I'd just like to say that this clinic is truly amazing. I moved here from NWFL in May so no established vet yet due to not needing annuals until next year. Was running out of options w/ my work schedule & my coworker recommended VEC Oakland. Annette took my call early in the day while I was still at work & very quickly got my cat & I into an exam room once I was able to get there later in the afternoon. Dr. Lieberman & Rayna both took great care of my Luna after it turns out she fractured her fibula. Both were very nice & took the time to answer my questions as well as explain everything that was occurring from exams to costs. Rayna especially showed a lot of love to my often timid cat while getting her assessed/treated & I really appreciated that. CareCredit is offered here & a big help if you need emergency services. Ian & Kyrra made checking out easy w/ CareCredit & put all my paperwork in a folder. That may seem small to some, but everything this clinic did made this stressful situation easier for me & my Luna. Definitely will go back should my babies ever need emergency care again. Thank you all so much!

They rushed her back for evaluation and it turns out she had a mass on her spleen that burst, which, in turn, caused her spleen to rupture. She was hemorrhaging and the situation was pretty critical. The way that this team of professionals sprang to action, walked us through everything that was happening while stabilizing her, and rushed her to surgery and managed this complex case afterward was nothing short of heroic. Beyond that, the tools they have rival human grade trauma centers. The staff went above and beyond in every respect. I witnessed a stray cat get hit by a car, and I couldn't leave it there suffering, so I brought it to them. I asked if they could euthanize it at a low cost, as I wouldn't be able to afford treatment. Instead, they took the cat in, stabilized its condition, and promised to transfer it to a shelter in the morning. They didn't charge me a single dollar. I truly wish there were more compassionate and caring people like the staff at this clinic. Thank you so much again.

I had originally brought my boy to a different emergency vet and they did everything wrong, but I didn't know it until my pup was getting worse (much worse) within a couple days. I brought him to Dr. Hassan and he very quickly made a turn for the better. And when that same dog had a stroke a year ago, Doc did everything right. Dr. Hassan gave me 2.5 more active, healthy years with my pup than I otherwise would have had. How do I quantify what that means to me? I can't. The entire staff is incredible. They truly do care. My dog died in July. He was up at my parents' house in Georgia for a visit (their dog and mine were besties). He was fine when I left, but a few days later he was not at all fine. I called Dr. Hassan and even though I couldn't bring Floyd () in since he was out of state, after telling them what was going on with him, Dr. prescribed meds for him as a last-ditch effort. They filled them on site, I picked them up, and made a mad dash to get to him. It was too late by the time I got to him because I couldn't get the meds in him and he died just a few hours later (so the meds would not have helped at that point anyway), but just the fact that they gave me the opportunity to try means the world to me.

They had seen us a week prior and helped get our guy thru for 24 hours until we could get to our normal vet. 5 days later when his rapid decline came after hours we had to return. They didn't pressure us into tests or treatments. They recognized he was actively dying and we needed to help him cross peacefully. For the more mundane aspect, pricing was comparable to any other vet we've been too. They even sent us a condolence card when our normal vet did not. While I hope no one ever needs to use them, I would recommend them time and time again.

My beloved cat who was 18 years old, diagnosed December 2024 with cancer was in her end days and on Sept 1, 2025 I had to make the excruciating decision to prevent any additional suffering for her. I took her to Vets ER because my regular Vet was out of the Country & had recommended them. The owner veterinarian was wearing nose ring, many bangles. First, she did not administer the right dose to help my call fall asleep before the lethal dose and she suffered. I cried out for help, they wisked my cat to the back and locked the door. I heard my cat crying! One of the Vet's bangles got caught on the first intravenous tube in her right paw and pulled it out! They had to reinsert another tube in her left paw. I have to live with knowing that during my beloved cat's final moments she was terrified, confused and suffered. It was not the peaceful parting we who loved her had planned. This vet, by her incompetence, lack of professional maturity and lack of true caring and compassion, caused my family overwhelming grief and guilt due to her incompetent actions. I wish I knew where to go to hold them accountable for completely avoidable tragedy!!

I was especially excited to learn that they offer dog-wash stations with dryers, so I decided to give them a try. There are two wash stations, but unfortunately the floor was extremely dirty and very wet almost flooded. I understand that water can get on the floor, especially on busy days, but it really should be cleaned more frequently. I'm not sure what the cleaning rules are for the wash area, but it definitely needed attention during my visit. Despite that, I still went ahead and washed my dog, and it honestly made my life so much easier. I live in an apartment and bathing him at home takes forever, especially the drying. So this service is a huge help. I'll definitely come back and give it another try, it may have just been a busy day since I went on a Saturday. The price for the wash station is $9.99, which is very reasonable. They even provide shampoo and conditioner, although I brought my own because my dog needs a special shampoo for his coat. The cashier was also kind enough to give him a treat afterwards, which I appreciated. My dog left happy, and so did I.

Very courteous and nice of them to do so. I will most definitely be coming back again. Also of note, the more you come in, the more perks there are. I believe one of the staff mentioned that if you wash your dog like 4 or 5 times, the 5th or 6th wash is free! You definitely can't beat that
