    My pet wasn't sick!

Beware of this place if you love your pets!!! They have this waiver that says if your pet dies during surgery they can't be held liable "because your pet is sick".. that's not true for an orthopedic surgery!! Terrible experience!! I wish I can leave zero stars.

I am very happy with the kindness of the two gentlemen working tonight. My cat apparently developed cataracts which is rare in kitties, so I had never seen it before. They developed very quickly, it was scary. Last night when he wouldn't eat, I thought he might be in pain and that I couldn't wait for Monday. Being a Saturday night I knew I couldn't afford a 24 hr. clinic in the U.S. For $32 my cat got a comprehensive exam. They were clear about the cost of labs, ($100-150, very reasonable), but since my cat is not in any pain and cataracts are irreversible, they said it was optional, which I appreciated. They scheduled a follow up for a week from now. I am happy with my service and the facilities, and the price.

They took good care of them, the prices are REASONABLE as compared to other vet hospitals in TJ i've been to like Saji which is overpriced.

My girlfriend translated for me, and I was told that when I brought him back to have the pins removed, I would only need to pay for anesthesia and medication. Since I had already prepaid in full, they even noted this on the discharge paperwork. Unfortunately, I threw the paperwork away before the appointment. When I returned, I was charged about $200 and told there were no notes indicating the pin removal was covered. A different doctor performed the procedure, which may have contributed to the charge. I expected to pay for anesthesia and medication, but not the additional fee. I paid it, and lesson learned: keep your paperwork. Aside from this issue, the staff were caring, professional, and provided excellent care for my cat. It seemed like a communication issue, but overall I had a positive experience. This will not prevent me from returning in the future.- but I will keep your paperwork!

It often felt like the nicer the place looked, the less they actually cared about the pets. Because of that, I gave up and kept paying the ridiculous vet prices in San Diego... until I simply couldn't take it anymore. Thank God I found Club de Nana on Yelp. After reading all the great reviews (and yes, they're REAL), I decided to give them a chance, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was different. The entire staff truly cares about every pet that comes in. They don't see animals as $$$ signs, they listen, they explain, and they care about your fur babies. My first green flag was seeing multiple pets being cared for behind the front desk, literally hanging out freely instead of being locked in cages, I absolutely LOVED THAT!! There are no appointments, you just wait your turn. I've been there four times, and only once did I wait for my turn about 15-20 minutes. Every other visit was less than 5 minutes. The clinic looks like a house from the outside, so parking is limited, but even then I only had to wait about 10 minutes once. I took my 7-year-old pittie because he was bleeding while peeing. They ran different tests, diagnosed him with an enlarged prostate, and recommended surgery (neutering). It's now been 11 days since he got surgery at El Club de Nana, his stitches are out, the bleeding is completely gone, and he's happier and has so much more energy. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the doctors Lulu and Francisco, and the staff at Club de Nana. I have my healthy, happy boy back, and I couldn't be more grateful .

I do understand Doctor's need to review a dog's health history, for which I was prepared with everything in hand, dog vaccination card, treatment plans, microchip information etc. Without any kindness or acknowledgment of what I just mentioned she said she needed and official ID to register me in their system. I hesitated as I had never been asked for MY ID for such a service when paying cash. I offered to pay the consultation in advance and also, whatever the estimate PRIOR receiving any treatment. She got flustered, walking back and forth stating I was refusing to comply and that I didn't want to be in their system...keep in mind that now a days you don't want people to have your DOB/Address etc and everything can be hacked, so I was trying to comply and asking if they could just not post certain information, still, seemed as she was the owner, spoke to another NON VET coworker, laughed and said they refused service. Cero empathy or trying to understand I had a dog in pain... I left without saying anything and called to speak directly with a supervisor, which was another extremely young male doctor. At the end, he was kinder but his explanation made no sense. I was not going to use any hospital/spay/ hotel pet service in order for them to have my ID information to secure payment if indeed I was to pay in advance. Also, I had all my dog's information under my name so they could verify I was the owner. Please do your research. No one came out to see why she was raising her voice at a customer. They might ask for an official ID to gage if you live in the USA as they don't have any basic prices for you to see upfront, such as the consultation fee/ vaccination fees etc. I will say the plaza has sufficient parking and lots of security. You do have to pay around $30 pesos for 2 hours and it gets pricier after that. I do recommend Dr. Correia, near "Alba Roja area" and "Instituto Mexico" for those who know TJ. Parking is difficult but doable, he has a your female Vet that read through everything and confirmed my dog had hip issues, lacked muscle tone, wasn't eating, was 14 years for a large breed dog and indeed was her time to let her go and rest in peace. Vets do need to run tests, I agree and understand but feel comfortable to ask for a ball park figure for the services, consultation and medication to gage if you can afford it. For all of this, including cremation (around 45 pounds) and a wooden urn with a tag it was around $5 000 pesos. I understand people make mistakes, kindness is a choice, so choose wisely who takes care of your pet, ask questions and if something doesn't feel right, look for another opinion. Sometimes smaller clinics have seasoned doctors that can be more helpful.

I was so happy when I arrived, the staff was extremely accommodating and wonderful. The clinic is very clean and has parking out front. Only about 10 mins from the border. I paid $160USD for the initial visit which covered the check-up, x-rays, and medications. Extremely affordable and fair pricing. My dog already had stitches on her cheek from another incident and the doctor offered to take them out at a later date. I went back a week after and they didn't charge me anything. She got her stitches at another vet in Poway (we paid $1100 for that visit, NEVER AGAIN). I can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be bringing my puppies here for any veterinarian needs.

When we arrived, the clinic director, Victor suddenly changed the price to 4,500 pesos, claiming the "regular" price was 5,000 and we were already getting a deal. Even after showing the phone calls dates and times as proof, he refused to honor it. Then, when I confirmed gas anesthesia was included, he added another 250 pesos despite us being told twice beforehand that it was already part of the package and said it would be $300 cash. So clearly pesos would be cheaper so at the payment time, we offered to pay the agreed total in pesos, 4750= $271 but he suddenly insisted we owed $300 USD and showed us we signed the agreement to pay $300. The pricing kept changing throughout the visit, which felt extremely dishonest and unprofessional. They also only accepted cash or Zelle, which added to the concern. Overall, the experience felt misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of. We won't be coming back here.
