If you're going to treat customers like it's Burger King, then charge Burger King prices. Don't charge luxury prices for an experience that feels like nobody wants to be there. The slime was fine, but customer service is part of what you're paying for, and that part completely missed the mark. Let me start this by saying that I never leave Yelp reviews, but I felt so compelled by my terrible experience at Moor's that I had to tell other people. I took my old sewing machine in for a repair after it became stuck. I arrived to the presence of a guy named Adelpho, who said that he was going to charge 170$ just to look at it, and the parts may not be found, and that I might as well buy a new sewing matching from them for that price. He points to a sewing machine in front of me with a sticker of $180 on it. Well, I thought something was weird because that seemed expensive, but I decided to look at his inventory just in case. He pointed out an expensive Brother machine priced at $400. He claimed that this machine was typically $700, but with a trade in of my old machine, which he literally claimed was worth "only a dollar," it would be $400. The sticker said $400 WITH TRADE IN. When I asked him about the machine priced at $180, and asked about the discount for a trade in, he said "no, that is 180$ WITH A TRADE IN ALREADY. If you don't trade in you have to pay $299." 299$????? Are you kidding me?? The sticker says 180$ right in front of me, with no trade stipulation mentioned. I asked him why the Brother machine said that there was a trade in and not the cheaper one, and he rudely said, "oh, they forgot." Nice try, guy. You're not getting my sewing machine for free or my business anymore. God, I hate dishonest people. read more

I've decided to persevere and purchase another Serger. I've had two and returned them after lessons. Trying to thread the machines have been a nightmare for me. Our local sewing center carried Babylock Sergers and I asked to see one that would auto thread. He showed me the Celebrate. Cool! But, for $2500, I said I needed to wait a little longer. Looked on the internet for a Babylock Celebrate and Moore's popped up with one for $999. I said, hum, must be used. Called and spoke to Robyn and she assured me it was brand new in the box. Ordered it and it sat for a for several weeks to get up the courage to learn a new machine. A couple of weeks ago, got it threaded and it worked great. Sewed an unusual piece of scrap fabric and broke a needle. Had the machine upside down to install a new needle (don't laugh). I'm trying. So, I called Roby and she was the best ever. She faced-timed me and asked me did I use the needle holder and I said it didn't come with one. She asked me to pull out the hidden tray under the thread and there it was. Yea! She also said to be sure and thread the same needle if I was using both. Good tip, I put in a 90/14 and she said put in the same, which was 75/11. I'm just so giddy about using this Serger. My sister had a very negative experience with the staff at this store. She purchased a Baby Lock embroidery machine to make some Christmas gifts, that stopped working the second time she used it. She brought it back to the store and an employee named Linda was trying to help her. Linda was very helpful but could not figure out what was wrong. When she asked her male coworker for help, he came over, took one look (without even touching it or checking it out) and told my sister that she probably did something wrong and broke it. He berated her and told her there was nothing they could do unless she paid to have it sent out for repair. Her other option was to purchase a service plan for $600. When my sister asked if she could just return the machine, he told her no, since she broke it, she couldn't return it. She assured him she followed all the instructions and he argued with her. She was almost in tears! Feeling like she had no other choice, she purchased the service plan. They assured her they would put a rush on it. It has now been several weeks with no word. No customer should be treated the way my sister was treated by the employees of this store. read more

Its recently been my birthday and I had a singer simple (what a terrible first machine) and I was about to give up sewing but then I went in and talked to the lovely people there and they set up a few machines, and since im in college I am looking for a deal so when they showed me the Brother inno-vis 950D, I knew I had to have it. Traded my old machine for a discount and they even comped some thread for me! What wonderful ladies! I have been going to Moore's for over 4 or 5 years. I have purchased a sewing machine and upgraded to an embroidery machine. I have also purchased a serger and an embellisher. I think the Orange store is fantastic. They take the time to answer all my questions and problem solve. They go out of their way to say "Hi" when I arrive in the store and know me by name. It's the best personal service of any store around. I have to be careful because George can always talk me into some really great deals. They have the best Sew Fun Club. I came to Moore's after a small part on my surger was lost. They did not carry parts for my machine, but referred me to their store in Alisa Viejo. The guys at Alisa Viejo searched diligently to try and locate the small screw that I had lost. When they could not find one they took a photo of my machine in case they were able to find the screw at a later date. I would not hesitate to drive from Murrieta up to their store for any machine repairs I needed. Honest and kind workmen are getting harder and harder to find. I found some at Moore's. read more

Skip that and head to the piles of fabric towards the side and back of the store. The only thing I couldn't find there was on brand fabrics like Hello Kitty and the Nightmare Before Christmas. 1/16/26: We ordered a kit online and paid for 2 day shipping. Four business days later, USPS…read moretracking still showed the package in pre-shipment (awaiting package). Called the store who said it was out of their hands and we should wait longer. Then they asked us to wait one more day despite there being no evidence they ever took the package to USPS for shipping. They kept claiming there was nothing more they could do to help. When we asked for a receipt that the package had been dropped off to USPS, they admitted they pay someone else to pickup packages for delivery, but they couldn't reach that person to investigate further (this was during business hours). When we requested reimbursement of the order and shipping fees, they agreed and then hung up on us. We had to call back to confirm the reimbursement. We don't trust their business practices or the way they manage customer concerns. Two stars only because they reimbursed us. Update on 2/18/26: The kit finally arrived, but we sent it back because they had reimbursed us. Imagine our surprise when the box (now torn up and beaten) returned to us. It was marked "RTS" with their address marked out. Inside was a bunch of trash (the kit had been removed). When we checked tracking, we found they received the box on February 3 at 1109a and had it marked as "addressee unknown" on Feb 4 at 953a. Return to Sender was processed Feb 4 at 1024a. They had it for almost 24 hours before they processed it as RTS. To say their business practices need improvement is a huge understatement. This is retaliation in its lowest form. If service and respect are important to you, avoid this business.

Our…read morecamp got in touch with Rex in order to source large (for us, at least) amounts of stretchable fabric that we used to create a beautiful billiards hall that is a landmark at Black Rock City. We also purchased some glorious patterned fabric to cover pads and cushions in our "cuddle puddle". We've gotten wonderful feedback on how our Hall looks! When we first approached Rex Fabrics in 2019, we had no idea what the process for buying fabric was - in fact we just walked in the front door! The staff was very accommodating of our basic questions, helped us examine a broad array of fabric choices (they have so, so many, including in many wonderful colors and patterns), and we felt made us a fair price. When we needed to return a couple of years later to add more fabric to our structure, the Rex team was able to retrieve our previous order quickly to help us get more of what we needed. We will definitely be back if we have any more fabric needs!
