    Kids, chicken tenders and fries

Food: - Chicken tenders: Amazing, fries tasted frozen but still good. One tender came cut open is it to prevent salmonella? - chicken Parm grinder: nine out of 10 really good marinara sauce is very good. One of my favorite grinders. I am really picky in this definitely delivered. Ambience: Walked in and was a bit confused. Turns out you go to the back deli order and then see yourself food is been brought to you. Tables were a bit dirty crumbs on the seats and tables. Could use an update, but looks can be deceiving food was very good. Service: service was great. Everyone was nice and accompanied us with anything we needed. It's a great stop if you're in Lexington and need a quick bite to eat.

I love stopping by this spot for lunch. I can walk into the back at the counter and order something to go. The only thing I don't like is how there are no descriptions for the food in the lunch area. So they typically have 3 different types of quinoa salad, etc. and it is hard to know the difference. Sometimes the staff isn't sure either. I usually just grab a bowl of the chicken soup to go on my break. The staff is friendly and they have lots of regulars and always make nice conversation and seem genuine. The prices are very reasonable too!

So this was my first time come here to celebrate a 88 year old man birthday.... the service was the slowest I ever seen arrived at 7 pm got served hour and half later.... I would not recommend anyone to come here unless you want to starve .... the food was not that good .... no one offered refill water .... had to ask twice to put the heat on .... needless to say ... after take bite of the cheese ravioli it was cold ..... the pasta was raw ... and the ricotta tasted old...the tomato sauce was watery no flavor might as well eat raw tomato.

We went to Via Largo the other night, one of our favorite places. The food and service is always great. I was a little disappointed that the Cosmo I had ordered was only filled 1/2 -2/3 of the glass. I order this drink all the time and it has always been to the top. I had heard after the fact from a few people that have been there recently they experienced the same thing. You pay for a cocktail drink it should be a full glass.

Unfamiliar with the menu, the window advertising "home of the fancy" swayed my choice a little and I felt that naturally I had to try it. Plus the bacon and mayo combo hooked me. No disappointments here, it was delicious! All of the ingredients were fresh and paired well together. I think the appearance threw me off a little, maybe from how the bread looks, but it tasted really good. My drink was just an iced coffee with carmel but next time I want to try the bottled maple cream cold brew because that was calling my name. Overall solid local spot that I would come back too. Their menu is quite original but still simple enough so you can find something for breakfast or lunch. And oh man, reading the description for their grilled Nutella fluff sandwich made my mouth water. Definitely need to come back for that. They are only open for breakfast and lunch so keep the hours in mind.

They are open for breakfast and lunch. The menu is small but is good. They have sandwiches, BLT, breakfast burritos, English muffins to name a few options. They have hot and cold coffees to choose from. My friend and I ordered both the fancy, which contains fried eggs, bacon, avocado, red onions and house mayo on a multigrain bread. I have to say it was very tasty. It is kind of pricy for just a sandwich. But I think the idea is that it's not a chain restaurant and they use healthy foods to make their sandwiches. It's a local place, which is great to support. It is small inside, although they have some tables and chairs to sit and eat. It is also very clean. It is located in a plaza, so there is parking. They do a few other locations. So if you're in this area, it is a must.

When she does trek down, it's for the delectable, overflowing with meat, pastrami sub from D'agostino's. There's so much pastrami that she takes out half of it and saves it for a second serving. My husband says that the pastrami is very lean and that's what makes it so good. Meanwhile, I'm the vegetarian who loves that they offer a cheese sub! They're also heavy-handed with the cheese portions! Along with having a small grocery market, they offer New England-made desserts, ice creams (Barts and Shain's of Maine), salty snacks (Wrap City chips), and ready to heat and eat entrees. D'Agostino's is handicapped accessible and has a small private parking lot with free parking. There's also on-street parking.

After pouring through reviews and local forums, people consistently mentioned D'Agostino's. I decided to give it a try. Everyone was right: It is a great sandwich! I ordered the small, traditional Italian sub. I ordered mine with easy oil/vinegar, tomatoes, hots, lettuce, and mayo. I'm not a fan of raw onions whatsoever. The sub arrived perfectly, fresh not soggy. The sub roll is super soft, yet somehow holds up to the vegetables and condiments! The bread is freshly baked and some of the best bread I've had from a sub spot! The sub was piled generously, yet sliced perfectly thin for a more "airy" bite. This is exactly how I like my sandwich. I am not a fan where it's like biting into a giant, thick slab of meat. Here, the meat is sliced thin and arranged in such a way that every bite is "airy". True sub fabs will know exactly what this means. The closest example to this is the chain, Jersey Mikes. The meats were sliced thin. Arranged perfectly on that pillow-soft sub roll. Veggies were great, fresh and crisp. Juicy tomatoes. Delicious hots that truly make the sandwich! This is our new go-to for subs in Waltham. Next time, I'll try to be more adventurous given they have a plethora of specialty subs. Sometimes, you just crave a solid, OG Original Italian Sub!

I got inspired by watching youtube to make a jambon buerre sandwich - supposedly a popular quick sandwich for Parisians. The sandwich is half a baguette with butter and French bistro ham. I tried searching all over for the French bistro ham with no luck. The only options were online sources with expensive shipping and/or expensive minimum order sizes. Somehow I stumbled upon MA-France nearby in Arlington and they sell jambon-buerre sandwiches. It's a small shop that sells sandwiches, pastries, and a small offering of French food products. Lots of pastries and baked goods like quiche, tarts, cookies, croissants, etc. The cheese offerings were very limited and basic. I can imagine that the cheeses that they sell are the same types and brands that they use for making sandwiches. For example, they sell President brand Brie - that you can also buy at Costco and market basket. Disappointing, but understandable because they can't afford to buy more variety and more expensive offerings without a big enough client base to buy those cheeses before they go bad. Getting back to the sandwich - it was half a baguette with some thick slices of butter and two pieces of French bistro ham. The bread was kind of dense and the crust was more chewy than crispy. I was disappointed that they didn't bother to spread the butter, but if they're not selling enough sandwiches then they're probably keeping the butter in the refrigerator - making it too difficult to spread. When I got home I fixed up the sandwich to my liking. Overall, the sandwich was okay, but not good enough to make me want to go back. At least I was able to solve my hunger for the jambon buerre sandwich.
