A sidewalk continues the walk along the marsh. The boardwalk is best found by locating the Air Evac headquarters across the street. It's a wonderful natural teaching area and birdwatching location--especially for ducks and geese. Though not a long boardwalk it's probably a suitable distance for a busy toddler. The walkway above the marsh is in very good shape and safe for children. Though a larger child might climb over the railings it would be virtually impossible for a small child to work through them. There's plenty to see and point out in the marsh, which has a different character throughout the seasons. A gazebo at the western entrance offers a rest spot. Ramps at either end allow wheelchair accessibility. The marsh is maintained by the MO Department of Conservation while the subdivision maintains the boardwalk.
