OK, I have a lot of problems with Verizon as a corporation. However I won't go into specifics here. What I will say is that the company continues to have among the best customer service agents out there. We had a problem with suddenly almost running out of our monthly data allotment because a family member wasn't aware that streaming video and audio apps are data hogs. After two straight months of this we decided it was time to look at other multiple line family plans. Now, I've got a college degree, I've got a background in computers and such. But after reading the descriptions of the different plans and costs the details get jumbled in the brain. When they say unlimited is it really unlimited? And we don't need the top plan padded with apps and services we'll never use. But these other plans don't seem right either. What to do, what to do? So I broke down and started an online chat with a Verizon agent. She was perky and friendly and professional--and stayed that way over what became a marathon 90 minute to two hour chat. She did a great job of explaining all the benefits of the plan she thought was best so that even I could understand it. The only moment of disagreement we had was when she changed our current phone insurance plan to a new, cheaper one without getting my authorization first. But she immediately said she could change it back right away so I allowed the change. By the end of the chat, she had shown me how the this new plan with features we'd use and will never use was only slighter more expensive than our old plan. We had been paying extra for add-ons that were now included in the new plan. And now we have plenty of unlimited talk, text and data! With rare exceptions, Verizon customer service phone and chat agents have been superb through the many years we've had our wireless service with them. It's one of the major reasons why we stay with the company. Well, also because they provide the strongest cellular signals in our area. I still don't care for Verizon as a corporate entity but as I always say, sometimes you have to dance with the devil. read more

He could not spell customer service when he gave me their number and wasnt listening to the problem that I had. Terrible. Sales person said they would take care porting over all our devices and we would receive a credit for the two phones we still owed for a contract with T-Mobile. We also were told we could get YouTube tv through our bill at a discount and a package with Max and two other streaming services. Turns out they did not port over two of the Apple Watches so we have still been getting billed from T mobile. Received one code for cost of phone contact but was buried in the myriad of junk email we get from them and they won't reissue. Never got YouTube tv to work and still can't get Max.. Little to know help. Store tells me to contact customer service and customer service tell me to contact store. I don't think there any honest business out there anymore . I entered the store at 8:03 picked up a phone I purchased and was added to the queue at 8:06. I waited 40 minutes only to have them serve someone who checked in after me. I asked the manger and he explained that I needed to go to the person who check me on in. That completely negates the waitlist that I was on. The manager, Namen, just dismissed my concerns. I continued to wait an additional 20 minutes while the person who came in after me was serviced. Poor reflection on Verizon. Namen could benefit from some basic customer service training. read more

I came into this store to pick up my phone to be told that they didn't have it and was sent to 2 different stores with vague directions (they couldn't even tell me where the other stores were in the town) When I returned and asked for assistance once again I was told to call the various locations myself to figure out where the phone might be. No offer to assist me in finding it. No offer to look up my account for more information. Instead, I was talked over and not listened to. I repeatedly (4 times) asked them to look up my account and was repeatedly shut down and told to call around myself. I have been a verizon customer for 17 years. I went into to get help with setting up a phone and they wanted to charge me for their "customer service". Not only were they unhelpful they were condescending and rude. To charge for customer service is completely unbelievable. When I think Verizon can't any worse with their customer service, they seem to find a way to do it. They also no longer have a phone in store so you can't even call them to ask a simple question. And when you look them up online it says they have a store number but it's actually a third party support number which charges more than Verizon does. Not really sure what happened to customer service at this Silverdale Verizon store, have really gone down hill. Was needing what I thought was not a big ask, help my 70+ year old mother in laws with upgrading to new phones, and help them set up the new phone as well. I guess that was just simply not possible, given there were ZERO people in the store, and four or five sales reps just mulling around. Made an appointment with the customer service people online, the store did not apparently receive it. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, we are told that they can't help.....let's try that again, can't help a customer beyond selling the phone and giving you a piece of paper. Instead of what use to be an easy and friendly process at the store (and quick), it took over two hours and several calls to customer support. I've had Verizon for some years now and am happy with it's service EXCEPT their off-shoot new addition called Vi'si'ble. After 2 1/2 days trying to retain my old cell number and many many chat people and winding up with no service since day one! their policy is in order to cancel it much fall within 24hrs. of start-up. I had NO service since day one to cancel until I finally went in person to Verizon and cancelled on day 3. The $30 was up front before "service" was completed. NO REFUNDS after 24hrs. of turning on the cell. Later, I realized the chats were for transferring from one cell to another new cell. I had only ONE cell phone and wanted my old number transferred to the new plan. New plan=NO SERVICE? Visible refused a refund. Period. Sneaky. BEWARE! read more

