The wall of wreaths offered plain to polished rounds, ranging from $25 to that incredible $60 mark my wife had to hang on the front door. Man, this place prints money. Inside, you find the means to grown pants and the fertilizers to keep them potent. Props for offering a mostly chemical-free inventory. They are all landscape size plants but small enough to take home with you, although delivery is available. We bought our Kingsley Bate outdoor seating set, fire table, Adirondack chairs, and our kids' swing set there, and everything has been excellent. The quality of the furniture is outstanding, and the whole setup has completely transformed our backyard patio into a space we use all the time. The Kingsley Bate seating in particular looks great, is extremely comfortable, and has held up beautifully. The fire table has been a perfect addition and gets a ton of use. What we really appreciate about The Casual King is being able to see and compare high-quality outdoor furniture in person and work with people who know the products. We've made several purchases from them now and have been very happy every time. If you're looking for quality outdoor furniture or backyard equipment on the South Shore, I'd definitely recommend The Casual King in Hanover. We'll absolutely be going back for anything else we need for our outdoor space.

This place has a great selection of flowers, vegetable and herb starts which is the primary reason…read morewe come here every early spring. But they also sell a wide variety of bushes, shrubs, some trees, hanging plants, hay, fertilizers, plant foods and decor for your garden. As far as I know, there is no "guarantee" on any of the plants, trees, shrubs, etc here such as there is at place like Lowe's or Home Depot so that should be a factor in determining what you buy here. For most things, the prices tend to be on the high side although the vegetable starts we buy are in the ballpark. They do have some beautiful garden decor like chimes, birdbaths, and the like but these are on the high end. I saw a lovely stone cairn but it was priced ridiculously high for what it was and despite its loveliness I walked away. I wish there were more employees roaming around looking to see who might need assistance. I know it's very busy for them especially during the spring but to have a few dedicated people available to help shoppers would be welcome. We have had to wander about to track staff down if we have a question. Parking can be tight in high planting season so I recommend going early. I will say that despite the ridiculous and extended heat wave we had this summer, our tomatoes have really been going strong. I picked another basketful just yesterday morning and will go out there shortly to see what I have today. We also had an abundance of zucchini and I was thrilled to have lots and lots of zucchini flowers because I love to stuff and fry those. (If you've not eaten stuffed zucchini flowers you are missing a treat and it's worth planting zucchini if just for the flowers). We also had bumper crop of cucumbers coming from just 3 plants. I am thrilled we didn't plant any more! As it is, the neighbors were probably hiding from us worried that we were bringing more over. Three of the tomato starts seemed to whither and die early on even before the heatwave so it's not clear whether that was because the plant starts weren't healthy, our planting error or just the luck of the draw. Overall, with lots of effort on our parts (which is par for the course with gardening) we did well with the plant starts we bought here.

It's conveniently located right off the highway and they have a huge indoor space with all of the swing sets assembled for you to see. We found the one we wanted and had some questions so we found a salesman, Geoff, who helped us out. Geoff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He REALLY knows the product inside and out and was very easy to talk to. He walked me through all of the different configuration options, helped me decide on the number of swing stations, explained all of the accessories and in about 10-15 minutes he helped me zero in on what would be the best fit for us. Geoff processed the order quickly, set us up with an install date convenient for us and we were on our way. The support didn't stop there. I had some challenges in preparing the swing set area in my yard, specifically in trying to figure out how big the space should be and where the set would go when delivered. I must have called Geoff 5 times and he was super friendly, patient and helpful. He provided me all of the measurements I needed and fully answered all of my questions. I later had to reschedule my install and he was very understanding about that as well. The installers showed up on time and were friendly and professional. They assembled the set in just over a couple of hours, were organized, clean and did a great job. Overall, my experience with Creative Playthings could not have been better. For me, it was Geoff that really made it and is the driver behind the 5 star rating. I would highly recommend contacting him if you are in the market for a swing set.
