Tortellini alla Panna w/ meatballs
Mandie Z.

I uber eats tortellini alla panna w/ meatballs. I have to say I was not impressed at all. The meatballs tasted like frozen meatballs reheated. The pasta was nothing to get excited about & the sauce tasted like it came from a bottle. Really the only thing that tasted really good and why I gave them a 3 was their bread. It was so moist, still hot, soft , and so flavorful! Hey stop by this place try it out for yourself, you may love it! Then review it! This is just my opinion!

Chicken & Shrimp Special (Off Menu)

We enjoy bringing our friends to Verona for a tasty Italian experience at great prices. And it's BYOB so we get to bring our own wines and other drinks. Place is getting more popular as all tables were full on Saturday night. Super friendly service and say hello to Flo! Great takeout too.

Chicken Alfredo

We have ordered from Verona Italian Cafe many times over the past couple of years because they put out fresh and quality food and they never disappoint. This time I ordered something different for myself other than my usual Spaghetti with meat sauce and I got the Chicken Alfredo. I also got an order of the Garlic Bread with cheese and for dessert a slice of their Limcello Mascarpone Cake. My daughter had the Cheese Ravioli and a slice of NY Cheesecake. YUMM!

Baked Ziti
Christyn B.

I placed my order via DoorDash and had it delivered. I ordered the Baked Ziti with meatballs added to it. I received something that vague resembles what baked ziti is supposed to be. It just looked like an ordinary pasta dish, not a baked one. The pasta was good, but it was very watery. The sliver of cheese that was put on top seemed like it melted due to the heat of the food, not an oven. The meatballs were undercooked and a little raw in the middle, so I opted out of trying them. The bread was pretty good and really soft. The order seemed to be prepared in a rush, considering the fact that it was handed to the delivery driver no more than 8 minutes after ordering. I don't mind a wait. I just expect good and accurate food, or I would have ordered fast food...

Eggplant Rollatini

We rediscovered Verona's! We had the Eggplant Rollatini and the Frutti di Mare. Both for absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Flo was wonderful and saw to our needs. Especially when it came to desserts. The canollis and Limoncello were really good. We will definitely be back!

We just returned from a week long vacation in San Diego which is home to the largest Little Italy district in the US. We ate in that district three times while we were there. It was good but it didn't hold a candle to our neighborhood Italian restaurant, Verona's. We ate there tonight; our first night back. The ziti with meat sauce and the stromboli were excellent. They are located at 121 and Coit. Give them a try. You won't regret it!

Verona special

Our favorite little Italian cafe! Love that it is BYOB and the food is always great! Try the Verona Special with chicken and shrimp (off menu special) and you will NOT be sorry!!!! Grab a pizza to take home to the kids, too!

Tilapia and Shrimp over linguine

Everyone should have that great little hole in the wall Italian restaurant. The one where the food is great, plentiful and inexpensive. A Place where you can bring your own wine for birthdays, first dates, anniversaries or even to dine solo. Well this is the place. That restaurant where if you come often enough, the staff knows your name and your favorite places to sit. I truly enjoyed our dinner here. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. Can't wait for my next visit.

The fact that the owner makes…read moreeverything from scratch, dough, cheeses, sauces, etc. I guarantee once you've tried this, you'll never eat another pizza anywhere else! It's a little expensive but SO worth every penny. We had the garlicky cheese which is better than any garlic cheese breadstick anywhere. That thin crispy dough and delicious cheese! Oh my! Also had a large pepperoni cup with homemade red sauce. Family loved it. My husband and I had a large veggie of our choice, with Italian sausage and homemade red sauce and added homemade ricotta too. Incredibly delicious! I wish he would add a couple of dessert pizzas too. Yummy! Please give them a try, you won't regret it and you'll fall in love too.

We ordered the Aurthur, and it was delicious. I wasn't sure how much to order so I got a large to be safe. Well, its huge at 16". Probably more than we needed for two people as we each ate two large slices, leaving 4 slices left over. I love leftover pizza, so no problem there. I think its a better value at $23.50 versus $16 for a small? I liked the greek salad as well, although It could probably use a larger lettuce to all-other-ingredients ratio. it seemed like all the ingredients were about equal in portion. Delicious, but I want a bit more lettuce. I will for sure try some of the other pizzas here. And I liked the friendly staff. They seem genuinely "all-in", which is a great thing.

The price was worth it though and the pizza was incredible, even though it arrived lukewarm. The sauce cup felt frozen, and the breadsticks were flavorless. The ranch cup was DELICIOUS.

OK i saw it was missing toppings and knew before i even ate it and well we ate the F'ing pizza and there 100% was missing toppings - MULTIPLE (it was missing the bacon jam and hot honey, literally the 2 addons the specialty pizza was supposed to come with) as shown in picture i provided... we ordered the sweet revenge specialty pizza with mushrooms, extra cheese, red bell peppers, and pepperoni. we pay good for these pizzas and have been good customers for years. the old people who worked there the last few months knew our order specifically. idk if they changed staff or what. - i made sure to speak to the manager and speak nicely but once he told me i was making it up i definitely was angry. he offered no way to help and told me i would have to drive back up there. i ask for his name to and he said he didnt see the relevance. obviously the relevance was to complain. the workers there seem high on drugs other than just weed based on the dark black circles around there eyes... yikes must be good letting them handle food, anyway. the person checking me out seemed like he was waiting for me to leave without me even paying because he was so high. the manager did not care when i told him this. and he refused to give me his name. this place is terrible and the upper management seems to never check on it in my opinion. i even gave the manager the option like i could send him picture of the pizza etc and get a credit for next time but i got no help. i hang up and made this post. very frustrating. 40 dollars wasted... save your money and eat at a place next door or a diffferent pizza place. Thanks for reading. We as long time customer are never going here again. P.S. the date was 5/19/26 and time was 6PM for upper management that actually care to look into this since they wouldnt give me a managers name. insane tbh. everyone there must be high.

Bf and I stopped in here for date night after meaning to try it for a while…read more I got the strawberry lemonade as the reviews highly recommended it, and it was quite good. Definitely tasted real and fresh, and the price includes a refill. The bread itself was pretty flavorless, but I really liked the spice on the butter. I got Veal Piccata, as piccata is my favorite dish and the one I always get when trying a new Italian restaurant. The veal itself was very good, and I liked the flavor of the sauce: a lot more lemony and chicken broth than any white wine taste that some places emphasize. However, I do think the sauce was entirely too watery (pretty much like soup) and the noodles were soggy and chewy. Our waitress was overall attentive, if not seeming a little reluctant to leave the table after we said we were good. She also spilled a lot of my sauce all over the table (fine, things happen) and instead of cleaning it up, she just set my plate on top of it and apologized. My side of the table was covered in the sauce for the rest of the meal. My bf liked his dish as well, and I liked the texture of his chicken. I equate the taste of his sauce to the five cheese marinara at Olive Garden. Overall, I think we would both return.
