She listened when I described my desired color as a sheer with a shimmery finish, and she found the perfect combination of two polishes to create it. She noticed my discomfort as she was working on my big toes, and she looked carefully and worked out that my toenails on each side were slightly in-grown. She trimmed them both gently, and my toes feel much better already. I had a horizontal split on one thumb, and she fixed it up with acrylic before moving on to the rest of the manicure. It blends perfectly with the rest of my nails and is sturdy with no more risk of it catching and getting worse before it can grow out. I am definitely happy with both sets of nails. This is the first salon I've been to that I am eager to patronize again.

Once it was time to do the design he says "just to let you know we aren't doing French" and then proceeds to color my entire nail. Never cut down my cuticles, left glue all around my nails, a few of them were even crooked. His attitude and vibe were very bossy and I didn't like that at all. My haircut is a very short pixie and in my opinion fairly easy to manage, but haircuts that are done incorrectly can make or break a style. I have had the worst cuts by the so called best, and others that I wonder why they're still open. Don't get me started, just read my reviews, lol I need to update a few since the services have deteriorated. At any rate, I was getting desperate I began to experiment with barber shops, and unconventional establishments in pursuit of the Nirvana of cuts, lol. I got closer to the perfect haircut at the unconventional establishments than I did in the Boujee hundreds of dollars for walking through the door places. (Yes I did that) I recently visited Pamper Salon and Day Spa for the first time, and initially I didn't think I would return, (there was a blue gel incident that left me feeling mehh) but that cut. I had to confirm that it wasn't a fluke. I walked in and was greeted, and immediately seated in Anne the stylist chair. The place appeared to be more like a nail salon than a total beauty experience. Nevertheless I requested a trim, and shape up (in order to maintain healthy hair and growth you must cut off dead ends, and toxic relationships lol). Anywho, Anne washed my hair (BTW heavenly scalp massage), and immediately began cutting my hair. I could tell she was good and a perfectionist, because she's only the second person who didn't have to keep checking the front of my face to gage whether the sideburns are even or not. I was really impressed, however there was this blue gel situation that had me kind of funky. Upon completion of the haircut I requested styling mousse or gel for hold, and Anne didn't have any hair products. I wasn't requesting any specific or special products, whatever they had if appropriate was fine. I'm not very particular about styling gel/mousse as long as it doesn't turn my hair a different color, no alcohol, toxins or animal testing. Let me tell you resourceful Anne located a gel for me and commenced to apply. It appeared blue and I questioned it, and she assured me that it would dissolve upon rubbing in, (I have purchased products like that so I thought ok) well it didn't. I was very disturbed, however went home and washed my hair again and had a hell of a time getting it out, that's a whole nother story. I'm really surprised at how I handled that, lol. I assure you that the review wasn't going to be as nice. When I finally got my color corrected, that haircut was fly as s**t! A month later it was time for my routine cut, and as hesitant as I was, I loved the cut. I gave Anne another shot, and I'm absolutely ecstatic with the results! The best part of my experience was that Anne paid attention and actually listened to me. She felt badly about the blue incident. She was so knowledgeable and asked me exactly what I wanted. She took her time to make sure everything was perfect. She was eager to style my hair to my satisfaction without my interference and even purchased better styling products, I was blown away at her attention to detail. She made me feel so special. I've never had such an amazing haircut before! They offer other services at Pamper Salon and Day Spa. I will be trying out some of the other services really soon. The spa also offers facials, waxing, and massage services. I highly recommend Pamper Salon and Day Spa to anyone looking for a cost effective relaxing and luxurious experience, and amazing cut. The staff is friendly, and they have a good variety of services. I'm definitely going back for my monthly designer cut by Anne!

The thinner side of my hair has more highlights than the thicker side, there's very little in the back, and the top is much blonder than the bottom. I went back to have the tone corrected, but after one wash it looked the same again. Im very grateful they were willing to fit me in again. She was the voice of reason and listened to what the people in her chair wanted. I had a party of 5 for mani/pedi (3 adults/ 2 kids) and we arrived at 2:40p. To start, there was a lot of pressure when picking our colors to get powder or gel, even on the 9 and 11 year old. I wanted French tips but after realizing Vincent only wanted to yodel powder, I chose a neutral basic polish. Mel had to speak up and tell him we didn't want gel or powder. We were all seated in the pedi seat. Vincent worked on me, Mel on the 9 year old child pedi, and the son on the 13 year old. Later, Mel worked on the other adult pedi and the son on the 11 year old pedi. Vincent was fast. Too fast; I feel I didn't get the proper care and attention. Vincent was finished with my pedi before Mel finished the 9 year old child pedi. Worse he decided to attempt to recut my nail AFTER applying my dark red polish and accidentally cut my nail bed. It is now sensitive to touch and painful to walk with shoes on. Only after a loud "ouch" did he stop even though I tried to pull my foot back as soon as I felt him touch the skin. It was a truly stupid move, I mean who cuts a nail when you can't see what is below it? Additionally, he took 2 phone calls and appointments while doing my pedi and he still finished before the other 2 pedi that started at the she time (this is important later in the story) Moving to my mani, I started by clearly stating to leave them long and it was ok that 2 broken ones remain shorter. I have gorgeous, strong natural nails. Two were only broken because I work with horses and dump 50 lbs muck tubs daily. He starts cutting and I remind him to leave them long. Then I realized he was changing my pretty square nail into a point. I told him to leave them square. He then goes back over the points and cuts them to square. By this time, I can see my fingertips which I really don't like. He checks his works, picks up the clippers again and I threatened to take his clippers and throw them across the room if he cut more off. The rest of the mani was fine but the damage was done. My mani was complete before the 2nd adult and other child starts. In walks another appointment which he just made while doing my pedi. Instead of starting the other 2 in my party, he takes the new client. In hindsight, probably good for the others in my party. The other adult was alarmed that both my mani and pedi were complete and mostly dry before her toenail polish was applied. I moved back to the pedi chairs with the rest of my party. The 11 year old pedi finally started when 2 more appointments walk in for 4:30 appts (they close at 5pm). Remember, I was done, the 9 year old was done, the other adult was almost done with her pedi, the 13 year old was waiting to get her mani, and the 11 year old pedi was just starting. I am getting tired of writing so let's end by pointing out the other 3 customers who came in while we were there were all finished when we left at 5:45p. With only 3 workers, I feel attention should have been paid to my party to finish our agreed services before working on other appointments. Ask for Mel; they definitely need her in this salon. avoid Vincent if you like your natural long nails. Be prepared for a little bickering among the staff.

What an amazing space! First off, the salon was clean, well kept and felt very comfortable. They…read morehad multiple pedicure/manicure stations which could accommodate multiple people. I got the aurora signature pedicure as a treat to myself which included a hot stone massage, paraffin wax dip and even a neck/shoulder massage at the end. They also gifted me a packet of collagen serum lotion to use at home to keep the pedicure softness going. My entire experience lasted about 80 minutes and I was in heaven the entire time. My nail tech took his time and made sure to check in with me to ensure I was comfortable throughout the process. I did receive gel on my toes and got a French design which was executed perfectly. I will definitely be back for a pedicure the next time I need one. Things to note, I did notice that the eyebrow station is in the corner but not very covered from view of others, I'd prefer more privacy, there also is not a separate massage room for the neck massage so it is done in the main salon. Pro-tip they do offer a 5% discount if you pay in cash just something to consider.
