We went to listen to our 9 year old granddaughter sing one song in her school chorus there. Parking is available for $25 and valet is $35 but if you have a handicap placard, it's free. When we went in, there was lots of signage. The park is gorgeous. Clean, lots of security, blooming flowers, lush greenery. Unfortunately we missed the chorus because they started earlier than the time they told us to be there. However, we met up with rest of family and enjoyed the park. The kids went on the carousel. I joined them. Then there were kiosks filled with various merchandise which they were selling. Afterwards, there was an equestrian jumping competition. I was in awe. There was stadium seating. This was all FREE! There was a huge screen broadcasting the entire event for all to see. Food areas were on the grounds to purchase fast food. It was something to behold and we can't wait to return another time with other friends to view the horses and next competition. I understand they have this every Saturday.

We purchased tickets for the Tiki restaurant to have guaranteed seats, however we would not do that again. The open seats that are first come - first serve are actually directly in front of the riding ring. The tiki area has limited view with each a price of $100 a ticket. Made little sense once we figured out the view was not great. We ate food there, it was good- not amazing. It did fill the spot. There are plenty of areas to take photos with statues of horses, a free merry go round, flowers, etc. It was great entertainment. I grew up competing and riding hunter jumpers, so I am partial ... however I think anyone would enjoy an evening out viewing these beautiful horses, people watching, eating and shopping! Enjoy! (four stars due to the limited view with a high price to sit there) Parking was $25 and the event to walk in was free.

My parents hosted a very special party in Flavours, Wycliffe's most distinguished (and expensive) restaurants. It was elegant and the food and service were perfect (as always). We dined in the main dining room a few times.. and I can recommend just about everything; from my parents recommendations and over the years i have ordered a large variety of things, mostly seafood, but their chopped steak is wonderful too. I love love the lunch salad bar so much.. it has an extensive salad bar, fruit bar, two kinds of soups, freshly made breads and desserts, plus a soft serve ice cream bar (I'm sure I'm leaving things out). The Sunday brunch is the largest and most special brunch I've ever been to.. that's saying a lot as brunch was a regular part of my life until I got married in my early 30s.. and still I brunched occasionally. I'm not sure if you have to be a guest of a member to dine in the clubhouse, but if you ever get the opportunity I would suggest you accept it! I want to also mention that Wycliffe servers and staff (including the valet service staff) are some of the most friendly, pleasant, happy and professionally trained people. Chatting with them is definitely part of the wonderful experience.

I've loved coming here since I was a kid, and my visit this year did not disappoint with my own…read morekids. This was the first year they really wanted to ride the rides. The first time we showed up just when the fair opened on the weekend, and parking was ample, so we didn't upgrade. When we returned on a later day after school, we upgraded the parking so we could get in right away. Either way. I finally know my way around: we entered through YesterYear village. I prefer leaving this way as well, as there is some space for kids running around and some benches in the village to chill and sit, plus a bathroom to use, before leaving. And... they had these giant hot glazed donuts that might have made its way into my hands for the ride home! On our tamer first visit, we looked at all the animals, and pet all the animals - my favorite part! Parade: short, certainly not worth 'waiting' for. The ice show: interesting. it was free. I appreciate the attempt to make a pirate themed ice show but some of the costumes fell short. People were snickering around us, which didn't help. Thank you to the awesome ice skaters! A cool spot to 'rest' in an air-conditioned indoor space on a hot day. The magic show: well my kids loved this. Silly, but they loved it so much they wanted to see the exact same show on their return visit. Pirate acrobat show: my younger kid liked it a lot, my older son could barely tolerate, but for me it was a miss (the pirate theme, especially). Acrigulture mini-fun row: this was so fun for my kids. Saddling fake horses, scooping fake poop, milking a fake cow: they thought this was golden. Fair food: we ate these giant donuts that were super reasonably priced for the amount of donut and filling we received. Note to self: no one ever finishes anything: bring ziplock bags because they complained they wanted to 'eat it later.' I let my kids get cotton candy, and some other ice cream concoction another time. They mostly ate the same kid theme of chicken tenders, fries, burgers, pizza. I mostly ate their leftovers- because they were finished by the time I could think about finding my own food. And then I added on some arepas later- so overpriced but delicious in the moment. My kids loved the kids rides. We bought the fastpasses, which were unnecessary on the kids rides, but a lifesaver when they moved to the adult rides. It's so fun for them to be able to repeat their favorite rides over and over. I did just buy tickets the first time, but the unlimited wristbands ahead of time. Note to self: splurge on purchasing the wristbands ahead of time! My kids begged to return every day. Why is the fair so long?! J/K... please extend LOL

This year, the fair is Pirate themed. Upon entering, there is an exhibition of Black Beard's ship and all its treasures. The fair for me, is all about the food and games. There was so much to choose from. Turkey legs, corn dogs, funnel cakes and fried everything. A first for me was the fried gator on a stick. It wasn't bad at all. They were lots of games and rides for everyone. Keep in mind the biggest wheel is separate from the other rides even with an unlimited ride pass. It's an additional $7 per person. We also had to join another line to get our wrist bands. The lines moved fairly fast so this wasn't a problem. Also available, was the "Yester Year" village or as some know it, the cracker settlement. There is also a petting station for the kids. Lots of ponies, llamas and goats. I even saw a few chickens running about. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean their bathrooms were. This is an automatic 5 star rating for me. The fair runs from 12pm - 10pm. This year, there is a downloadable app with all info as well as their scheduled shows. Already excited about next year!

I have wanted to come here for ages, but the timing never seemed right. We were in Delray too…read moreearly or too late or on the wrong day. Last week, everything came together and we were finally able to stop by the museum after a nearby lunch. The museum is located on the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Swinton. We've passed by many time going east on the avenue. There is metered parking on the side streets. The museum is in the hundred year old plus Delray School House. We entered and were greeted by the docent/volunteer. She told us a little about the building's history and which classrooms were originally located where before the remodeling was done. She also told us that they have no permanent exhibits, and that all the art work in the building was for sale. If you were interested in buying something, you should inquire about the price of the piece in the museum store. The first floor was occupied with works by the American artist, Dorothy Gillespie. Although she was a painter, she also worked in many different media. She was well known for her creative, colorful metal works of art. One quote compares her level of metal craft and skill as equal to Chihuly and his glassworks. On the second floor -- yes, there is a big staircase, but we took the elevator from inside the gift shop/store -- are works by Chilean-born Gustavo Novoa. Approximately 30 paintings show colorful, luxurious jungle scenes with animals. The volunteer said his art reminded her of the lushness of Gauguin's paintings. On second floor, there is also an exhibit of mosaics from a Mexican school. They are portraits of famous people -- actors, singers, etc. You will recognize most of them. The tiny pieces are put together in intricate patterns to form the faces. In some of them, they incorporate other materials -- like a piece of jewelry as a broach, leather as clothing, etc. They are fascinating to view up close first and then step back to see the overall portrait. The exhibits rotate periodically. The museum entrance is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 per person which we happily paid. I'm glad we finally got a chance to visit.