If you need face to face service with Verizon DO NOT GO to this store. The manager is rude, disrespectful, and unwilling to help customers. Our daughter after being told by Verizon Corporate to go to this corporate store and return her iphone (it had to be replaced because the battery was superheating after she received her replacement phone overnight delivery). was left standing in the store for over two hours. At first he refused to even look at the phone even with a confirmation # from corporate because she's a user on our account not a manager. We had to call corporate back (we're in a different state) to do it as the website kept saying try later...... They fixed that, we gave him the information he looked at the phone for 2 seconds, said there was no visiable damage and refused to take the phone as corporate had instructed, he said she had to mail it back personally anywayseriously . We explained to him that corporate did not send a mailing label as it was superheating, too hot to even touch. They wanted it turned off as soon as the new phone arrived and requested she take it to this corporate store. She was there for over two hours, we were on the phone with corporate for just about the same amount of time trying to get this guy to take the phone as that was what corporate was saying even on the phone today. He refused even with their request via email to take the phone and ship it. Corporate even emailed him a shipping label to return it for her. He printed it, handed it to her told her to buy something as she'd been taking up his time or leave the store and take the phone to UPS. Two or three times, he left her standing at the counter and walked off even left the store while this was going on for a break. Corporate apologized profusely, gave us credit on our account and reimbursed the additional shipping charges to our account. The manager gave her the shipping label Corporate sent to the store so they could return the phone. With that label UPS refused to ship because it showed the pick up location as that store. The whole situation was insane! She could have been out of there in 20 minutes max. There is another store not far away. I'd highly recommend you go there. Verizon overall is a GREAT Company. We've had service with them for over 20 years, we have multiple lines and customer service is normally above par. This guy should not be managing anything. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for over 40 years. This is the worst store for customer service. There is always a wait; the check-in staff are consistently rude; there is no genuine concern about helping me to solve my problems. I have been here at times where staff with keys to open the doors have not shown up to work so we wait. I often go to the Olympia store which is a model store for professionalism and customer service. If you have nothing to do and want to sit around and wait, this is the place for customer no-service! I went into this location recently because I iPhone charger was stolen so I needed to replace it I was then charged $50 for a box and cable and was then givin the wrong cable do I have to drive all the way back from Bremerton for them to then carge me an extra $5 up charge for the new cable safe to say I will not be going back to this store again. read more

