As soon as I checked in, I was offered a drink and then we got settled into a nice conversation about exactly what I wanted out of my appointment. I The stylist I had my appointment with was Julia, a junior stylist, and she was very thorough to make sure we were on the same page. She made sure I was comfortable during the entire 4 hour visit. I was not apprehensive to go with a junior stylist after reading reviews about the salon, and felt even better after our conversation when I sat down in her chair. All of the staff was very friendly and makes you feel at home. I was even able to nurse my son during the process without slowing anything down! The color came out awesome and I am so glad I went with flies + honey! I will definitely be going back to Julia. Overall, the salon is clean and a nice modern space. Although it is small- it is setup in a way that works perfectly and doesn't feel right at all! The staff is extremely friendly and after just one visit I felt like I'd been going there for awhile. They have great music playing and the vibe is upbeat! It definitely makes the time pass quickly. Lisa made appointments for me for the next two months for a touch up and an appointment for her client before me without a word that the salon would be closed! It is bad enough that she was late many times, changed times or days of appointments or just didn't show for a month. She is obviously unprofessional and does not know how to run a business or treat her clients. I sincerely hope she never opens another salon!!

The salon itself is really clean and has a lot of natural light! The staff are all incredibly sweet and helpful. Stephan cut my hair, he's such a talented stylist! My hair was very long and I wanted it cut short, Alexa Chung- style. I showed him a few photos and he knew exactly what to do! We decided to leave it a little longer than the photos just so I can transition in the cut. Which I lm happy I did. **Update** I still love this salon. I had an appointment there last week and unfortunately right beforehand I caught covid and I called to let them know. The man I spoke to was like "okay...so? Are you saying you want to cancel?" I was shocked - does this mean they would rather have someone come in with covid than have them cancel? I understand losing the time for them is bad, but would you rather have me come in coughing? After hanging up I felt really odd about the convo but didn't have the energy to think too much about it. Cut to...today (a little over a week later) I check my credit card account and they have charged it $185. For literally NO SERVICES. I called to inquire and he just says "Yep the owner makes the decisions and I'll see if she's willing to take the charge off but no guarantees". Ummm what? Due to their late cancel policy. I asked him if they would have let me come in with covid. Of course not, and they also have COVID policies where you sign saying you will not come in with it or symptoms of it. And yet they have the audacity to charge my card $185?? For a place that denies the ability to even use your credit card they sure seem to love charging it for literally nothing! Such a scam.

They never fail to impress me with how spot on they get my color and how they listen. They are extremely conservative with big changes but that is because they want to make sure you make those changes over time. For example, when I wanted to be a red head a few years ago they did this process gradually. Not only was this better for my hair but it also made it possible to go back to a blonde.
