Better for lunch than for dinner, Via Sete offers a standard range of salads and other midday fare that is filling, well-priced, and convenient if not entirely out-side-the-box. The couscous salad is excellent and makes for a great snack later in the day if you're a tourist. Sit outside for a few of both tourists and locals window shopping at the local boutiques. I was strolling down Ipanema side streets.and found this.cute place, and how I am surprised how good the food is.I ordered grilled Salmon and it was grilled perfectly (medium) and the sides were excellent as well. The service is quick and courteous, and the waiters speak English if you don't speak Portuguese this might come handy. This is a great restaurant a few blocks from Ipanema beach. They serve a variety of food, including burgers, salads and seafood. The service is good, and they atmosphere is fun, relaxing and trendy. The best part is the outdoor seating, perfect for grabbing one of their delicious drinks. The star of the show here was definitely the Kobe beef burger. I'm not a burger person, but I devoured this burger and licked my fingers when I was done. Great food, great drinks, great location. It's a win all around. Went back a 2nd time in a 1-week trip, so it must have been good. read more

Excellent spot in the heart of Ipanema. Good appetizers, great grilled burgers. Very friendly service, and some servers spoke English. Nice covered outdoor front patio is good for people watching. Out of our 11 days in Rio we came here 3 times. The food was great as was the service. Not much English speakers but they tried their best and Leonel was one of the best waiters we had in the city. We had the burger, salmon, swordfish, and organic grilled chicken. The brownie with gelato is to die for. I would reccomend to anybody. read more

Went to this restaurant for dinner due to the good reviews here but unfortunately did not have a good experience. The 3 starts goes to the sitting areas, the environment and English menu. I ordered a simple penne pasta in which was a bit harsh and cold. My husband ordered a grilled chicken breast with fries and caprese. Chicken and fries also cold. We informed our waiter and they took care of it bringing us another plate this time warmer. When we asked for the check another misunderstanding: They "suggested" a 11% service fee (tip) although when I got my change back I noticed they have charged (without asking) 16% tip. So I suggested to them that in the future they bring the right change to their customer and let each customer decide on how much they want to tip based on the quality of service they have received. I def wouldn't mind giving even more in tip if only the service was good for me that night. read more

Went here since it was well recommended by our Carioca host. I love how attentive they are to their guests, the location (great for people watching), ambience and my grilled chicken with mango chutney! Most of them speak English, and if you attempt to speak Portuguese (like I did) they will help you and teach you the right way to say things. Apparently, they also have the best caipirinhas in town according to our host. When you don't know where to eat for dinner, this place is a no-brainer. read more

Excellent service and hands down one of the best burgers you will have in Rio! During the week there was not a wait but when I went on Saturday our group had to wait around 15 mins. Prices are very reasonable. Mainly giving 5 stars because of the excellent service. read more
