Such a great park with a paved walking path and bigger playground area. There were ponds for people to catch and release fish. There was a story for little kid to read throughout the walking path at the pond. Overall great way to spent a Saturday evening here with the kids and our dog. There were at least three parking lots and were not busy at all. There were quite a few gnats though in the evening time near the pond area. read more

I really enjoy the park itself and feel like it has a lot for the kids to do and it's very large. There's a large walking trail, a pond, and so many kids activities. The dog park portion, however, is hit or miss if it's open or closed, which is frustrating, especially if you don't live close by and have to drive all the way over just to see the sign that says closed. For example super not super hot. Just a nice day and of course it's closed which is really aggravating. I would try to go to. It's typically for your dogs instead of making the trek over. read more

I love this neighborhood park. Even on busy day is it doesn't feel crowded. There's parking spread out throughout the park. They have a nice paved walking trail for people of various physical abilities. There is a large playground for kids to climb on and it's a popular spot. There are several picnic pavilions that you can rent for a private party, or to simply enjoy eating outdoors. There is a nice dog park, and there is a hotline to check if it's open because of muddy conditions. read more

Such a great place to take a walk. The longer end of the trail edge is about 1.5 miles. The trail is nicely paved and smooth. Lots of things to look at as you take a stroll, turtles sunning, a troll village by a small creek, dogs playing in the dog park, people fishing, war memorial circle. There is an impeccable and vey nice playground if you have littles. I have seen an ice cream truck on the weekends. It does get packed on nice days, so plan accordingly. There are 3 parking lots the back lot is a bit tight so if you have a bigger car would recommend the other two. read more

This park is kinda out of the way for us but the drive is always well-worth it. We've been coming here for several times. There is a fantastic playground for the kiddos with a variety of things to play with. We spent at least 2 hours here since my little one loved it so much. There is also a paved walking/jogging trail and an off leash dog park. The park is very clean.Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend. read more

I just moved to the area and needed a park for my daily walks with my dog, Java. I'm so very happy I tried this park first! The park is absolutely gorgeous and very well-maintained. The pond has all sorts of animals and fish, and I really enjoy watching the ducks and the turtles sunbathing. I feel very safe at this park. Everyone walking around the park has been super friendly, and there aren't sketchy areas whatsoever. The walking paths are even and well-maintained. For someone with hip and spine injuries, that's great because I'm not tripping on ledges or slipping on gravel. My dog Java looks forward to our walk every single day. He really likes the grass and the paths. He has an issue with texture because he's weird, but he really enjoys the park. He really likes the pond; sometimes he REALLY likes the pond and wants to go in! I really like the tribute walkway to veterans. As a vet myself, it makes me grateful for such a nice park dedicated to veterans and service members. The playground is also maintained well and seems like a pretty popular place with kids. We haven't been to the actual dog park yet, but the fences are perfect for keeping the dogs in. I'm working on reactivity with my dog, and he's doing well, so hopefully, we can enjoy the off leash area soon. read more

This is a really nice park! Someone there said that it was new, or it was close down and they were re-doing it. The kid area is amazing! It's so friendly for all humans regardless of their gait ability. They have a splash area which is really nice as well as areas that remain dry. There's also a really nice walkway that goes around the pond where you can either fish watch fisherman we're just walk around and look at the scenery. I will say be careful of the geese because they like to follow you. read more

While visiting family last weekend we took our dogs and our niece's two dogs to the dog park at Veteran's Tribute Park. The park is lovely and I'd love to explore and spend more time here enjoying the amenities. There is something here for everyone with 2 beautiful lakes stocked for catch-and-release fishing for those who enjoy fishing. If you're looking for a place to walk or bike check out the 1.6 mile walking and biking trail wrapping around and through the park. Six acres of open-play fields are perfect for pickup games, volleyball or other activities. A marvelous playground for children of all abilities is onsite and the playground is divided into zones: interactive and motion-activated water play; music play; adventure play with climbing features; inclusive swings; and a hillside slide. This was the first time our dogs have been to a dog park with a fenced in play area. The 3-acre off-leash park is divided into small and large dog areas. I went ahead an brought both of our dogs on the large dog side so I could stay with both of them. They loved visiting with all the different dogs and running and playing. A few of the younger dogs were a little bouncy for my 13 year old whippet but we managed. He was exhausted after 45 minutes but the 5 year old hound could have stayed all day. The dog owners were super friendly and we enjoyed talking to several folks. There are 3 shelters on the grounds that accommodate at least 100 people for reunions, picnics or special events. Overlooking the park's two lakes, the garden features a Veterans Memorial Plaza with the names of St. Charles County soldiers who died in service since World War I engraved on stone panels. A Tribute Walk leading up to the memorial showcases interpretive panels covering conflicts from the time St. Charles County was organized in 1812 to present day, along with plantings that bloom or have vibrant color at the end of each war. The park is gorgeous, so much to do for all ages and all levels of activity. If you get a chance visit this lovely park. read more

Love to fish here. It's not overly crowded around the lake which is nice and there seems to be bass, blue gill, catfish.

This has become my favorite park for walking since the Covid Pandemic began. It is a gorgeous park with beautiful flowers in the spring and fall and lots of wild life. Great park for kids including a water play area for summer. There is also a nice dog park. Plenty of trails, places for picnics or relaxing, ponds for fishing and nice restrooms. read more