I transferred my service to this provider several months ago for myself and my youngest son. Just recently he and I went to the store to add him as an authorized user on the account so that he could be responsible for his own service. In addition to that they put his phone number in my maiden name, which I haven't used in over 6 months. This is just another fail for Verizon. What kind of firewall do they actually have? I don't think this corporation has any responsibility for their services or my personal security or safety. This is the third time I've had to argue with this company. When I switched to them from Boost for new phones, I had no idea that my identity and personal security were actually at risk. When I opened the account I had just changed my name and they told me they couldn't use my new name, yadayadayada... I could fix it when I had the "proper" identification. Well I got them the proper identification and now they have changed my sons account to a person who no longer exists. This is a breach of contract and illegal in so many ways. Yet Verizon has done nothing to correct this issue Making it extremely frustrating to business owners who can NOT rely on Verizon for anything anymore. I personally had two tickets opened that got closed because they found the problem. Overloaded towers are the problem. Can Verizon please FIX the problem now? What are we paying you for? In 2019 I signed up for a phone plan here & had impeccable service. Well it's 2021 & time for my husband to get a new phone & finally get on a shared line. So I said ok let's get to Verizon in silverdale. A really disheartening mistake. I won't mention the employees name straight out, but she was really unpleasant & unhelpful. I understand covid makes hands on things like phone purchasing difficult, but I'd also expect a sales person to pick up the slack on different models/prcies/plans because it is confusing to the average person who just wants to get in & get out. The vibe in there made the dmv feel comfy as well. Anyway the 25 min we spent wasting our breath with your sales "professional"(?), we left uneducated & empty handed. Verizon is NOT the company it has been in the past. For years, we've had outstanding customer service. This corporation isn't in synch. One department doesn't know anything that the other one is doing. This location wasn't helpful at all, even though we were directed to go there by customer service online, financial center and by another Verizon store. We tried to explain situation that has been occurring since June and were told they couldn't do anything and to call financial services. Financial services directs you to go to the corporate store which is where we were. We understand there are challenges with latest restrictions due to COVID-19. The wait was estimated to be over 2 hours but they have a great system of notifying when it is your turn. I was assigned Kevin and he was EXCELLENT! He was very informative and patient. I had told her I was there to pick up phones and have them help me transfer the information from my old phones to the new ones. She told me I could pick them up but they would not help me transfer the data from my old phones to my new phones I would have to make an appointment to have that done three days later. But before I could even make the appointment for someone in the door and she started talking to them before I could even get a word in edgewise about making an appointment. I asked her if I had bought the phones at the store that day which he make me wait three days to set up the phones she said no. I'd give zero stars if I could. I made an appointment on their website and got a text confirming the appointment. When I showed up I was told my appointment was for the next day despite the confirmation message clearly stating the appointment was for the current day and time. The manager refused to acknowledge my appointment and would not even look at my phone to read the confirmation message that would have proved him wrong. He basically told me that because his system said it was the next day he would not help me. He was very curt with me and I felt very disrespected as he was unapologetic for the entire situation. Went to the Verizon store at the trails this afternoon to ask why I should have to reapply for my veteran's discount. I mean once you have served, in the military you're always a military veteran. To me it's a Verizon scam to try and get veterans who do not jump thru the hoops to pay more. The customer service rep (haha) just got done turning an elderly woman that he could not help her with a billing question. He kept telling her to go online to deal with it. When I asked why he had to renew my military veteran status he said I needed to go online and sign into another app to fill in the form. No help at all. The next question I asked him was where is the T-Mobile office? After 20 years as a Verizon customer, I'm done! Went to the T-Mobile office and transferred my service for less money per month. I'm not going to lie, I regularly visit the store once a month to pay my phone bill. It gets me out of the house, and I usually eat at one of the food places in the Trails. A person always greets us; we always say the same thing - "we are here to pay our phone bill" - and the greeters usually reply courteously "ok, great" or "alright" or "ok, its in the back which I'm sure you know." One time, I asked a question regarding a temporary phone when visiting another country (i.e., France, Italy, Spain). The man kindly state, we could temporarily obtain international usage for a iphones with a limited time - and would save the cost on a temporary phone. This was great news, and he stated as we get closer to our date, come back and visit, and we will arrange the service. So as of right now, good start. read more

I've been in the market for a new phone for some time now, but just haven't had the time to go take care of it. As a lifelong Verizon customer, I've experienced less than stellar service at some locations, but I had to write a review after what happened yesterday. My partner and I have talked about getting on our own phone plan together so we went into the store to inquire about how much that would be, since we would both need new phones. As we walked through the door we were instantly greeted by an associate named Vanessa. She was, hands down, the best Verizon associate I have ever dealt with. Worst customer service experience ever! Ended up calling a Verizon 1-800 number from one of the in store phones on speakerphone to get any help. The in store associates were so incredibly rude and condescending. Highly recommend to avoid this store at all costs. Rude and unhelpful, and weren't even willing to listen to what the problem was. The front "gatekeeper" was more focused on telling everyone how "busy" they were and all the people that were waiting in front of us. One poor in store associate tried to answer a simple question and the gatekeeper came running over to tell us that we were cutting the line. I've never left a store so frustrated and angry. Oh and the reason they were so busy was so the gatekeeper could scroll her phone and not help anyone. read more

