Unfortunately, we spent more time troubleshooting and trying to get the games to work than actually playing. Half of our group eventually just gave up and sat around chatting. That said, the food and drinks were absolutely the star of the show -- everything we ordered was fantastic and honestly the saving grace of the visit. Game Arena has a lot of potential and could be an incredible spot if the tech side was more reliable and smooth. Until then, it's more of a cool place to grab a bite and hang out than a true gaming destination.

Walking in, there were a number of people playing on PCs and on the consoles. Not overly busy for a Sunday night. But Seems the wait to use a console could be long as there aren't as many of those to use. They do have USB plugs if you want to bring your own controllers for the PCs. Had no idea about this as Im not the best on mouse and keyboard. PCs do seem to run super well for fast paced battle royale. Only issue is that the PCs don't have that many games. It's mostly popular ones but they don't all work for some reason. You can use the steam accounts on their system but logging into our own gave us trouble. Also, my friend had issues with his mouse and headphones. He had to keep flagging down staff to help him out. They are very accessible but this was kind of inconvenient. It's a cool space to hang though! They have a bar area and an upstairs area. You could honestly just come in to eat and get drinks without actually gaming. Food was good! My friends and I all got boneless wings. They are huge! It's a lot for the price. Korean fried chicken flavor wasn't at all Korean to me. But it tasted good. I added some fries and it came in a huge basket. Great prices in general! Even got a couple beers under $7 each. You order the food at the bar then they deliver it to you at your computer. They've got takeout containers if you need 'em too. Prices weren't bad. It was $15 for 3 hours and there's a time clock on the PC. They have monthly memberships if you come here a lot. This place wasn't here while I was at OSU. I'm glad they added it to the campus activities!

Not enough people RSVP'd for an actual party that night so we all bought our own tickets (adult tickets are $15 Thursdays, $25 other days) and met up there. Street parking is available but watch for signs to make sure you aren't parking somewhere that needs a pass. If you can't parallel park, maybe have someone drive who is comfortable doing it. In total, 10 people showed up including a child in a wheelchair. Our tickets were for an hour but I believe we took about 2 hours; there were maybe 4 other people we saw during that time so the owner didn't rush us out. The business has around a dozen themes and several walls with fun graphics and lights. It was easy to start our way in the back and work towards the front. Or you could start on the left or right and work your way around the U shape. It was a really fun way for us to be silly, take photos, and make good memories.

The team did a great job helping us celebrate by making a subtle birthday sign. They were also all very kind and helpful throughout the entire night. The candle making was easy and straight forward, and it was able to set while we did our class. Before class started they took our drink orders and they came quickly. We got a lemon drop and a paint water martini. Both were very tasty! Only a few people were on time, but they did give a few minutes grace period to let people find parking. By the time we got started the vibes were fun. Yahfa was our artist and she had an awesome Y2K playlist going. She explained all the steps clearly and gave us ample time to paint. We did a black light picture so most of the class was in the dark with the paint glowing. As someone who is not an artist this was so much fun! The whole process took about 2 hours, and it was easy to follow along from both her instructions and seeing her work projected on the tv. The team also made sure to regularly check in to see if we needed anything or wanted any drinks. At the end of our time, our paintings were mostly dry and our candle was set. We were also able to choose a painting from a number of options as a birthday gift for my husband. It was very sweet and a nice cherry on top of our night! We are so happy with how it went that we are already planning to go back and bring some friends along too! If you get the chance, this is definitely a fun activity for a date, friends, or even families!

Neither of those things are drawbacks, just things that would be helpful to know ahead of time if you've never been before! Inside is a very cozy atmosphere and welcoming environment! I am Deaf but my girlfriend loves jazz so I like to take her to places she's never been before. She loved the music so that was great! We ordered the hummus and they gave you plenty of it. I ordered the octopus and for $28 it was definitely not worth it nor was it delicious. They give you two small pieces. If I knew that I would have never ordered it. Plus it was not cooked properly. Octopus is my favorite food and I have many years of experience ordering it and cooking it myself. This was very disappointing. The one woman server did a good job managing about 10 couples herself. I would return but I would think twice about ordering dinner here.
