So it came down to the first time I had to go away out of town on vacation with my children and I was not going to do it because I was so afraid of leaving my dogs. I know that sounds crazy but it is what it is. I left my two babies with Yanely and it was such an awesome experience she sent me pictures, took pictures of them took such good care of them and they were so happy and well cared for and safe while I was gone. Based on the severity of our dogs' condition they took him right in to be seen. This type of care takes time, so we spent quite some time there. They offer water/coffee and other snacks to your disposal. Bathrooms were clean and the staff was well informed to keep us up to date with our dogs care. Unfortunately, our pet came in very sick that night and he had to be euthanized. The care and compassion that their team offered us was incredible that night. My family's emotions and discomfort were immense but they did the most to assure we felt as comfortable as possible in this extremely difficult moment. A huge thank you from my family to Miami Veterinary Specialists, although this moment was one of the worst for our family they did everything they could to support us.

The staff came across as cold and completely disengaged. No eye contact, no sense of urgency, no empathy. In an emergency setting, that's the bare minimum, and it just wasn't there. What shocked me most was the lack of any immediate assessment. My dog was struggling, and instead of a quick triage or even basic reassurance, we were left waiting with zero direction. It felt like nobody cared. After waiting far too long, I left and went to VEG ER for Pets, and the difference was night and day. They were attentive, responsive, and actually treated the situation like an emergency. Miami Veterinary Specialists needs to seriously rethink how they handle patients and owners the moment they walk in. Because right now, they're failing at the most critical part: first contact. At this rate, they'll lose people before a doctor ever even gets involved.

I can't begin to explain, without becoming emotional, what Kendall Pointe Animal Hospital the Vet's, nurses, the front desk reception, and the entire staff mean to us and our precious MistyMoon. We brought MistyMoon home Oct 30, 2022. On Nov 26, 2022 MistyMoon became very ill vomiting and non stop diarrhea. We called VCA Knowles Snapper Creek, MVS Sunset & 86 Ave, and VEG ER S. Dixie & 119. They all had a 4 to 5 hour wait and recommended we go to Kendall Pointe Animal Hospital. I am so grateful they were too busy and referred us to Kendall Pointe!! Suffice it to say that we can not thank Dr. Del Monte, Dr. Gallardo, Dr. Monroe, both Dr.'s Garcia, Dr. Carballo Capote, and Dr. Quiles for the exceptional professional care they provided to our MistyMoon each and every time we take her in for either a routine visit or an urgent emergency visit. Especially on the two occasions the emergency turned into multiple over-night stays. Leaving her was very difficult but we knew she was in very capable and loving hands. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. When one adds a pet to one's family, medical care should and cannot be based on the cost. I was charged over $3,000 for and ultrasound and bloodwork, received a concerning diagnostic and have asked between 4 separate follow ups, for the results to be sent to me so that I can take next steps in seeking treatment options. I have received nothing -- the staff continuously ignores emails and it is nothing but empty promises on the phone that it "will be sent". Within minutes the vet came in and told us some very difficult news and we knew she wasn't going to make it. They rushed us into a quiet room and brought her in so we could say our goodbyes before she passed. They gave her meds to help her make the transition painless. It was one of the most difficult things I've had to endure. My husband and I were devastated and heartbroken. However, the team at LeadER was incredible. They were kind, caring, understanding, and knowledgeable. They let us grieve and have as much time with our baby girl as we needed. It was the only light in that dark time. I was appalled that how their behavior changed simply because I questioned the estimate . I will never come back . It felt like the doctor simply wanted my money , not to take care of my pet . They held my dog in the back until I paid the visit fee . ( which I had no problem doing ) . Once I paid , they tell someone in the back that my dog was ready to leave . Basically is a very money hungry place . They held my dog "hostage" in the back until I paid . Awful experience . Dr Clay Philips made us feel our pet didn't matter . Bad enough that I had to drive with one hand through a heavy storm with one hand while I held the shaking dog with the other. All the while having my two little girls on speaker phone, crying because they thought they killed the dog. I arrived with white knuckles on my steering wheel hand and totally frazzled from the drive and freaking out, crying kids. Much to my pleasant surprise, the team at this hospital was top notch. They were attentive, professional, thorough and very empathetic. It was so good that I think I will have to shift my schedule and go there for regular visits. We have 2 doodles who get into things they shouldn't , this time the trash and one ingested feminine products. They never mentioned the importance food selection or the possibility of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). They never mentioned specialized blood tests for senior cats, even though she was obviously aged. She was examined mostly by techs; the actual vet spent less than 10 minutes with her and only said she was a 'good-looking cat.' Now my cat is dead from CKD. One should expect much more from a premium-priced veterinary hospital.
