What a great experience! As retired folks, we try to manage our finances carefully. Trying to get the best deal for our cell phone service, we found Verizon worked best with us to get the discounts we deserved, and the best overall plan for us. We worked with two very knowledgeable and helpful ladies yesterday, and finalized our plan today with Curtis. We were thinking of switching for a better deal that another carrier offered, but as a long-time Verizon customer, and no complaints on service, even though we live in the country, we were very pleased with the plan, and our entire experience today. Staff was friendly, understood my phone's technical issue and had a fix for the problem. Verizon is so far from customer oriented I'm always amazed, but the coverage is good, so there you go. Went to store yesterday to discuss some technical issues with my phone. There were a FEW people n line. Decided to wait. Saw PLENTY of staff standing behind counter talking amongst themselves. NOT ONE PERSON APPROACHED ME. After 10 minutes, I walked next door to Midwest Deli to grab a menu. I returned to Verizon, one person in being helped by staff, same staff talking o each other. One glanced at me and then turned away. I stood there for 5 minutes and walked out. I understand being busy but they weren't AND every Verizon store I have ever been in has at least a greeter. Due to the short distance to the store. I am going back today to give them one more chance. I same as yesterday, I am so headed to store on Edison in Mishawaka. read more

This place sucks. I ordered a phone online for pick up over 4 hours ago and have not received the text that it is ready. I have been on hold for over an hour trying to see when I can pick up and I still have no answer. They are closing soon and I will be without a phone. I am disappointed that my first review on yelp is a negative review, however, the service that I received is what prompted my motivation for creating an account and documenting my experiences from here on out. So on Saturday the 27th of February, I walk into a Verizon store with a friend looking to switch from AT&T to Verizon in hopes of getting a joint plan and two up to date phones. As we walk in, no one greets us and for 20 minutes we stand by both the register and the display of Samsung phones. We are then approached by an associate who asks us if we were helped upon which our reply was "no." She then proceeded to type in the name of my friend who was there to discuss a billing concern on their account. I had mentioned that I needed to speak with a representative as well as I was looking to obtain a new plan with two phones, but the associate didn't bother taking my name down. The associate mentioned that after my friend was helped, I could ask the sales rep/associate about my concerns. Fair enough. Fast forward another 20 minutes. There were a number of people who came in after us who were approached right away and asked for what their needs were. Many of them were walked over to the displays for which they came in, while we just stood there waiting. By now, I noticed an associate whom I later found out is a supervisor/manager named Will, who has been walking around assisting customers who walked in after us. By now, I was a bit irritated and started to observe my surroundings more carefully. I stared at Will walking by us a couple of times and noticed that he looked over at us from the corner of his eye's a couple of times without making any direct eye contact. Now, I am upset and the expression on both my friends face and mine was not a happy one. There were probably about 5 associates on the floor while another one or two were in the back. Will the supervisor/manager finally approaches us and asks what brings us in to Verizon. By now, I am very upset and with a slight undertone of sarcasm replied, "definitely not the customer service," but then proceeded to inform him that we have been waiting for almost an hour while we watched him and the associates in the store help almost everyone else but us. I then asked him if there was a supervisor on duty upon which he explained that he was a supervisor. Without apologizing, he said that they were busy and that he didn't notice us. I don't know if that was true but in a store were all the associates where Caucasian and the only non caucasions were me and an African American gentlemen who was probably in there for a similar reason, it's hard to say you didn't notice us. Now I don't want this to become an issue concerning race but I did want to point that out based on his comment that he didn't notice us. He then proceeded to advise me that if I didn't change my attitude, he would have to ask me to leave. "ATTITUDE?" If anything, he lacked management skills to diffuse the situation and take responsibility for his actions or lack of action as a manager/supervisor. He also didn't take responsibility for his employees actions or lack of customer service. Anyway, rather than signing up with Verizon, I went to my mobile provider whom provided superb customer service and I was able to add a line. read more

STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY. I recently moved 4 lines from Sprint to Verizon, I also bought 4 new note8s. As a part of a promotion, we were trading in our old phones for bill credit of $240 to $480 per phone, well above normal trade in value. The Phones were bought at Best Buy. Best Buy tells us the trade in thing was a Verizon promotion to contact Verizon online. After contacting Verizon online, we were told to bring them to a corporate store, to do the trade in, they even gave the address to this store. I went into the store, the first time, and asked a few questions about the trade in process. They said, they were advising us to mail it to Verizon, but they would do it, when ever. A week later, we returned with the 4 phones to be traded in. We were met by Tevin. I explained what we were doing, he promptly tells me we were not eligible to do this because we did not buy the phones through this store. I explain otherwise, and tell him of the Verizon online information. After him telling us that the promotion was over, and we were not eligible, for a total of 4 times. He takes a phone and tries to run it through his system, he said the phone was worth $112. Once again, he tells us, we were not eligible. I asked him to contact Verizon corporate. he reluctantly does. while he is telling his rep of our situation, he tells them,, " Just tell me that they are not eligible". While they are running our information, he tells his rep a additional 6 times, "tell me they are not eligible". They inform him, that we are indeed eligible. He then tries to tell his rep, "Its past the 14 day trade in period, "tell me they are not eligible" He tells this to the rep 5 times. Meanwhile, my girlfriend calls Verizon corporate, They tell her that yes, we were eligible, plus we had 60 days to trade the phones in. Since we were having trouble with the store, it was probably better to mail the phones in. It was like meeting a internet troll who left his mother's basement. He was convinced he was right, and even when he was told he was wrong, multiple times, he continued to argue that he was right. Even trying to bully his corporate rep, into agreeing with him. To move these 4 lines, we have spent over 8 hours on the phone or internet chats; fixing billing problems, deleting additional services that we did not agree to, and promotion trade in problems, We should have stayed with Sprint. read more

Got a Droid work phone the other day and needed screen protectors. The sales staff was very helpful even though it was pretty busy during lunch time. They answered all my questions and even took the time to put the screen protector on my phone. Now that is customer service Im not accustomed to from a cell phone store. read more

-VZ customer for 10+ years. I went into a VZ store today looking for assistance. Our billing cycle is set for the 16th of every month and our contract expires on the 21st. We no longer wanted to continue our services after we paid our bill on the 16th - but also didn't want to be billed for the 5 days leading up to the 21st. The store employee was zero help, said there was nothing he could do and that I should call customer service after he suggested we upgrade our data plan which is why we are switching providers in the 1st place. I called customer service. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was AMAZING and helped me iron out all my concerns in under 5 minutes on the phone. Why couldn't the employee in the store help me? I was shocked and extremely displeased with his inability to help assist me and also for his disconcern. Verizon does NOT offer unlimited data. They call it "unlimited", but it has a cap and after the cap is met, your data is syphened throughout the course of the month and if the cap is exceeded you will pay nearly double what your plan is set at. That is the reason why we are switching providers, but my experience in the VZ store today simply added another reason as to why we are cutting ties with Verizon. read more

I went in to open a new account for my family with veriZon and worked with a sales rep named james. WORST EXPERIENCE of my life. Not only was he full of it but was really rude. He told me that the gizmo pal watch was free and that my tablet was free. I stopped in to my local store and they explained the cost of both items. Never going back to this location or working with a sales rep named james. Turns out I used my old phone to trade in to purchase those as well. I'm new with veriZon but soon leaving. read more
