I truly cannot say enough good things about this office. After doing some research and suspecting I might have an eye ulcer, I called and was scheduled with extreme urgency and care. Dr. Richard A Berman confirmed the ulcer right away and immediately put a treatment plan in place. Because of how quickly and thoroughly they handled everything, I was able to get all of my medications and everything I needed before leaving town the next day which gave me so much peace of mind. I've been coming here for years, and there's a reason why. Every single person in the office is kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. You never feel rushed, and you always feel cared for. I had a very disappointing experience at Four Eyes in Coral Springs. I came in with a $300 insurance credit and was told that I could not take advantage of any sale prices. Even after choosing a closeout frame--which was not a sale item--I was told they still would not honor the reduced price. In the end, despite having a $300 credit, I would have ended up giving them an additional $250 in profit and only receiving a $50 benefit from my insurance. The pricing practices felt completely unreasonable and not customer-friendly. I left extremely frustrated and will not be returning. read more

I did not see the technician clean the three testing apparatus with alcohol where my mother put her chin on. She also was not wearing gloves. My Mother got Covid four days later and was not anywhere else that day. The eye doctor was lovely and hygienic and very kind to my mother. She was honest about my mother's eyesight situation and her eyeglass needs. read more

BEWARE...Had a problem with the frames I purchased last year. The lenses kept falling out. Also, the metal frame became pitted and the finish was flaking off. Met with the manager who told me that any problem not reported within 30 days of purchase date was NOT the responsibility of 4 Eyes or the manufacturer. I was told that I would need to buy new frames and lenses. 4 Eyes took no responsibility for selling the defective frames. This optician cannot be relied upon to back their product or service. They failed to inspect the eye glasses when they were received. One lens had a small scratch in the dead center of the lens. I discovered it after a careful cleaning a few days later. This means 2 more trips to the store, a total of 40 miles. If they had checked the order carefully and examined the glasses they would have seen this. Sloppy procedures. read more

I have been buying my glasses at For Eyes for at least fifteen years. I usually go to the Boca store because it is close to my office. When I found out they opened a store right in my own neighborhood I was excited to go check it out. The store is beautiful. It's large, clean & ultra modern. I was really surprised at how nice the store looks. I am so used to the Boca location which is an older & smaller store. What a difference between the two locations. When I first walked into this store, I just said WOW. For years now For Eyes offers a 2 for $99 special. That always worked for me in the past but this time I needed to change from single vision to progressives. The prices are still excellent & I was able to get my glasses & a pair of prescription sunglasses & still stay within my budget. I was happy about that because glasses can be so expensive. I had some concerns about learning to use progressives. Bonnie & Shurnett were both extremely helpful & gave me lots of good tips. They also brought me back to this century by finding glasses that were more "2014" than the ones I came in wearing. I have received so many compliments on my new style & I have Bonnie & Shurnett to thank. These ladies are awesome. :) I have had no problems with my new glasses & I love them. I stopped in the store over the weekend just to have my sunglasses adjusted & both Shurnett & Bonnie remembered me. The personalized customer service I received was so refreshing. I love this store, the location, the prices & the staff. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because they are closed on Sundays. This is a great place to find new glasses at an affordable price. I highly recommend this store. Ask for Bonnie or Shurnett, they are wonderful. read more

