After being mostly ignored by the folks across the street at the Victor Hugo (to be fair we were drenched from biking in the rain) we wandered across the street and were welcomed with open arms by Via Verde.
They explained how their salad bar worked (make your own salad by choosing from their wide variety of incredibly fresh ingredients) and recommended their pasta which is made in-house.
Between the five of us, we tried their soup, salad, pasta (the ravioli was amazing), and coffee and loved it all.
The total price for five fantastic lunches? Less than €80. Not bad at all for central Nice.
Thank you Via Verde for welcoming us smelly cyclists and thank you Victor Hugo for sending us away! read more
