    Flintstone car

Harriet keeler picnic area This is a great area for kids in the park. They have an awesome play area focused on nature. There is a flintstone car, stepping logs, hollow tree tunnel, climbing tree, slide. All are designed to be made from or a part of nature. Plus it is shaded. There is parking very close and lots of picnic areas If you go across the street they have a nature center and nice flush bathrooms. The nature center is very old but has some great learning areas. My kids loved the under the log view. They have great information on birds as well. Plus there are lots of walking trails connecting both areas.

    Brecksville Reservation -- Sunday, 13 September 2020.

I visited for the first time on Sunday, 13 September 2020 with my friend Kristen G. I went during the afternoon when the weather was still warm. Due to the Coronavirus, most people that I walked by were wearing masks. When I arrived, my friend and I walked first then we did some light (impromptu) jogging then we hiked around for about 25 mins. It is so nice to get outside during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outdoor activity helps to clear my head, get me away from my small apartment, and awakens my body. This is a beautiful reservation in Brecksville, Ohio, located south of downtown Cleveland. There are a ton of forested areas and hiking trails to visit. This reservation is great for hiking with friends or running with a group. There are benches (picnic tables) situated around the whole 3000 acre reservation. **** - 19/100 total reviews in 2021 - 438 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 29 January 2021

Brecksville Reservation is a massive park featuring lots of trails and a creek. It is a great place for exercise. The park is located next to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Because of this it gets overshadowed a bit. This is definitely a good alternative and it blends into it. A road goes through it and connects the main entrances. If you go in the southern entrance you'll come across a parking area, which is where you should stop. There's a really cool place at this stop. A trail will take you to Deer Lick Cave. It doesn't take long to get to from here. Only a quick walk until you get to an overlook where it's a good place for pictures. Further inside the park are many picnic areas. These are connected by the main road. Around the northern entrance is an open area. There's a large parking lot. Chippewa Creek goes right by it. There's a bridge going over the creek, and it connects to a trail. It's only one and there's so many others. They even have some horse riding trails. It has many trails to explore. Other activities include a golf course if you would rather swing than hike. The terrain of the park has variety.

Beautiful place. Beautiful clear water, rocks, etc. There's porta potties in some areas. Very clean of trash through the trails and friendly people along with cute dogs. The maps at all the metro parks are a bit confusing because I've never seen a "you are here" sticker but that's most of the ones I've visited.

This is a great place for a hike and can be used for both short and long hikes. The views are amazing, and there are plenty of connecting trails. There are also a few pavilions, grills, map posts, parking lots and a nature center scattered throughout the park. Beautiful on the Fall.

Map of Chippewa Creek...the best rock & boulder climbing around.

If you want to hike, hike here. Chippewa creek has some of the biggest boulders around! First, you hike down the hill from the Brecksville Reservation, which is fun and beautiful. Then, you go rock climing down the river. Hot? Jump in the water and cool off. This place is amazing. Been coming here since I was a kid and I now take my kids here. What did they say after a couple hours of climbing around on the boulders? "Best hike ever, Dad!" Nuff said.

As a photographer, this is one of my favorite spots in greater Cleveland! The area around Station Road Bridge in particular is beautiful. It features its namesake bridge as well as a small station stop for the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad. Hike on Towpath Trail or explore the station and bridge. Images by Jennifer Elizabeth Photography.

Brecksville Reservation borders the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This is a beautiful park and one of the only good things about Brecksville besides Heinens. Come here for some great hiking and outdoor activities.

Awesome place to rock climb, been coming here doing this since a youngin. Good workout, theres skill to it also. Dont be fooled, some dry looking rocks are super slippery. Ive taken my share of spills, manages to stay dry today. A few Summers back we went and ran into some younger kids, COVERED IN RING WORM, telling us how nice the water is and we should try it out. WoW! The Scenery is beautiful. Good place for a couples walk, jog, hike, rock climb, other activities accumulate in my mind. Most of them best left not on here. Its a 19mi. ride from Downtown, but I believe it to be worth it every now and then. Gas isn't at an all time low. Either way, check this place out. You're not taking advantage of what NE OH has to offer us until you do.

This is simple to review. GORGEOUS & MASSIVE. Its literally so big and they have a bunch of different accommodations. Horse trails, workout stations, hills, flat land, trails through the woods, trails that stay by the main road, overlooks, bridges, rivers. Its awesome. Come check it out sometime. I went yesterday and enjoyed the fall fest they were putting on. That was fun and family oriented. Kids got to take part in old school activities such as fire starting, quilting, candle making, etc. It was a beautiful day and well planned - food too!

Hinckley offers as diverse a range of activities and some of the best view as any other park in the area. Most people know Hinckley from the annual Buzzard festival, the nice lake and the awesome ledges, but that is just scratching the surface. With the newly renovated dam and the lake refilled Hinckley Reservation is once again at its peak. I have often hiked at Hinckley, my most recent hike started at the Top of the Ledges picnic area, went down through the Ledges, along the North side of the Hinckley Lake Loop, on the Bridal Trails and then the Buckeye Trail back through the Ledges. If you are looking for some interesting hiking the Bridal Trails provide some nice variety from open fields, stream crossings, hills and narrow winding trails. Whipp's Ledges are some of the most impressive you will see; they provide multiple routes and views, plus there is actual rock climbing allowed. Less well known are Worden's Ledges on the other side of the park which while smaller still are lots of fun and they have some interesting carvings that are well worth visiting. The Lake provides the opportunity for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. There is a nice boathouse where you can rent a boat at reasonable rate, and while not terribly challenging, the lake is picturesque and getting out on the water is always a great time. Although I have never taken advantage at the bottom of the dam there is a nice beach and swimming area. Hinckley Reservation is a wonderful asset and a great way to get outside and enjoy yourself. This is a large park with plenty to do and see. Never been disappointed with a visit here.

The dam is a lot better after the reconstruction. Nice 3 mile walk around the lake. Concession…read morestand open during the summer.