5 Stars for continued excellence! I think my previous YELP review was two years ago - and that makes this review even more special. I have been continually impressed with Bonnie and the others at the Coral Springs store. She always finds the time to compare in-house specials with my insurance - always makes me feel welcome and always makes my yearly "pick-out new glasses" experience enjoyable. Today - however - Bonnie raised the bar on customer service. On Monday, I went to put on my prescription sunglasses - over a year old - and the hinge on the side snapped. Yes, it's only a pair of sunglasses - but they are mirrored and provide my eyes with additional protection from glare. In short, I love them. I went back to the store today - fully prepared to pay whatever - and if I couldn't afford it - to wait until next year to use my insurance. Bonnie took one look at the broken glasses, looked up my records, obviously heard my "retired-living-on-a-fixed-income" heart thudding in my chest - saw that I had paid the $25.00 insurance fee and simply said, "This is not a problem - and if I have the frame here - we can change this out for you in 10 minutes. Your charge will be $25.00." YES!!!! Got my new frames - am forever grateful to Bonnie to telling me about the insurance for frames and glasses - am forever grateful that the Coral Springs For Eyes is here. Time for new glasses for my 12 year old son and myself so I turned to Yelp. When your Yelp friends recommend For Eyes you know you are in good hands. Thanks Britt Z. This review is for glasses purchase only. We already had our prescription in hand. For Eyes is a beautiful modern store. We were fortunate to work with Ms. Shurnett. Such an attentive sales lady. She spent a lot of time helping me pick a flattering frame. I really appreciate the help because I'm a bit of a fashion spaz. Shurnett had no trouble looking up our insurance info and working with our plan. We have Eye Med. Seems progressive glasses are always expensive. Shurnett helped me decide what 'extras' I needed, anti reflective, etc. She was meticulous in helping measure the fit of the glasses and the placement of the progressive lense. The store had a 'buy one get one' special going happening. Nice to have the extra pair, just in case. Eh, still ended up spending $340.00 between my son and myself for non-designer glasses (with insurance). Is this too much? Hmmm, not sure. Hubby buys his glasses online and swears by this but I'm too difficult to fit because my head is narrow and weasel like. A very positive experience with this store. Will return. My only suggestion is do a bit or research prior to buying glasses to see what the 'extras' are all about. read more

I chose this establishment based on the yelp reviews and was not disappointed. Wonderful experience. I was able to get same day appointment on a Saturday. Dr. Berman was professional, patience and informative. His staff was also very professional and patience dealing with insurance company and all questions asked. The staff at For Eyes were exceptional. Jennifer, sales representative who assisted in choosing the proper frames for my prescription and ones that were most flattering for my features, was delightful. They worked with me to to ensure I received the best deal. Selection of frames is varied in price which is great. There are frames in every price range and all very nice. After I had a misdiagnosis from an eye doctor I had been using for years, I found that I was in need of a new doctor. I tried a local doctor who took my insurance for both myself and my son. He was good doctor but had a staff that totally dropped the ball when it came to doing the proper testing correctly or at all. To make a long story short, going to this office was a waste of time and money. I was again in need of a local doctor for examinations for myself as well as my family. Afer an extensive search of practices and optical stores, I was lucky enough to find Dr Berman. I have a eye condition that many doctors do not specialize in. Due to this factor, many practices feel they have the right to overcharge me for treatment. When I was calling local doctors and optical stores, the pricing for my exam as well as the lenses I typically wear was insanely overpriced. I also found this to be true for a regular exam as well. It was getting quite frustrating to find a place where the prices were reasonable and not overpriced, the doctor was credentialed and the service was great. On my way home from work, I stopped in at For Eyes to see if they could accommodate us. After a long conversation with the woman at the front desk, appointments were made. I finally found the place I was looking for! Dr Berman is very knowledgeable, caring and friendly. He went out of his way to help me. He explained everything to me. He worked on getting the best lenses for both my son and I. My experience was so positive that I can't say enough nice things about him. the staff is accommodating and helpful. The store is bright and clean. The location is great. Our wait time was minimal. The prices are reasonable. The best part? He got me into soft lenses after wearing hard lenses for many years. I can now read and see distance, something I couldn't do at the same time while wearing hard lenses. It's amazing not to have to pull out my readers to read close up then take them off to do everything else. I never thought this was possible again! We couldn't be happier Thank you! I originally had a horrible experience at My Eye Lab. Now I'm happy that because of the screw up I went to For Eyes. I was able to get a pair of bifocals and sunglasses with all the bells and whistles. They even worked with my insurance making the grand total 1/4 of what I almost paid for one pair at My Eye Lab. As promised, I am following up after my visit to the Eye Doctor referral by Dr. Berman. It turns out Dr. Berman's suspicions were correct. The abnormality he noticed is narrow-angle glaucoma and I need to have laser treatment on my eyes to prevent this from happening this coming week. I am high risk of an attack, and I can go blind without any symptoms. Please remember, I was seen by two other Optometrists within two weeks apart, before coming to Dr. Berman. Dr. Berman is "right on track," and he has my vote for the very best Optometrist in South Florida! Thank you so much, Dr. Berman, for saving my very precious eyesight! YOU ARE THE BEST! On another note, I received my new glasses yesterday, with the new prescription from Dr. Berman last week, and it was exactly what I needed, he got it right the very first time! Very unprofessional. My appointment was at 10am. When I arrived the store was still closed. Opened after 10am. When I arrived, 2 other people walked in for their appointments as well. The two other people were assisted as I just waited. By 10:25 I asked when I would be seen they said that because I booked online my appointment wasn't really guaranteed and that they tried to call me to tell me. My email from their booking system says CONFIRMED. I understand that they were unable to reach me via phone... But why didn't they inform me when I came in for my 10am appointment? I would have been understanding if the time needed to be pushed back. Instead, they were just going to have me wait without informing me that my appointment was not actually at 10. The other woman that worked there was having a negative personal conversation on the phone where everyone could hear her. She was saying on the phone that nothing is free and that BOGO isn't real. Mind you, the signs in the store say 'BOGO'. I left because the atmosphere was just terrible. read more