AVOID this store. Filed the following complaint to Verizon: This is a formal complaint about the corporate Silverdale Verizon store (11199 Pacific Crest PL NW, STE D129, SILVERDALE, WA, 98383; 360. 692.3057). My daughter and I went there to the store about 11 AM on July 22nd to pick up a phone (Order placed: 07/21/2020, Order Number: 2097355, Location Code: X474101) I had ordered for my daughter.  There was a sign out front saying "wait outside for a representative, which we did. Then we were told only one person could go into the store at a time and we had to choose which one of us.  I was confused because I was the account holder and it was replacing my daughter's phone and I know nothing about any of the passwords for her account that may be required.  I was told to come in as the account manager and did not need the phone that was being replaced. The store manager asked my name and phone number so he could get the phone.  Then he said I just sent a text with a link to a code I can scan on your phone.  I received the text and then selected the link that tried to connect to some Verizon site but was unsuccessful, it never displayed the QR code.  Then the manager said that is okay, I don't need it and handed me a bag with the phone in it.  I asked is the phone ready to go, he responded yes.  Having had problems activating a new phone I told my daughter to get it running while we are still in the parking lot. The activation came to a point where it wanted the account PIN.  I entered it, and got the message incorrect PIN.  I tried two more times and the phone locked with a message to call an 800 number.  I called and was told there was about a 43-minute wait time.  We waited a few minutes and then I took the phone back to the store front where I asked if I could get some help.  I said I was on hold with Verizon and asked if there was anything they could do.  The representative said NO, we would be on hold just like you. At that point I was getting very upset that they did not ensure the phone was operational before leaving the store and now had basically a dead phone.  Then I decided I am just going to return the phone, the same representative chimed out there is a $50 restocking fee.  I was now frustrated enough that I did not care about the restocking fee, but my daughter stopped me.  I then called the representative an A**H***, to which he responded, you know there is a coronavirus pandemic going on to which I responded with a Pssst.  Then he said "well if your phone isn't working tomorrow, you'll know why". We took the phone to a non-corporate Verizon store to see if they could help.  The gentleman said well we could just swap out SIM cards, you won't have 5G but there is none in this area anyway and you could work on getting the phone running with a 5G SIM card when you have the time.  We mentioned the problem we had at the corporate store to which he responded, yes, we've heard a lot of complaints about that store. To end this story, I got a call from a sheriff's deputy because the corporate store employee called them because he said I blew in his face.  The deputy said I'll write this up and give it to the prosecutor's office to see what they do with it.  By the way, this happened outside the store and he was wearing a mask.  Guess they should also wear face shields and gloves.  Besides I never saw any of them using their hand sanitizer they have for show. read more

I have waited 20 minutes in here without anyone helping me. I simply had a question about a cell phone. Once I was finally approached, my name was put on a list to wait for someone behind the counter. The person who put my name on the list couldn't answer any of my questions. He did, however, give me a brochure. There were already five people in line at each of the three lines. I left after another 10 minutes without ever being assisted. Decent but time consuming. We have had to go here for a few reasons every now and then. The greeter at the door can be annoying but at least they check you in so there is an order of who is next. You can sit on a little couch while you wait. Also in this location is a bill pay kiosk, we never use it but I see lots of people come in to use it. Everyone that works there will give you a boxed answer for what is wrong with your device, they really have no clue how to troubleshoot your issue any better than you do. The last time we were in there the guy actually made my husbands phone worse. You will get the same service from the comfort of your own home and calling in for technical support. read more

Very disappointed with the level of service. The guy who helped us had zero personality or the willingness to help answers our questions. We were loyal Sprint customers of 14 years, who had to leave Sprint for Verizon due to coverage issues @ our new property. I'm not sure how people can say Verizon has the best customer service because this actual Verizon store doesn't! Next time I'll visit their franchise stores or Costco before coming to a real Verizon store. read more
