    Eggplant lasagna

While vacationing in Ipanema, we wanted to eat someone on the fancier side and came to Via Sete. Like most Brazilian places there's outdoor seating but unlike most Brazilian places, there was a lot of indoor seating as well. In drinks, they offer options with Caju fruit (where the top stem looking part is roasted to make cashews, the fruit is very juicy but hard to export so I have never seen it in the US). The bartender also accommodated to make a virgin, off menu lychee drink for me. All the risotto dishes were divine, you can't go wrong with the octopus risotto or seafood risotto. I got the eggplant lasagna which in theory sounded fun but my eggplant was undercooked and there wasn't enough sauce to supplement the dryness.

I visited Via Sete in August. I was looking for a Brazilian restaurant for lunch and Via Sete was located across the street from the stores I'd been shopping in. A random choice turned out to be a great one. I sat on the patio which is open to the outside but because I was next to the tree, I felt protected from people walking by. I went classic with my food and drink orders. A roasted eggplant appetizer, picanha steak with potatoes and a couple of caipirinhas. This was my favorite meal. The steak was cooked perfectly and flavorful. The potatoes and crunchy fried onions were perfect accompaniments. The woman host was so great. She spoke English so we talked quite a bit. Everyone else on the staff was super nice too. I had a great experience. Yelp #23 2022

Brightly colored and well flavored food, nice staff, pretty setting. The salad was good and their version of mate iced tea could use a bit of sugar but I liked it.

This place is amazing, the atmosphere is sexy and quaint food is by far the best in the area~ Our server Lujan is amazing - very helpful and knows the menu and thankfully speaks English! This place is so good we went 2 days in a row! We had the Octopus Carpaccio divine, the Seafood pico de gallo-mayo dish reminds of a remixed shrimp scampi- is mouth watering, comes with toasted baguettes on the side a must try! I found it really hard to find a good salad, so the salad options on the menu again surprisingly delicious, I had the salmon vege bowl minus the salmon and sub tofu with a cauliflower base again OMG delicious the dressing is a Beetroot -tahini sauce *and note I am not a beetroot fan* but AGaIN so good. for my entree I had the Filet mignon, and pasta dish, now this is an odd pairing for me, but if you are craving red meat and pasta this is your plate...my friends had the Chorizo which is basically a Rib eye steak - really good, and grilled chicken breast with baked potato... this is a must stop place can't rave about it enough! love love love

They are located in the Ipanema area not far from the beach. This was recommended by our tour guide. They are in a great safe location and the setting was beautiful. I didn't have any problem getting a table at approx 1pm. The restaurant has a upstairs and downstairs, it does look small from the outside. The staff were bilingual and gave us some great recommendations for lunch. The food came out in a timely manner. I really enjoyed my meal and appetizer. All the food was seasoned to perfection! Good selection of drinks. Give them a try while visiting! Good shopping in this area also.

We keep going back to this place because it has a great setting, both indoors and out. Also the food is quite good and the specials change to give it variety. The service here is quite excellent, hard to find in Rio. The staff is polite and attentive and it's very easy to navigate (they have English menus too). I had the soup of the day, a vegetable soup which wasn't too hearty or thick or too filling, but had good flavor. I also got an appetizer, a ceviche with crispy fries to scoop it out on. I also tried a strawberry and blackberry blended drink which was awesome. You can add whatever alcohol you like (cachaça or vodka) or even keep it virgin. Save room for dessert, since they have a good selection!

Felt like I was in a restaurant in Long Island City or downtown Brooklyn or Jersey City. Beautifully decorated restaurant in a posh area of Copacabana, it was a very enjoyable experience. Just looking around the restaurant there were a to. of tourist and they had English menus and waiters that spoke great English. I had one of their Classic burgers and my girlfriend had their Prime Rib specialty burger. Both were out of this world. They serve very thick patties. We got two burger dinners and soft drinks which summed up to 28 USD. What a steal!

Came here for lunch. It was very busy as expected on a Sunday so opted for the seating at the bar. The service was great and there was a English menus available which was a great bonus for me! The meal and drinks was phenomenal. I got the caipirinha and octopus meal, as a side I ordered fries. The caipirinha had muddled pineapples. The octopus had the right amount of char and the fries were the perfect balance of crispy and soft. I didn't have one waiter/waitress/bartender per se as everyone working assisted me at some point or another which I happened to love! When I am back visiting I will definitely return to this restaurant!

Very nice place to sit and relax outside but covered. The servers are very nice and quick. They have English menus. We had the on the grill with a side and salad. I had the salmon. It was good. Could have been cooked a little longer but still very great. The WiFi is fast. And fun to people watch. I would def come here again!

The restaurant is in a lovely location near the Ipanema beach. Perfect place to eat after a morning at the beach. They have seating outside on the patio, which is lovely and great for people watching. Hubby and me came here for lunch after a morning of doing touristy stuff. They have vegetarian options - which I expect are hard to find in Rio. We ordered caipirinhas to start. Refreshing and perfect. I ordered a spinach salad with grilled mushrooms and feta cheese. Hubby ordered the veggie burger, for which we could choose 2 sides. We chose the couscous salad and fries. The food was great - tasty, fresh and flavorful. They have generous portion sizes, but we were famished and finished our entrees. It is a lovely place to eat a leisurely meal while at Rio - great service with a winning ambiance and great food.

Atmosphere is really relaxed and it has pretty decor. The food is excellent. You must try the brownie, if you love chocolate. Waiters are friendly and attentive.

I like the outdoor seating. The food is good but not too much different from the food in US. A good place for quick lunch

I was traveling solo in Rio and decided to try Puro because the prices were great and I can dine by myself and not look like my date stood me up. This place has two floors and outdoor seating. I chose outdoor because that's just always my go to lol. The place is still kind of small and intimate with little seating due to the space. Not many people spoke good English unfortunately. I had to use my translate app to communicate which wasn't an issue for me since I am in THEIR country. I ordered their shrimp and squash and it was delicious, nothing to completely brag and rave about but it was really good. I order their coffee mousse for dessert and had to send it back. It was too strong for my liking. Luckily, they did swap it out because sometimes in foreign countries they do not allow you to swap. If you don't like it you still have to pay. So I got their caramel cake which I lovedddd and I can rave about that. I wanted some of the meals I saw on here (from the pics) but they said they weren't available . I had a great time here and even with the language barrier I felt welcomed and would definitely recommend. Sorry I didn't take a pic of the menu but I'll say for my soft drink, entree and dessert everything came up to $26.83 usd so that's a win!! And they accept AMEX =]
