The place was clean, organized, and the whole VR setup was crazy in the best way. Once that headset went on, baby I was GONE -- yelling, ducking, hollering, looking wild . Me and my people had the BEST time. We were in there acting a fool and Jim was hyping us up and checking on us, making sure everything worked perfect. It's definitely one of those spots that's perfect for content creators, date nights, girls' day, birthdays -- all that. They even have angles where you can get good content, which is a win for me every time. Customer service was top-tier, the experience was fun from start to finish, and it's something different to do in Atlanta without breaking the bank. And mind you, this is only my personal opinion. The concept of 29Rooms is for you to be open minded and to be positive and etc. While the message is good, I didn't think it was executed well. First thing was the ticketing. I bought my tickets early so that I can attend a "fresh" museum away from germs. Whatever the reason, they lowered the pricing and without notice I had received a certain amount refunded. I went on the website and found that they had lowered the price and I didn't get the full difference between the current pricing from when I first purchased it. I wrote back and they state that they're only committed to the refund what they had provided. Is this legal? and why am I penalized for purchasing my tickets early?! So already I've lost some $ for above reason, but on top of it, I had to cough up more $ for transportation... The day before the opening night, 29Rooms sent an email, exactly stating that "No parking is available onsite" and that uber/lyft is advised. But when we arrive in our uber, there were plenty of parking spots, at least for earlybirds like us! Thank goodness we parked in the Kroger parking lot and ubered from there, otherwise if we ubered from our house we would have spent another $80! I'm totally flabbergasted. Maybe if you plan on drinking, this may work out, but to blatantly lie about parking, this is totally wrong. Funny that the sign at the entrance states to leave negative attitude and bad vibes... While I had these thing in the back of my head, I was totally open minded. We were one of the first ones in and it wasn't what I had in mind; It wasn't 29 rooms full of photo ops. It was random art installations, sponsored rooms/activities that were part of advertisements, and area to sell snacks and drinks. I think out of all rooms, I truly only liked the last room next to the exit, pink zen room, and the activity where you draw your partner without looking at the paper. Simple activity, but gives you chuckles after looking at how hideous the pictures come out, arguing who drew it better. What made it worse however was that we were one of the first ones in, and yet none of the staff was engaging or telling us what the room were about. Like we made a full circle before staff were engaging and by that time, people were lined up and we didn't get an advantage of getting in first. Other rooms include a 90s room, neon paint room where you can paint on the blocks, strawberry tattoo station, dance room to hang out, activity room where you ask and answer random questions with strangers, room on solving a financial crisis, encouragement room where you put sticky notes on the wall, blind date room where I think you interact with strangers and their hands, and an art room to draw, work on craft, or play with playdough. So back to the message, don't exactly know how it ties down as I only saw one room that was really about positivity. While we worried that we would have to wait in long lines for the uber back, we were one of the first ones that had left and no issues what so ever. Wasn't worth it for me.

I tell myself before I leave home that I'm simply going to do the drinks and movie portion of the evening (which suits my dressier attire) but every time I arrive, they have a show that I can't refuse (Martini's and Imax are located at The Fern bank). The best yet for me was the viewing of Australia. Martinis at the Imax is a nice way to end a stressful day. The drinks are always really good I enjoy the live music that is played. Drinks will set you back about $9 for a cocktail/martini and a bit less for beer/wine and the food (mostly tapas style) is about $6-$14 per dish, but for a Friday night out, it is not bad. My date and I didn't really know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised to walk into the grand atrium to find a mass of couples dancing to the smooth jazz. I am not much of a dancer, but how fun to watch, and the band (a New Orleans based Jazz band, I think) were wonderful. You can look online ahead of time to see what band/DJ will be performing the night you are interested in. Their cocktails, albeit not big, were strong and well made. We ordered a "New Old Fashioned" (doc holliday rye whiskey, hum botanical liqueur, simple syrup, orange bitters, orange twist, cherry) and one of their seasonal cocktails (I can't remember the name) that was made with lime and ginger beer. Both were delicious and gone before our movie even started. We elected to see the "Galapagos" IMAX film and we both "oooh"-ed and "ahhhh"-ed the whole time through and gushed about "marine iguanas" and "blue-footed boobies" (yes, child-man date did laugh hysterically every time this one was discussed) to our uninterested friends the rest of the weekend. However, I think that any of the IMAX options would've been just as captivating. I know it sounds pretty awful, but I LOVED feeling a little smarter after a night out. I would definitely recommend this over any paint studio I've been to over the years. It jumped into a computer mode and he couldn't get out of it. Which man he spent most of his time trying to get out of computer mode instead of exploring and enjoy enjoying the program. so overall I feel like I could've spent my money elsewhere and be more entertained.

Inside the planetarium, the domed projection screen displayed the night sky in stunning 10K resolution, featuring a live view of the moon and surrounding stars. As you recline in your seat and look up at the beautiful visuals overhead, classical musicians perform a creative mix of timeless pieces along with arrangements from Star Wars and other contemporary music. The combination of the music and the immersive visuals made the whole experience feel magical. I had a fantastic time and would absolutely return for another show. Our tickets were just under $50/person before fees and we had a good-ish view of the stage. I say good-ish because we were in the second row of the upper level and there was a bar/rail that ran right through our line of vision. The rail was also the seating section for wheel-chair assisted and other mobility-challenged individuals, so in addition to the bar being right in my line of vision there were also people being seated there and assisted up and down throughout the show. This was distracting, and I had to instruct the little ones stand up so they could see what was happening on stage...which, dear Yelper, was absolutely AMAZING dancing and singing. Overall, the show was too long and too late for my little ones. With a 7:30pm start, my 4yo didn't make it through the show awake and my 6yo melted down about not being able to grad a snack and drink (even though she was well-fed directly before the show). I'd absolutely come to see a performance at the Ferst Center again. I'd I ended up having to get tickets in the second tier, I'd prefer seats further up than what I chose this time. The restrooms are older but clean enough and well-stocked. I appreciated that this particular show also brought in vendors who lined the lobby so a post-show shopping experience and they had a step-and-repeat backdrop in the lobby where patrons could take their own keepsake picture.
