This past New Year's Eve, our dog Bailey was scheduled to have a routine tooth extraction. This vet literally killed her (and then brought her back to life, thankfully). She was overdosed on anesthesia so badly that it took three rounds of Narcan and CPR to bring her back. What kind of vet is this? They are clearly not equipped or competent to safely administer anesthesia!!!
When we finally saw Bailey after the procedure, she looked absolutely terrible. My poor baby was whimpering and crying in a way I'd never heard before -- confused, disoriented, and completely out of it. She was in and out of consciousness and suffering. She didn't even recognize us. It was heartbreaking to watch her suffer unnecessarily because of their negligence. It was literally the most traumatizing night of my life. We still don't know what lasting damage those drugs caused her body.
The absolute least they could have done was refund us for the trauma and suffering Bailey endured -- and for what our family went through. But they refused to take any responsibility. Instead of showing compassion, they forced us to pay in full before even allowing us to rush Bailey to the ER for lifesaving care.
We asked them to at least cover the $1,700 emergency vet bill, which we only incurred because of their negligence, but they refused. Rather than do the decent thing and take accountability, they spent money on attorneys to fight us in court. In the end, the court sided with them -- but that doesn't erase the fact that their incompetence nearly killed our dog. (Conveniently, they don't share that part on their website.)
So on top of the $3,500 they charged, we were left paying another $1,700 just to save Bailey's life -- all while being treated like an inconvenience because the staff was eager to close early on New Year's Eve. Their reckless and careless actions caused needless suffering, trauma, and financial devastation.
