My Wife and I have been going to Dr. Carbone for 17 years…read more We have always found her to be EXCELLENT in every way. She is very professional, friendly, and very focused with regard to the needs of her patients. Her assistant is helpful, very accommodating, and great with any needed follow-up. The location of the doctor's Office is easy to find, with plenty of Parking available. Dr. Carbone will always have our highest possible recommendation. - John & Jane

I really liked Wendy Carbone, I had gone to her as a teenager and then went elsewhere for many…read moreyears till i realized she was still in business, This past visit I went to her after getting a very bad eye infection and letting it heal on its own.. once I knew the eye infection was gone then I went to her for a contact and eye glass exam, mainly to get contacts. In the exam she said my eyes had no infection at all but that my right eyes cornia was a tad dry. Anyway I completed the exam and left in contacts to wake up monday morning with a full fledged eye infection. In the meanwhile I filled my eye glass presciption and a place that Ive been going too for a long time because I initially intended to get contacts. Meanwhile I went back to her office (she billed my medical $55 for a visit for her to look at my eye and she prescribed me an antibiotic and told me to come back the next day.. I then asked the receptionist if I would be charged another co-pay for a follow up to see how the antibiotics are working and she said yes I pay for every office visit.. (I was very upset that I would be charged another 55$ to just have her look at my eyes to see if the antibiotics were working (this is a follow-up) just like when I come back from wearing my contacts a week later to see how they feel. So I left the office to fill the prescription, with my insurance $105.00 for a antibiotic for my eye (are you kidding me?) I tried using other discount prescription cards.. they didnt work and didnt have any type of generic.. so I called Dr Carbones office to see if she could prescribe me a less expensive antibiotic, and her answer was, I can but I cant promise you, you wont lose your eyesite .. (are you kidding me? im being scared into buying an extremely expensive antibiotic when I know their are many other types of antibiotics that will do the same job as this one .. maybe it will take longer but it wont be as expensive .. So I purchased the antibiotic because I was scared now that I could lose my eyesite because of what she said.. I woke up and next morning my eye was 90% feeling better and I called her and told her that I will use the antibiotic, I will wait a few months to redo the contacts and that I will not being coming into her office any longer. I felt taken advantage of for the amount of money it cost for the antibiotic and the fact I was going to be charged again for a follow-up visit, she contacted me to see an Optomologist and suggested I see another doctor which is fine but I beleive I had a reaction to the contacts because I didnt allow myself enough time to heal from the first infection. Anyway I picked up my new glasses a day later.. My right eye is completely fuzzy and she did not give me the correct prescription and I just spent 200$ on new glasses at another location. So now because of what happened I am out of my insurance benefits for my eyeglasses and I now I have to get another exam elsewhere and pay for that and now pay to have my glasses redone because my right eye is fuzzy .. Very unfair. I really liked her but I feel that I was totally screwed btwn the antibiotic cost and scaring me into buying them and then wanting to charge me another 55$ .. its all about the money it seems and Im not made of money.
