At George Veterinary Clinic, we focus on preventive veterinary medical care for your pets. We are an AAHA Accredited small animal clinic and hospital located off Highway 17 on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mt Pleasant, SC. With over 40 years experience, we would love the opportunity to take care of your pet dog, cat, and/or bird. We recommend routine pet wellness exams, spays and neutering, microchipping your pet, vaccinations, and dental exams.
History
Established in 1979.
At George Veterinary Clinic, we have been servicing clients and their pets since 1979. Our owner, Dr George, is originally from Michigan and grew up on a large farm in a town named Coldwater. He moved to Mount Pleasant, SC in 1979 to open a small animal clinic and hospital to serve pets. We now focus our attention on dogs, cats, and birds by providing preventive medical and surgical care. We have also been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association since 1980. By maintaining AAHA Accreditation, we are able to administer appropriate care and share our knowledge of the newest veterinary information, trends, and practices with our clients.
Meet the Business Owner: Gerald G.
Dr. George grew up on a large livestock farm where he developed a keen interest in the care of animals. He received his veterinary degree from Michigan State University, and served in the U.S. Army caring for sentry dogs during the Vietnam War. Following the practice of veterinary medicine in Michigan, he arrived in Mt. Pleasant in 1979 to start an American Animal Hospital Association accredited small animal clinic. He emphasizes preventive health, dentistry, and is skilled in ultrasonography and routine surgeries with the use of a laser machine.
