I received the absolute best service that anyone would want from a vet at Atlas. I came in with my…read more135 pound Doberman unable to use his back legs and was placed in a room. Immediately the doctor did a quick once over before leaving to round up three techs to help with a complete exam. I have never witnessed any veterinarian doing such a thorough job in an exam before. There was not an inch of his body left out. Afterwards the doctor came up with a plan that included a series of X-rays, medication and a referral if needed. My dog left strapped to a stretcher and one week later walked comfortably into the office for his follow up. Her treatment plan was a success. The only problem is that his follow up appointment was not put into their computer correctly and so his doctor wasn't available when we showed up. Another doctor was available but I couldn't wait. Since my dog needed to have his blood drawn a super wonderful tech jumped in and took his blood before I left. I greatly appreciated her going an extra mile.

Felt like my concerns were heard and felt like this could be another place to take my dog for more serious concerns as my regular vet is a limited vet. The second visit for the same issue was ok, waited a bit longer and again Dr. Cuevas was very nice and still listened to my concerns. Gave options and again felt like I could come back if needed. I called to make another appointment as my dog was still having the same issue after trying the options and wanted to dig deeper with radiology and possibly a dental visit. I was told that I would receive a call back to schedule this visit by the end of the day. I did not receive a phone call that day, nor the next day.. It wasn't a real emergency but it was urgent as my dog has been congested on and off for weeks and having bouts of difficulty breathing bc of it. I made an appointment with another vet bc per atlas a dental visit if needed would need to be 2 visits (lab work and then schedule the dental visit atleast a week later) and I didn't want to keep waiting for that phone call.

A huge RAVE to both Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida in Oakland and West Orange…read moreVeterinary Hospital in Winter Garden for saving my dog today. A few days ago we found him almost lifeless, vomitting. This was happening before WOVH was open, and as VECOCF was about to close. I rushed him over anyway, and they took him right in and ran all kinds of tests. Long story short, they believe he ingested something toxic/poisonous along one of his walks. Once VECOCF got him somewhat stable, I transferred him to WOVH, which is his usual vet. I cannot thank Stephanie, Robert (Vet Techs) and Dr. Markwardt enough for their response. They are always caring, thorough, and best of all - they build relationships with the dog, so they know when he is/is not acting himself. I'm happy to report that Oswald is back home with us, safe and sound.

The vet, Dr. Brown barely looked at the tooth and said she needed and it several others removed and her teeth cleaned. The quote 3-4,000 dollars. Something did not sit right so I went and got a 2nd opinion. Guess what....no anesthesia cleaning needed. The vet had a dental hygienist that cleaned, checked and removed all the plaque from my pups teeth and she is good to go.....price $170. Unbelievable. The thought of being taken advantage of and possibly putting my pet under anesthesia and them pulling her teeth out makes me ill. So glad I got that 2nd opinion. My girl has white pearly teeth and running around happy as can be.

Dr. Schrank was great and took time to make our nervous corgi feel a little bit at ease. The office is brand new and very clean. There is also plenty of parking. Another reason why I chose this practice is that they have two other locations; it's nice to have options in case of an emergency.

The office is beautiful, parking is easy to find, the staff is all super nice, and the doctor was very willing to answer as many questions as I wanted. About a week or so later my pup ended up having another emergency need and they were able to get her into one of their other locations same day no problem. I will say, from that experience, I did feel like they didn't seem to 100% know what to do. My dog broke her leg and they wanted to do some crazy healing process that could take months. From having dogs my entire life, I've always known surgery as the form of fixing this issue, so I was taken aback by this suggestion of coming back every 3 days for new bandages and this lasting for possibly months. The vet hinted at seeing a specialist but didn't really suggest it, when other vets I've seen would have always said to go to the specialist right away. Perhaps it was her way of saying it, but she kept saying it in such a weird way that it felt like she wasn't even allowed to suggest it. I did end up taking her to the specialist and they did immediate surgery with a recovery period of 3-6 weeks, no bandages, etc. Before going WOAH kept trying to get me to bandage her leg and get take home meds, which I kept explaining made no sense since the specialist would take off the bandage and also probably give her meds. I'm only taking 1 star off for this because I'm not sure if it was all for money or if it was just inexperience. I will say that experience though did leave me wondering if this was the right place for us. Further, their prices are a bit higher than some of the other vets around. When I paid the first bill I immediately noticed the price difference but felt it was ok given they could take me right away and how nice the place was. However, I was trying to book my pup's spaying and the quote was outrageous. I ended up talking to a friend that worked at a local vet office, asking around, even contacting a vet back home out of state before trying to reconcile with the price. Eventually I decided to book with her original vet since he had glowing reviews and was half the cost just down the road. This included all the same things they would be including and doing, so I'm really unsure why they are up charging so much. They even were up charging the exact same microchip. So again, I'm keep the star off because I do feel they may be overpricing and taking a bit of advantage of their clients there.
