These guys did my house. I can tell you with 100% confidence that this is one of the finest companies in Vermont. Here's why. The day after they foamed my place they were back spraying on white, vapor-barrier paint. Great. The day after that a guy came back with a small tank attached to a handheld sprayer. He was lying on his back; a squirt here; another squirt there. I asked what he was doing. He said his job was to touch up the tiny nooks and crannies that the big sprayer missed. Now that, in my book, is the ultimate in perfection. Doing something that no one would ever know about, because it's the right thing to do. Oh, BTW, my house is warmer than it's ever been. We increased the size of the house significantly and yet my fuel consumption has dropped over 1/3. Hire these guys! You'll be glad you did. read more

We recently decided to insulate our late 1700's farm house in Southern Vermont. Since we realized that it would be a substantial project, we sought out several estimates. VFI provided us with the lowest estimate, for which we were happy. When we checked their references, we felt good about having VFI do the work. Now that the work is completed, we are overjoyed! Their invoice come in matching their estimate, even though there were a few needed workarounds. Their crew is pleasant and professional; very easy group to work with. I had several questions and always got an immediate answer. Now, our house feels much tighter and we are cozy! I would hire VFI again in an instant. I used VFI to spray foam my entire house in Vermont. I checked with at least three other companies prior to going with VFI. Their quote was very competitive and they did exactly what was promised. The crew showed up on time, and cleaned up after they left. I agree with the other poster...they are a very hard working crew who do a great job. I went back and forth between spray foam and fiberglass and after choosing spray foam I have to say there is no comparison. So if you're on the fence like I was, I recommend the spray foam...there is no other product that insulates like it, I'm thinking we will probably be able to heat the house with a candle. read more

VFI did a great job with a fairly involved insulation job. We insulated an old, somewhat loose, stone foundation in the basement - which worked very well and virtually ended some leak problems we had during rainstorms. They did a very tidy job of spreading plastic on the dirt floor under an old porch that is now inside space - and foamed the walls right down to connect to the plastic ground cover. They were able to get into tough spots, and did an outstanding job overall. Will Reed and his crew are terrific! This little 1930's cottage poorly insulated but charmingly finished inside - worth preserving - could only be saved by "lifting the lid", pulling out whatever was found (lots of little mice nests, too!), and filling with molten foam. Roofer, Eli Phoenix, told me that the foam actually tightened up the stick construction of the house. Vermont Foam Insulation and Phoenix Roofing of Townshend, VT were a winning combination!
