It's a small, family-run, local business, so it's much more deserving of our business than Amazon or Michaels. Prices are good, too. I will say this, though. The owner's son is there full-time, so we see him enough. He's always been professional and helpful, just a bit cold. But I just noticed today that he's so warm to virtually everyone else who walks in the door, and has conversations with them! When we walk in, he does not greet us and will not speak to us unless we directly ask him something. We're not loud or demanding, I just get the sense that he does not like us. I still highly recommend this local business. I'm just saying, if you feel a difference in treatment from your fellow shoppers from the son, just know that you are not alone.

This is a very, very tightly packed store, very similar to the outlets you find in the textiles downtown. But tell them what you need and they will find it for you! The stuff they sell are not name brands but items that industrial sewing factories use. They speak some English so it helps if you have pictures to help explain your projects. I brought knits to dress 5 kids for Halloween and the cost for all the fabric cane out to 30 dollars. They don't have every color of thread or zippers in the rainbow, nor bias tape, but creative folks will teach you how to improvise. They have a huge variety of fabrics and you can probably spend a couple of hours looking around and finding different materials. The cost is pretty fair and the employees are so kind and helpful. The lady that helped us both times we went in was so sweet and she even went looking for a specific fabric design we were looking for and eventually found the perfect one. The only downside is parking is atrocious and just be resigned to the fact that you're going to spend $20 at one of the small lots and don't be fooled by the $3 parking because in tiny small print it says the first 15 minutes is $3 with a maximum parking fee for the day is $20.

I wanted to buy ribbon various color sizes and types. When I walked towards the back of the store to look at the ribbon, I was flabbergasted!!! my eyes open so wide my mouth dropped open. I had just stepped into ribbon heaven. I came away with maybe 20 different ribbons, maybe 5 yards each and $48 bill. Well worth it. I wanted various types to make ribbon book markers. I will post a picture so you could see how beautiful they came out. I will be back with a pocket full of money to buy more ribbon.
