Obviously it's never a good feeling having to bring your pet to the ER, but Veterinary Emergency Group made the entire experience so much easier. From the moment I called to the moment I left, the customer service was truly top tier. What I appreciated the most was how much they prioritized my pup's comfort. They let me keep him right by my side the entire time while they cared for him, which meant everything to me. You can tell they really understand how stressful these situations can be. It was on the expensive side, but that's expected with any emergency visit. DR Alvarez was amazing, patient, and very gentle with my pup. I honestly have no complaints. Thank you!

I had such a great experience here. The veterinarian was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive with my ferret. You can tell he truly cares about animals and takes the time to make both pets and owners feel comfortable. I really appreciated how gentle and understanding he was during the visit. Highly recommend!

Friendly and competent staff that does a great job supporting pet parents during some of the most difficult times. Everyone always has a positive and empathetic attitude. You can often get a private room with your pet for an overnight, which is a great option. The have snacks and beverages in case you're there for some time. That being said, I think some of the facilities could be a bit more cleaned. For example, we noticed dried blood stains right under our feet and they were not from our animal. Otherwise, a great team.

We took our cat there due to Jaundice, as we had noticed yellowing in his ears. The lady doctor who was there reassured us that she has to run all the diagnostic testing in order to pin-point the reason for the jaundice. $1,900 and 2 hours later, she came back empty-handed, and her recommendation was that we left the cat there for three days in order for them to provide the care that he needed and to take more tests in order for her to find the reason he has jaundice, something for which she failed to do so during the first round of diagnostics. She was very adamant about..." we have to find the reason why.." she kept repeating over and over. You would think, with $1,900 worth of tests that she would be able to find the reason why. Regrettably, we decided to leave him there for a day, just to be on the safe side, which cost us another $3,200. We came the following day, picked him up, went home, only for his condition to be worsen. One day, I called a friend of mine, and during our discussion he mentioned to me, that one of his best friends was a vet up in Port St. Lucie. My best friend got his friend on the phone, and after the Vet speaking with me, I realized that these people at the VEG Hospital in Miami not only are incompetent and did nothing more than racking up the bill, but also it turns out that they failed to even give us the most important medication for his condition, which would support his liver (jaundice affects primarily the liver). My friend's veterinarian asked me if the VEG Hospital gave me that medication to support his liver, and I told him no, they never gave us that medication. I explained to him that they racked up the bill and that the doctor was very aggressive with her sales approach and technique. And we ended up paying a total of $5,000, which included the diagnostic treatment for which by the way they came back empty-handed, and also a day of a stay which provided no benefit to our cat. Here we are, a week after and we are calling them to give us a medication that they should have given us from the get-go. Now we are in the second week and we're calling them to refill his liver support medication, for which now they're refusing to do so. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this hospital as they are incompetent, and the only thing they know is how to rack up the bill. Find a vet that will care for your pet instead of caring for their bank account. $5,000 after, you would expect that they would know what's the reason for the jaundice. Not in this hospital, apparently. And this is a note for the VEG management: please don't even bother to respond with your generic crappy response how you care about customer service and how you would like us to reach out back to you, so you can address the concern. Spare yourself from the embarrassment.

This last Friday I had to rush my cat to emergency because of gagging and kind of erratic behavior. This was my first time going to emergency and didn't know where to go. After a quick search on Yelp and Google and reading some of the reviews, I decided to go to Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Edgewater. It's within a mile from my place so it was good that I didn't have to go across town this late during the night. Upon arrival, I was greeted and they started examining the cat. There was zero wait for me on a Friday night at 2 am, yes zero wait. The place is pretty clean, modern, with a lot of equipments onsite. The personnel was pretty knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain what it could be, what they were proposing, the financials, everything. I can't be happier with the professional service I received. Around 4 am, I was heading out with a treatment, x-rays and full examination done, etc. A few days later, they even called me to follow up and see how he was doing. This was a surprise for me, not even doctor offices call you to see how you are doing. I really give them kudos for that. Thanks VEG for making this less stressful than what it could have been.

Thank you so much to everyone on the team for helping my dog and for being incredibly supportive and attentive to us as owners during such a difficult and emotional time. I came in late Sunday night with my 13-year-old dog who was in a lot of distress and not doing well. It was terrifying, but from the moment we arrived, the team took immediate action. Dr. Mish didn't hesitate for a second to begin helping him, and both she and Dr. Gonzalez were compassionate, supportive, and incredibly thorough. Thanks to their care, they were able to diagnose and stabilize him enough to get him healthy and ready to go home. I truly believe their fast and thoughtful response made all the difference. What meant the most to me was being allowed to stay by my dog's side all night and into the next day. They set us up in a private room with a bed so I could be close to him, and they gave me updates throughout the night without me ever having to ask. Most veterinary offices wouldn't even consider that, and it meant everything to me. The nurses on both the night and day shifts were so attentive and caring. They constantly checked on my dog, made sure he was comfortable with warm blankets and a soft bed, and were always ready to answer any questions I had. One nurse in particular, Nicole, stood out for how dedicated she was--always checking on her patients and treating them like her own. This was a truly heartfelt and warming experience during one of the hardest moments I've faced with my dog. I'm beyond grateful we ended up at this emergency vet. The level of care, compassion, and humanity we received is something I will never forget. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

Opens tomorrow March 9. Came for the meet and greet. Very modern facility with up to date technology. Emergency medicine and have physicians who specialize in exotics. Staff very personable. They have an open concept and allow you to stay by your pets side. It's feels like family when you walk in. Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. They also have an Aventura location and plans to open more locations.

You think that you are empowered by writing this in a public forum, but it is not going to get you anywhere. We are a reputable clinic with a reputable staff which care about animals and we care about our work we take a lot of pride in it But things go wrong and it's not always our fault you admitted that the other dog was playing and sutures break they're not indestructible. We had this discussion you left Happy. The wound was sutured closed in an appropriate manner that you feel that you were mistreated. We would've been happy to help if you would've come in with a nice attitude and we would've done our best to make sure the situation was dealt with. I have to say that part of the staff really seems to care but my experience with the vet Raluca Anghel was not the best. She pressured me and made me feel horrible as I tried to decide what to do about the situation. First she recommended me to leave my dog overnight for a cost of over 5k than when I said I wouldn't leave my baby there she started saying my dog was not responding to the treatment and very quickly her new alternative was euthanasia. So if I had paid 5k to leave my dog there would I pay 5k to have her euthanized the next morning? The whole interaction with her was awful and it was just not worse because I was basically unable to think straight. I left with a 2k bill and without my baby. When I asked for the exams she said she did, they sent me a few things but even though I paid for a ultrasound I didnt get any images. I emailed them about it and they say they didnt save it. Why would I pay for something and they would not keep it to share with me if needed? When I emailed them questioning I receive no response. One disappointment after another. I have other dogs so I already did my research on other Emergency vets in the area and I hope you do as well instead of taking your loved pet here.
