Then I was given two bids. $650 to remove old faucet and replace with new faucet. Or $1040 to cut into a wall to install shut off valves. I reluctantly accepted $650. I even supplied the faucet, plumbers tape, trim, caulk, etc. The rusty faucet came off in 5 minutes. The new one went on 10 minutes later. That's when things got weird. Plumber started doing things like checking the PH level in our water along with checking for iron and other nonsense. My husband finally said so are we done? That's when the plumber sent us out to buy another part for the shower handle!! When we got there, Home Depot even said, "what are you doing here? The plumber should be doing this!". Felt like fools. Brought the part back to see the plumber eating lunch in his truck. A half hour later, the "owner" of the company called and said that if his man installed that part, the new price would be over $1200! We were dumbfounded! My husband sent him away but not before we had to pay $650 for a leaky faucet that still leaked. I started crying. I couldn't believe what was happening. Sorry to say, it gets worse. After the plumber left after robbing us for $650, my husband went in the basement to turn the water back on and the valve started leaking water! I called Criterion! Sorry! It's after hours! Another $310 to get another plumber out after hours and the City of Idaho Falls to shut off the water. God Bless Hole Shot Plumbing and Ray! And a big thank you to the city of Idaho Falls for being Johnny on the Spot! This company needs to be ran out of town!

They were 25% higher than the…read moreother bid we had, but we went with them because we had heard positive things about them, and they had been partnering with our general contractor. The two technicians which did the job, Cashe and Myles were very good. Unfortunately, there was some work that fell outside the original bid, and because of very poor communication, it became very unclear what was being billed. One of the technicians was not even made aware that most of the job fell within a single bid. We were therefore double billed on some items. Also, we visited the First Street office and were quoted prices on two items. We were later told that actual prices were about 40% higher than what we were quoted. In short, the technicians were very good, but communication and billing practices very poor. Until that is remedied, I would not recommend First Street Plumbing. Terry D

Called First Street Plumbing on Friday and was scheduled for an appointment on Monday which was fine. Jaden was the plumber that arrived on time, told me the options for repair, which was what I expected. Jaden did an excellent job, clean, neat and very professional. Price was about what I expected. I would not hesitate to contact this company again for any plumbing, heating or HVAC repair. Great to have such a professional company in the community.

Summary: Watch out for the pricing - scary high…read more We are doing a renovation of a townhome in Rexburg. We needed three toilets removed, a water heater drained and moved to the garage, and three sinks disconnected (unscrew the water source, and disconnect the drain). A week later, these would all need to be reinstalled. I called All About Home Repair and they said that they couldn't give me an estimate over the phone, but they could send someone out the next day to give me a quote. If we didn't end up using them, we would pay a $39 callout fee. If we did use them, it would get credited towards the overall project cost, which seemed reasonable to me. Keaton came out and gave me a quote stating, "It will be over $2,000." I balked at the cost and said that it seemed EXTREMELY high as I have pulled a toilet before and it takes less than a half hour (and that included the time watching the YouTube video of how to do it). He asked me how much I was expecting and I told him I didn't think all of that would be over $800 on the high side. He said they couldn't do that and I said I couldn't do their price. He charged me the $39 callout fee and went on his way. I called the office Manager, Stephanie, and she was very nice to work with and talk to. With that said, I explained the situation and she said she would like to talk to Keaton and then get back with me, which she did just 15 minutes later. She told me that he had not offered me some of the packages that he could have offered (since all three toilets were at the same location), but that he never felt like he had the chance to do so. She went through the pricing with me and it still came out to about $1,200. In the mean time, I was able to secure another plumber to do the work for $600. So while I appreciated the work to get the bid down, it was still significantly higher than what the market is dictating. Stephanie was also kind enough to cancel the callout fee of $39 without me asking (which is why I bumped the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star). In conclusion, Stephanie and Keaton were both nice, but the pricing of the company is the highest I have encountered.

In after-COVID world a lot of us had to make some adjustments and count our resources and redistribute them in a more efficient manner. I figured that actually having them was not saving me anything. My wife likes cold water and I enjoyed being able to make a cup of tea right away, but other than that... We have fridges and tea pots and we live in a modest area with very long winters. So...one way or the other we are used to waiting much longer than one may consider reasonable. The straw that broke the camel's back was their leaky 5 gallon jugs. Like in 5 years there were few obviously leaking and they were replaced/refunded almost immediately, but then couple times there would be a plastic jug seating and leaking very slightly so it was not noticeable to the eye right away, but then all my floors will be wet and I would have to bring in huge fans to dry my household and to make sure there is no mold. So it was good while it lasted, but not the cheapest way to get water in the area. Few misses on delivery dates, but most annoying was storing water as I was never sure if there won't be a small leak and in winter it gets too cold to store those jugs outside.
