I had a fantastic experience at Via 313 Pizza! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when explaining the menu and the different pizza styles for first time visitors. We started with the meatballs and bread crisps, which were the perfect appetizer. The meatballs were flavorful, and the bread crisps were great for soaking up every bit of sauce. We also ordered drinks from their seasonal menu, and I loved learning that proceeds from those drinks go to a local charity each quarter. I always appreciate businesses that find ways to give back to their community! For our pizzas, we ordered The Jalapeño Poppa in the Detroit style and the Plain in the Bar Style. Both were absolutely delicious! The Detroit style pizza had a perfectly thick, cheesy crust, while the bar style pizza was thin and crisp! I don't know what we were thinking trying to get a table for five at 6pm on a Saturday, but after we tried numerous places with 2+ hour waits, we opted to get pizza from Via 313 and take it back to our airbnb. Best decision ever! We ordered our food for pick up and it was ready as promised. Inside was your typical pizza place. We shared 3 pizzas: The Cadillac (Prosciutto, Gorgonzola, Parmesan, Fig Preserves, Balsamic Glaze), The Ambassador Bridge (Natural Casing Pepperoni, Sausage, Fresh Garlic, Oregano, House-Made Ricotta), and one other more typical topping pizza. Excellent pizza in a cool neighborhood. We were exhausted from doing SXSW and need a sit down dinner out of the music for a bit. We sat at the bar, which was nice and quiet. The bartender was awesome, super friendly and great service. We shared a large Caesar salad and a small Detroit-style Hawaiian pizza, which had pepperoni instead of the usual ham. The Detroit-style has a thick but light and chewy crust that's kind of crispy on the outside. I wouldn't normally order a pizza with pineapple but this really hit the spot. The combination of pineapple sweetness, jalapeño heat, pepperoni spice and chewy crust was spot on. The Caesar salad was very good with a nice touch of cheese crisp. The service was excellent, fast and friendly. We were there on a Tuesday, which is BOGO for any Detroit-style pizza. A great deal! Came in on a weekend for a late lunch and had a nice experience. The waitress was very friendly though seemed quite busy as the only food server. We got the seasonal special, pickle pizza, and an Ambassador pizza and both were great! The crust is perfectly crispy with melty toppings that contrast nicely. Like every other outpost, they have solid vegan cheese options and are incredibly accommodating when you want to build your own creation. I've been told that every crust is plant based, including the gluten free one, which is surprisingly great even though I do adore my gluten. Staff are all so sweet, absolute gems. Easy to talk with, always welcoming; they're what make the experience so great. Big bonus in this part of town is the fact that they have a small parking lot, not to mention plenty of street parking all around. My friends and I stopped by Via 313 to get some food in our system before getting drinks on 6th street! Coming from out of town, I had no idea what to expect. We did not do any prior research and this place turned out so much better than we expected! Our uber dropped us off on 6th street and went to the first place that we could find for a quick bite :) We tried their detroit style pizza. The fig and prosciutto option was AMAZING! We added arugula for some freshness. This pizza did not disappoint. Everything balanced together so perfectly and I loved the crust on it! We sat outside and it was such a vibe. Who doesn't love pizza! This restaurant is perfect if you do! They serve deep dish (Detroit style) and thin crust which I like that they give you both options. We had the deep dish pepperoni and a thin cheese. We got smalls in both and we had leftovers which I was happy about. The pizza was flavorful and not too greasy. We added jalapeños and hot honey. Via313 has the absolute best gluten free crust of any restaurant I've ever been to. It's soft, fluffy, and structurally sound. My favorite order is half Detrioter which has 2 different kinds of pepperoni and a nicely spiced tomato sauce. The other half is the Cadillac with prosciutto, balsamic and added arugula. I usually get take out and the wait times can vary on a busy night from 25-45 minutes but it is so worth it. Via313 is one of my absolute favorite pizzerias in Austin. I moved back from Chicago about 6 years ago and because I am a huge fan of deep dish pizza, Via313 is the closest I can get in ATX. I hardly ever order using Door Dash because I have had more terrible than good experiences, but on this particular day, I did not have the energy to deal with Austin's traffic, so I