs numbered for golf holes...but, it would have been interesting to follow the layout of the old course. My husband and I are in our 70's and found some of the inclines pretty challenging! (Also wondered what the metal structure was that goes down one of the slopes...looks like an old "incline" track for trolley car?) We logged about 3 miles on a gorgeous summer day and enjoyed it very much!

This park is an ideal destination for easy hiking, wildflower and butterfly sightseeing, workshops, and nature education for kids. I visited this park for Birch Bark Basket Workshop , and LOVED it. I also wandered in the park, visited the nature center, and checked out the prairie. All highly recommended experiences. Park: GPS'ing "9000 Chippewa Rd, Brecksville" will direct you right to the large parking lot by the Harriet Keeler Memorial Picnic Area. The picnic area has a lodge covered gazebo and a very lively playground. Take the path to your right to discover Brecksville Nature Center and Trailside Program Center. Both buildings are newly updated and clearly labeled. The Nature Center offers a sensory inclusive location for all ages. Inside the nature center you'll find creatures (frogs, bugs, and snakes), a cozy bird watching window, a kids play area, and scavenger hunts for the kids. There is a scenic Tallgrass Prairie with tall grass, plants, and beautiful wildflowers. I did not wander deep into the park, but noticed that hiking paths are flat, and easy to navigate. Park maps are available online and right by the parking lot. You can also find a folded map in the Nature Center. While the park is vast, I didn't have any issues with navigation. That's coming from someone who can get lost anywhere. Service: I interacted with a few park employees and volunteers over the phone and during my visit. Everyone was very friendly, patient with me during registration, and workshop. It's definitely the friendliest Metropark! Workshops/Events: Brecksville Reservation (and other Metroparks) host really fun nature-related programs for all ages. I'm surprised that more people haven't yet discovered these programs. Some programs are free, others have low cost. Look for programs online or grab flyers at the Nature Center. The next most anticipated event at the Brecksville Reservation is FallFest: 18th Century Festival. It's a free event with folk music, American Revolution flair, cider, and more! My recent visit was to partake in the Birch Bark Basket Workshop at the Trailside Program Center. The center is very minimalistic and is used for programming. It's spacious and comfortable to craft in. All attendees had so much fun! We made our own baskets from birch bark, learned about the many uses and types of birch, and interacted with each other. I loved my experience and plan to make more birch tree crafts at home! I highly recommend visiting the Brecksville Reservation. You'll love the vastness if you're a hiker. You'll enjoy the easy hiking trails and the predominance of wildflowers if you're a wanderer. Your kids will enjoy the playground, the Nature Center, and being in nature. The park feels suitable for all to enjoy. I can't wait until my next visit in the fall to watch gorgeous foliage.

There is also a large overlook where you can sit & enjoy the view. However, the view was a bit frustrating as the entire pond had large amounts of trash surrounding the edges. You can fish here but it is strictly catch & release. Although, other than a large amount of dead snails & fish I'm not sure what you'll find. I realize the pond was low but this should make it all the more easier to maintain. There are at least two trails winding through the woods but it's difficult to tell which path you're on on where to go. The only signage marking the paths are random planks of badly weathered wood with dull red or blue paint. Some are broken and lying at the base of trees, others were attached to trunks but blended in with the bark. Perhaps new signs with bright colors would be more suitable for visitors. The trails are wide dirt paths with very few obstructions, however you might get stuck in the mud if it's damp out...I would not recommend these trails if you're in a wheelchair. Towards the back of the property is an ugly cookie cutter development- such an eye sore! And the trails are littered with broken benches but are very quiet & relaxing. There's even a neat old fireplace and a few pavilions with grills. It also offers a large playground and huge field. I think if the park was cleaned up a bit & things were fixed it would be one I would return to regularly.
