Neat little bar! Visited because my nieces band was playing outside. Had a couple of great beers, the mango doom and the Bush Organic Pilsner. Both, were light and tasty. I'm honestly shocked a place like this exists anywhere in America, let alone in an extremely trendy/touristy "strip" of Columbus! I only found this place because it's technically a "brewery" and I was searching for breweries near downtown with the Yelp app. HO BOY. It's so much more than that! This is like hanging out in the living room of the talented, counter-culture friend you always wanted to have but weren't cool enough to land. There always seems to be something going on: emo night, freestyling, karaoke, etc. The beers and drinks are STRONG and the music is LOUD. (like, seriously loud...literally louder than a Taylor Swift stadium, according to my watch) I ended up coming back here almost every night I stayed in Columbus and if I'm ever in the area again, this will be the first place I go! read more

Half Baked is one of a kind. Friendly staff too. As olds who miss our skateboard days I appreciate everything they do here. Keep being weirdly amazing and thanks for aways welcoming people of all ilks. They have interesting drinks and cheap snacks (pizza rolls, glizzy, mini pizzas, etc) Cheap cans of PBR is my kind of bar. This isn't going to be the spot for everyone but that's the best thing about it. This is a spot for people who lean a bit more into counterculture. If you like things a bit alt, graffiti, skateboarding, 420 friendly, and just chill in general (and don't mind parking in the short north) this is def the spot to go. read more

I've been here several times - normally early in the day, before the crowds. The bartenders have always been awesome - there is no denying that. It's been slow, they were chatty and friendly, so it wasn't just grabbing a beer in a quiet bar. All positives! But then tonight - a band is playing. Love love music. Wanted to check them out. Went from cool bar to "we are at capacity, sorry" and then letting several other people walk in. Like he was vocal about "oh hey, aren't you with the band? Oh hey, you were just here!" So... several people suddenly have a connection and need to be in for the "at capacity" event? Skater bar: "we can be elitist, too." I was worried about their "invite only club" but it seems they're extending it to their brewery as well. It was cool while it lasted. read more

Fun brewery with friendly staff. They did lot have a big selection of house brews on tap yet and a few were tapped out already. I had the Snickers brew and pickle flavored beer (both very good). They are right in the heart of Short North. Graffiti laced interior and they had the punk/alternative videos playing. Music was loud; which adds to the ambience. Looking forward to coming back to try more house brews. read more

The first thing that you notice about this place is the very cheeky signage they have outside. It's a 'smoke shop' and bar that I have passed many many times without going in, but a friend invited me recently so I went to check it out. The inside is small and boasts all things California skate culture. The walls are spray painted, the vibe is very beach punk, and they always have Half Baked and Lords of Dogtown playing on the TVs above the bar. Our bartender was Arna, super friendly and chill, great service. It's not the spot for inventive drinks... it's more like hanging out at the skatepark and sharing a 6 pack with your friends. The mix of folks who stop in seems to be pretty eclectic, and the environment is very counter-culture. It's like the Short Norths dive-y island of misfit toys. This is the place to take your punk skater friends from out of town (if you have any) to show them that Columbus does have the vibe in certain pockets. One thing I could complain about is that a lot of the hand painted hoodies and merch on the walls isn't for sale. Cmon yall, lets get some artists to do some more runs of merch because the culture you're selling is worth more than the drinks and vape pens. Not sure when I'll be back in, but I'm sure I'll need another dose of 16-year-old rebel nostalgia soon. read more

The vibe of this place is so chill. The owner is usually there and is seriously one of the greatest people I've ever met. The drinks are great, priced well and there are slays some type of special/seasonal offering. They had some drinks that came in an IV bag looking package: so cool and the taste was good. The screens are usually showing skater videos and can be a bit raunchy at times but appropriate for the area. Nothing you don't see everyday lol. I'd first like the preface this review- I am a 22 year-old bartender in college who can handle a night on the town honey. The Charlie Sheen cocktail is an abomination to humanity and had me lights out 2 minutes after I chugged whatever poison-laced crack pot neon blue liquid was served to me. Now, I'll be the first to admit; pouring a little baggie of white powder into an everclear laced bright blue long Island wasn't on my agenda for a Sunday night-it's the lords day. But little did I know I would be meeting Jesus that very night. Woke up with a black eye on my friends couch after trying to call myself an ambulance when I lost feeling in both my legs and puked up blue liquid for 2 hours. The 6 hours after ingesting that thing is a mystery even Nancy drew couldn't crack. This isn't your mamas cocktail, as if the drink wasn't enough, they've got you chasin this shit with a 9-volt big ass D battery to the tongue. I even drug tested myself the next morning to be certain i didn't accidentally take a Xanax while I was out. They've truly outdone themselves with this one- I will be back. read more
