They removed the light fixtures in the two other rooms, but somehow failed to remove the light fixture in the third. We thought that by the fixture still being up, that they had ensured there was no popcorn ceiling underneath it. We were wrong. A few days later, the ceiling refinisher discovered it when it was time to reskim the ceilings and he removed the fixture. The drywaller unfortunately dry scraped it off before I could stop him. I am extremely unhappy as we hired Jackson Abatement to handle the removal professionally so there was no risk to my family or young son of asbestos exposure. In hindsight, they failed and my family and son was still exposed to the asbestos that we were trying so hard to avoid. Rich did try to make it right eventually, but only with me pushing for resolution. A day or two after discovery, he provided a negative air machine and removed any remaining popcorn ceiling that was in the junction box. He also paid for air clearance testing which passed after three days of running the negative air machine. Both of these were because I requested/ pushed for it, they were not readily offered. Bothers me knowing that I paid multiple grand to have the asbestos in my home professionally removed so that there was no risk to my family. Due to their negligence, we were still exposed. Nothing I can do now, and I know nothing will likely come of it health wise, but I hate knowing my 7 month old son was exposed because of a failure on this company. Hoping they learned and do better for other families and customers.

The company ultimately chose not to complete the remediation, removed their equipment, and then billed for more days than the equipment was actually on site. When I attempted to ask questions and clarify the discrepancies, the interactions were not handled professionally. The verbal communication I experienced felt confrontational and dismissive rather than solution-oriented, which made an already difficult situation much worse. Everything was handled so unprofessionally. Because I needed to move forward with repairs and focus on my family, I paid the invoice to prevent further escalation while still disputing the charges.