placed an order for delivery. The quoted delivery time was 45 minutes. When 45 minutes came and went, I checked the dash app and it looked as if my pizza was about to finally be picked up. About an hour into my order, I finally called and was told that they were about to call Door Dash to cancel the pizza and then call me because my pizza had been there waiting and no one had shown up to claim the order. I was given the offer of canceling the order or picking up a fresh, fully refunded order. I felt that was very generous and because we were starving, I decided to drive the 15 minutes to get my food. True to their word, they remade my order while I waited and funny enough, while there, a door dasher finally arrived to pickup my order. At this point, it was almost 2 hours after it was originally placed! The cashier did not let on that I was sitting right in front of him as they too were disgusted. Came for the first time to celebrate my friends birthday. Arrived around 5:45 ish and was able to be sat immediately (upon leaving around 6:45 there definitely was a wait so just be prepared if you are coming during prime dinner hours) The Texans game was on so they were offering happy hour specials even on the weekend, so we tried their margarita and red sangria. I enjoyed the balance of the sangria, marg was tequila heavy (which for many is likely not an issue... my friend is just a light weight) We both got the smaller pizzas and though I was interested in the tikka Masala special, it only came in the full order and being a first timer, I needed some variety. Also got the broccoli / cauliflower with goat cheese on top and that was a yummy appetizer while we waited. I enjoyed both of the options I ordered (I can't recall the name but one had hot honey and I think the other one was the omnivore) What I didnt eat, I took home, reheated in my air fryer the next day and was equally delighted. I'm gonna start off by just pointing out that someone doesn't order a Hawaiian pizza without wanting a bunch of pineapple and ham on it. It is utterly baffling to me that my Hawaiian pizza had a mere single slice of ham and single ring of pineapple on each quarter of the pizza. We were here cuz a group of friends were in the mood for 'za. I'd never heard of Via 313 pizza, and when we rolled up, I actually thought it was a cute one-off place; I was surprised then when I opened Yelp to review this place to find no, they're scattered all over Austin. The ambiance of the place is that weird "upscale industrial" that's all the rage; had a decent amount of indoor and outdoor patio seating. Indoors you'll be subjected to sports playing on flat screen TVs (though at least the volume was reduced); outdoors with the strung lights would've been nicer but we didn't have the weather for it in December. The waiter was attentive to us, explaining the menu and keeping us informed on the ETA of our food being ready. He deserves five-stars, just to be clear. He was helpful and remarkably patient when we proceeded to split our order into five separate checks. Kitchen was slow though. Sure, I had my friends to chat with and keep me company while we waited, and yeah it's a pizza place, so it's kind of to be expected. I do like knowing there's a place to get deep-dish Detroit-style, which is one of my favorite pizza varieties. But I'm uncertain if I'll ever find my way back to a Via 313s; I wasn't overly impressed. The frozen Detroit-style I can get from Walmart and bake at home is pretty much just as good (maybe my pallet simply isn't refined enough to appreciate the difference?). I was enticed by the seasonal dessert menu, featuring a "hubcap" cookie (think BJ's pizookie). It tasted really good, but it was considerably smaller than I was expecting for the price. Sad face... Bathrooms are separated out male and female, no all-gender or gender-neutral available. For parking, there's a gravel lot about a block away along the railroad tracks up against a very graffiti'd building. It's free! read more

Cozy pizza shop with a wide selection of pan and Detroit style pizzas. Seating available both outside and inside with a bar as well. With the inside being small, it can get pretty loud pretty fast should the tables fill up. Pizza was good, would recommend the 4 slice Detroit style for 1 super hungry person or 2 people who just need a bite to eat. Also, the water was very crisp no hints of tap water in my cup. Service wasn't super attentive but we were seated quickly so no complaints there. There is a very small parking lot next to the restaurant but I would recommend walking or ride share if possible. read more

