I had an issue with screws to fit an older Samsung Stand for a 55" TV. I checked numerous sources and no one could help or was interested enough to make any suggestions. When I finally called Alpha Electronics, they said, sure, bring in the TV and we should be able to fix it for you. Upon my arrival they put it on a cart in the lobby, made about 5 trips to the back for different screws to properly and safely secure the stand, and then told me "no charge"! I am grateful for their above-and-beyond customer service and will definitely use them again. read more

I was told that the circuit board in my Scott 299c amplifier was corroded, obsolete and unrepairable. Funny thing is vacuum tube amplifiers don't have circuit boards as anyone with any basic knowledge of vacuum tube amps would know. The technician further discouraged me from pursuing further diagnosis by saying the power supply was no good and would cost $300 or more to replace. Unfortunately I don't think he even plugged it in considering the fact the fuse holder was missing it's cap and fuse both before and after I delivered it to the shop. I will not take anything else to this shop. They're taking $30 bench fees and not doing anything based on the external condition of the piece (dirty). My 47-inch flat-screen VIZIO popped and lost power. I thought it would be cheaper to get a new TV rather than fix it. BUT I CHECKED out Alpha Electronics, a TV-packed small electronics shop. I'll admit that I wasn't sure about getting it back in working order. But, the crew fixed it in one day for $160. It was well-worth the investment for a four-year old TV. A new one would have been about $700 from a discount store. Now, it's like new and works great! The shop has got a little "retro" feel to it - but they know about the latest in electronics. DO NOT GET YOUR TV WORKED ON BY ALPHA ELECTRONICS. SELL IT FOR PARTS AND BUY A NEW ONE!!! this is the second time i've ever reviewed a company on any internet outlet. the first was to give 5 stars to an outstanding restaurant i had been to in florida. this is the second time i have been inspired to advise people based on my experience. alpha electronics takes absolutely no ownership of the problem and displays very little technical expertise. they just want your money. after paying them hundreds of dollars to fix my tv, they got it to work until just after the manufacturers warranty was exhausted on the replacement part. now, i'm doing what i should have done 3 months ago, buying a new tv for a few extra dollars and selling the old one for parts. wish i would have believed all the terrible reviews i had read and dismissed. read more

Our Hair SmartTV stopped working. Still under warranty, Haier told us that Alpha Electronics was their authorized repair center. We dropped it of on Saturday and had it back on Friday the week after. We did not expect that. As the previous reviewer said, kind of a 'retro' feeling, which is good, they know how mature and solid stuff works. They have great used items as well, all kinds of stuff. Only reason they got only 4 stars is that they should not lean on the TV while being on its plastic stand, that is just asking for the mount to break. My 32 inch Samsung LCD TV would start to turn on and then shut down. I took it to Alpha Electronics since the TV was only 4 to 5 years old. They replaced a couple of parts - total bill came to 105 dollars and I had it back in two days. The TV has worked like new for two years now. I believe they are a straight forward and trustworthy service. I would use their service again without reservation. read more
