My deposit was half of the $140 repair bill. I was told 5-7 business days. On 11/7/2019, the 8th business day, I had not recieved any word from them. I called to find out the repair was being done then. Later the same day I recieved texts(see pics) saying it is damaged. I refused to take a broken screen to replace a broken screen. I was told they would order another. After receiving no communication on December 2nd I called during business hours 3 times. This is 36 days after I dropped it off. I had no phone over the holiday and am upset about all of this. On the third they finally answered. The owner, TJ was not available. His employee proceeded to tell me they are no longer going to fix it. Nothing is being done to make any of this right. I asked for TJ the owner to call me. He did not. This morning December 3rd I called. Same employee answers. Says TJ is not there. Claims he called already this morning. I have no missed call and no voicemail. I am offered a refund. I have already been without a phone for 37 days. After I got upset because they obviously do not care and are not honoring their end of the verbal contract to provide the repair the employee decides he is too sensitive for real talk. I did not have an appointment for the Genius Bar, but the guy in the front took my info down, and told me it would only be about half an hour. I wandered off, and in about 10 minutes, I received notice that my appointment was ready. The guy helping me was super thorough and knowledgeable. He confirmed what I already knew - that my iPad needed to be replaced with a new one. Fortunately, I could get a trade in amount of $190, so that helped substantially with purchasing a new one. The apple "genius" (maybe Andrew?) ordered my new iPad mini, went and got it, took my payment, deactivated my old one, set up my new one, and scrubbed the old one. Altogether it took less than an hour and I was on my way, easy peasy. I don't use their services often, but it's nice that they are available if I need to.

Then the real frustration began. The store told us the warranty is not handled by Apple but by Belkin. That means filling out a lengthy online form, waiting nearly a month for processing, then another week for shipping. It has now been almost two months since purchase, and we've been walking around with a brand-new phone covered by a cracked screen protector. Extremely overpriced, disappointing durability, and a warranty process that is slow and impractical. I would not recommend buying these screen protectors at the Apple Store. Ordering from Amazon is far cheaper and far less hassle.
