If I could give NO stars I would. I came in with my 11 year old son to have 2 pairs of jeans altered. We walked in, I asked the lady if she could alter them? But I would like him to put them on so she could get the correct length. She then proceeded to tell me NO, I HAVE CAMERS EVERYWHERE!! I then said excuse me, thinking I maybe heard her wrong. She no and you can pin them where you want and placed tomatoe with a bunch of pins on it. I told her I would take my business elsewhere!! Im very offended by her and her business practices! What a find for me. I don't feel comfortable shopping downtown LA anymore. This location is easily assessable by freeway and has a good size parking lot. It is small. It does resemble some of the notions ribbon shops you would see Downtown Los Angeles, it is well organized, and smells fresh which means no mildew which you may discover later when you get home when you buy things downtown Los Angeles it has happened several times to me. Veronica, the owner, sews aprons for adults and children at really good prices! Her prices are comparable to down town and even cheaper on some items. I loved chatting with her. This is gonna be my go to place for ribbons, material, etc. she even had a display case for items you would buy for a baptism or baby shower. Thank you Veronica! read more

Horrible customer service. RUDE!! I walk in ask for the fabric I need she asks me what color I tell her so she pulls out a roll I ask her how many yards is left on that roll as I was in need for quite an amount of yards. She was bothered at the fact that I asked her to count how much was left on the roll and told me she will not be counting it if I wont be purchasing it. Then had the audacity to tell me not to get mad. So uncalled for what great customer service you are providing she obviously did not want to make the sale. read more

I originally came here because honestly I'm tired of supporting big box stores and wanted to find more local shops to support. I walked into the store which is pretty small, don't get me wrong though, it's packed with a good amount of beautiful fabrics. They have fleece towards the back and a good selection fabrics ranging from your run of the mill cottons, a few lighter rayon, stretch linings, lace, and all that fun stuff. I didn't anticipate getting as much fabric as I did but...I couldn't help myself ahaha. There was a gentleman who was helping out and was super helpful. The owner was there to ring me up and she was nice too(: Btw, that remnant bin is a trap man. I pulled out like 4 pieces that were $1 each and were decent in size. Took my trench coat here to get the buttons changed looked fine until after wearing it the first time 1 button started to fall off. I went in to get my pants tapered then brought up my coat that she did. Told her the situation about the button falling off and she said "if you bring it in again I have to charge you again" I was a but shocked and told her It's just 1 button I need you to fix. She said "you can sew it yourself" so then I said "I came to you to get it done for a reason, I dont know how to sew" so then she was like "you know what I dont want to do your pants, forget it. Because you are complaining about the button what if more about the pants after" so then she scraps the receipt for the pants and said "you can go somewhere else, im the owner here I can do whatever I want". Horrible customer service and will not fix her own work. Don't go to this place. read more

I've been coming here since I was 12. Great selection, cheap prices and the woman who runs it is always helpful. It is a little disorganized but if you've been shopping at the fabric district in DT LA you would see that that is no better plus Veronica's is MUCH closer! This is not JoAnns so get your snotty little nose out of here and go pay 300% mark ups for clean aisles if that's what you want. LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

This place is great! There's so much variety in here I come for one thing and end up buying so much more The owner is sooo nice and helpful even her husband is very funny! I feel very welcomed by them! The prices are amazing I've been coming here for years and you pay less than half of what you would spend at Walmart or Joann's Just make sure to have cash and patience for the parking sometimes it gets alittle packed They also rent tables and chairs and I've had them for a couple of my parties and the most comfortable and stable chairs and always clean! read more

Local Whittier business with a super sweet owner. I was able to purchase some lace (in stock) for $2.50/yd. Joanne's had similar lace for $9.99/yd and I would have to wait until it was shipped from their warehouse in a couple of days. So it was a win-win for me coming here. Love this place! The owner is super nice and friendly! I felt like I was talking to one ofmy aunts, she really made you feel right at home. My husband had told me about this place when I first started getting into sewing about a year ago. I drive by here on occasion and never went in, parking is intimidating and I just felt lazy to try to squeeze in there. Not until recently, I have 3 baby showers to go to, I am a baby freak! I find out someone is pregnant and I buy the whole store minus the stroller! Lol unfortunately I don't have that kind of money anymore. So I decided to use the fabric I do have. Long story short the fabric I have is girly and two out of the 3 cousins are having boys. Joann's is super expensive and I didn't want to spend $10 a yard for fabric. I decided to come here. Omg, my only regret is not coming here sooner! Owner, super nice, fabric, super cheap, what more can I ask for?! I warned her though, I am going to be a repeated customer! Heck I am going tomorrow ! Love the prices, love the store, love Veronica's Fabric! Oh and it's Cash Only so go to the bank before hand! One tiny problem, the store is a bit small, don't take kids, strollers anything that you know won't fit at a tight spot cuz there is no room. It is a bit disorganized but you can see and ask for the fabric, and the women will gladly help. I love this place & have already recommended her to several ladies :-) and my hubby. I went to this shop today based on positive yelp reviews. It's a nice little shop, and the owner is sweet and really helpful. There is a decent supply of fabric, but since I went for trims I didn't spend any time looking at the bolts she has. If you are looking for trims, ribbon or lace, there is a good selection with really good prices! Most of the items I got were 3-5 yards for a dollar! That's a good deal! read more

I recently had the "assignment" of planning a funeral reception within a week's time. Once a location was secured, the next question was, "where can we rent cloth tablecloths?" I often pass this location and knew of others who had rented tablecloths from here. YES! They had them--both round & rectangular for a very reasonable price & she accommodated me on when I needed them & when I could return them. "You get what you pay for" embodies the experience I had with the shopkeeper of this store. This was my first visit and I had my curtain panels hemmed for $8 each (this was probably the best part of the whole experience). I needed it to come in specifically at 88" so it reaches the floor in my home. Upon taking it home, the curtains were way too short. I measured it two inches too short at 86". I took it back and the shopkeeper measured it one inch short at 87", so she said she would fix it. I asked instead if she could give me an 1 1/2 just to be safe and she agreed with no issues. I picked up the curtains the next day and to my surprise was told that she didn't ever want me to come back again. When asked for her reason, she said that never has any customer asked her to redo the work. I don't see how I did anything wrong except ask her to fix her mistake. I am a big supporter of local, small businesses but I had to write this review to inform my fellow neighbors of the rude and disappointing customer service that you will receive. The hem turned out okay but the craftsmanship is still poor. I think I would have been better off sewing it myself or having the dry cleaners do it for me. I wanted to give this place a chance but I guess the bruise to her ego wasn't worth keeping a potential loyal customer. read more