Almost every single Austinite I've spoken to has declared Via 313 as their favorite pizza place, from vegans to meat eaters alike. I'm no pizza connoisseur, but I do enjoy a good pizza. If you have never tried a Detroit-styled pizza, it might be the day. Think of deep dish served in a rectangular tray. The sides of the crusts are lined with cheese, and cooked until crispy. My go-to is the Detroiter (two stacks of pepperoni!) with cheese and tomato sauce on top. For those who are vegans, Via 313 is also for you! You can order vegan cheese on your pizza (& your cheese bread), and tbh JUST AS AMAZING as the real thing. We were on East 6th street the week before Christmas to get in the spirit and had a not so great service experience across the street from Via, so we decided to pop in for a bite! So happy we did! I've visited the other locations and have loved Via since the OG food truck days but this location takes the CAKE... (or pie in this case) Dylan the bartender is the kinda bartender that makes bar people like us wanna come back! Great service!! The pizza was FIRE!! We recently tried the Jalepeno Popper pizza at a different Via location and it wasn't that great... by happen chance we tried it again at this location and it was AMAZING! Despite being a New Yorker Via takes the cake on my favorite none-New York style pizza in Austin! Yes, I know you can get a round pie but their square Detroit style is just so good. They have a $12 lunch special which is 2 square slices of cheese or pepperoni, a salad and a fountain soda. Can't beat it! Want to elevate your Detroiter pepperoni square? Request Mike's Hot Honey (s/o to Brooklyn)!!). Great environment for a casual dinner. Lots of indoor and dog friendly outdoor seating, with sail shades to protect you from that Texas Sun. The service from Matayah and the manager was superb! We were visiting from out of state. They gave great recommendations and suggestions on things to checkout. All the staff were friendly and busy tending to customers. The place was clean and the ambience was upbeat with good music. They have an automobile theme with hubcaps on the wall and the take out box carries the theme as well. I can appreciate that as it's all in the details for me. The food.... We ordered the Detroit style pizza (square, thicker crust) with half pepperoni and half Hawaiian. It was velvety goodness with a good crunch: cooked to perfection! The best pizza I've had. The Caesar salad and cheese bread were just as good and the ranch dip, yum. I'm don't care too much for ranch but this one was buttery and just tasted different from the rest. Ate here on my latest visit to Austin. Via 313 came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. There were four of us and we ordered two small pizzas - the Carnivore and the Rocket. Also one Caesar salad for the table. Both pizzas were delicious and satisfying. The salad was fresh and well seasoned. The beer selection was limited but appropriate. Service was helpful and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was comfortable but not luxurious. More or less a typical current pizza joint vibe. Parking is a private lot and somewhat limited although we had no trouble finding a spot. All in all a wonderful introduction to the Detroit style of pizza and worthy of multiple return visits. read more

First time at Via 313 Pizza. This is located on East 6th street downtown. It's street parking, which is hard to find. But literally across the street is LAZ Parking for $12.00 I came on a Wednesday night, around 9pm. Didn't seem too busy, many tables open inside and out. It was still humid outside, I opted to sit in. I walked to the hostess stand, waited for someone to seat me. I was given a menu. They offer a few different pizza items. I was looking for something a little more simple. MC5 is what I ended up ordering. Basically a cheese pizza. Several different cheeses. When the lady took my order she did say about a 25 minute wait. And I was okay with that. I think when it came it was more like 15 minutes. But I wasn't timing them. Pizza is a thin crust. Which normally I don't like, but it was actually really good. Crust had a little crunch to it, and soft as well. I like red chili flakes on my pizza. I had to grab a shaker from an empty table. After the chili flakes, pizza was perfect. The cheese, even though it was a lot, wasn't stringy. Which is a good thing. I want to fold my pizza in half, take a bite and not have to struggle with cheese hanging out of my mouth. Well done pizza. I was full after 3 slices. I asked for a box and my check. I waited maybe 10 minutes, but no big deal. My check came with a lollipop, sweet touch. We started with their cheesy bread, it was hot and delicious. I love when the bread has a crunch to it, this was prepared just right. We all enjoyed the bread so much we were still talking about it through the pizza. The pizza was delicious, same, it came out nice and fresh and hot.