I had to come on Yelp and write a review about this place. Everyone was phenominal with their customer service. The doctor was wonderful. Peter fitted me for frames. He chose some beautiful frames for me to choose from. You can trust him to choose some wonderful frames with the correct shape to fit your face. He happened to choose some reasonably-priced frames for me. I knew he was the professional and the most knowledgeable, so I trusted him completely. I simply asked him to make sure he didn't choose frames that maked me look old. Glasses came back in less than two weeks. You will love them. read more

Based on the great reviews of Dr. Berman I decided to try out For Eyes Optical and was very pleased with my visit. Dr. Berman promptly attended me, walked me through each stage of the eye exam and contact lens fitting, and ran through my options for contact lenses. The customer service is the the best I've experienced. (I've been wearing contact lenses for almost 13 years so have visited several places throughout the years.) The store looks spacious, clean, sleek, with nice lighting. The people that work there are all very warm, welcoming, and helpful. I didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes at any point in both of my recent visits. They are efficient with time. The eye exam for my contact lens prescription was $99, and I mentioned to the doctor that I think that I just have medical insurance, not vision insurance. He thought it was a good idea to check for me anyway... and apparently I do have vision coverage! YES! I only had to pay $40 out of pocket. Very much appreciated that he went the extra length to check for me even though I didn't think I had any insurance. Dr. Berman was very helpful and accommodating with my concerns about my prescription too! Also, before visiting For Eyes Optical I went to a different eye company... where the other place gave me the wrong contact lens prescription (too sharp by -1.5). Dr. Berman's prescription for me is correct, and my eyes are not irritated quickly anymore from staring at computer screens. Haha. * PS - David helped me out when I was buying contact lenses, and his customer service was also excellent! *PSS - My dad referred to me this place because he popped in the store a year ago asking for his glasses to be fixed and their customer service was top notch so it stuck out in his memory when I was looking for a new eye place to go to. read more

Right from the start, the girl at the front desk was friendly and very accommodating. Dr. Berman was also very friendly, informative (explained everything clearly) and definitely beyond helpful in finding the best fit for my contacts! The associate that helped me with my glasses was again very friendly and helpful. He did not try to push me into special lenses or insurance as a lot of places have.
