The entire process was pain free from quote to installation... couldn't have been happier with the screens or the service. Fast forward a few years and one screen developed a problem retracting, so I called Ryan and he made time to stop over and remedy the situation for us. I ordered a graber glide shade on Oct5,2023, I finally terminated my contract with them on July26,2024, after multiple excuses. The shade apparently arrived after I terminated the contract. I was able to order the same shade from a different business, it was installed within 30 days! VT Shade and Blind now refuses to refund my money. I'm not sure why one business can get the shade in 30 days, and it takes another 10 months. read more

Three years ago they sold me $5,300.00 worth of motorized skylight shades. I bought these instead of the manual type because they said "we offer a battery service, either once or twice a year". Being old and fat, I said "great" as long as I am not 15' up on a ladder with a fist full of AA batteries. Now it's service time. Over the past two months (May-June)I have called four times and emailed once on 6/15. I only got a response after I left this review on Google, saying summer was their busy time. Really? Too busy to return a phone call or an email to an existing customer? If you can't do it, say so. Don't ghost your existing customers, it is unprofessional. I would not recommend them. Sad too, I support local small businesses, just not this one. Luckily, there's a few Hunter Douglas Reps who call back, and I can do business with instead. read more

I'm glad I didn't go off that last review because Ryan was the most professional and hassle free experience I can ever remember. This was truly a first because there's always BS associated with people coming into your house to do work, but not here. I let Ryan run with my ideas of what I wanted, strayed me away from what he thought wouldn't work as far as shade material and colors, he nailed it. It's very hard to get people to show up and do work in Vermont let alone get a quote. I'll see you tomorrow at noon as I rolled my eyes! Not only was he here the next day but @ 1030am, earlier then expected. Even during COVID times his product didn't take months to come in. Installation was under an hr for 11 windows. Him and his associate Bob were in and out, they truly knew what they were doing, "Professionals"! I recommended him to 3 other people who used Vermont Shade and Blinds and I'm pressing them to leave a review on here as well since they were beyond happy! I had 5 phantom screens installed at my home as well as 9 blinds. The blinds are wonderful and look terrific. The phantom screens have been nothing but an issue since they were installed. The screen comes out of the track and bunches up so you can't open them and the latches don't catch to close them. Contacted the owner of this company, Ryan Emilio, who does not know how to deal with people who have an issue with his product. He is the most unprofessional individual I have run into in a very long time. I don't think it's very professional to call my friend and contractor working on the premise, a "dick head". Nor do I appreciate being told to "slow my roll" if I expect him to work with me to come to a solution. Maybe he needs to find a new profession that doesn't include dealing with the public. That being said, he has offered no solution, and has been nothing but aggressive since contacted that there was a problem.
