I was an extremely satisfied customer with Verizon for over 20 years. Since moving to Savannah the customer service here is unprofessional, ill-trained and rude. After a mistake on their part signing me up for a service I neither got nor asked for....I thought I was rid of verizon and switched carriers. Now I find no one from store personnel to tech support can tell me what the break down of my final bill is! Unbelievable. I will be registering complaint eith FCC.​ read more

Almost anyone can attest that automation has made customer service not only ineffective, but non-existent. But my experience trying to get a replacement for my "dead" cell phone (still under warranty) showed that even IN-PERSON customer service is a nightmare. After shutting down my fully charged phone one night, I found it completely unresponsive the next day. Nothing I did would power it on successfully. So, I took it to the Verizon store where I had purchased the phone. Could they replace my phone with another from their stock? No, the representative had to call someone halfway around the world to order a replacement. And then once I received the replacement, I would need to ship my dead phone back to Verizon. The store could not accept the "deceased" phone. In a normal business, you return your defective product to the store where you bought it and you get a refund or a replacement in THAT store. Once the replacement phone was ordered I was told that I would receive the replacement (which would not even be a new phone, but rather a refurbished unit) on the next day (Friday) via FEDEX by 8 pm. The next day came and went. In fact, I did not receive the replacement phone until Monday after 4 pm. So, I was without a working phone for the entire weekend. On Sunday (coincidentally Easter Sunday), I decided to try to "resurrect" my dead phone one last time. I charged it again and after it reached just over 95%, I tried to power it on the same way I had unsuccessfully tried days earlier and the same way that the Verizon representative had also unsuccessfully attempted during my in-store visit. Remarkably, this time the phone DID successfully power on and has since then remained functional. That said, there was no reason to return my old phone or keep the refurbished replacement phone. Therefore I took the refurbished phone to a FedEx drop off location and waited 15 minutes for someone to accept my phone and agree to mark it as "refused, return to sender". If this happens again, do you think I will continue with my "service" from Verizon? read more

I have been a Verizon customer for many years and this location has the friendliest staff. However, Bruno stood out as I was seeking assistance upgrading my phone. I appreciate the time he took to explain the different promotions and actually "saved" me money by helping me select a cheaper phone to fit my needs. In addition, he modified my plan as I did not need as much monthly data. He provided excellent service as he showed me different features between iPhone and Android options. The store is recently renovated. On both occasions I visited during my lunch hour and did not have any wait. Another plus about this store. read more

I came into this location today with friends and was baffled at the customer service. I addressed my concerns calmly on my friends behalf to the man we were speaking to, as I work for a huge partner company of Verizon so I know how a lot of things work. He proceeded to tell me he wasn't dealing with me, that he will address only my friends. Wow. Then began to tell me that I was rude for talking over him but went ahead and spoke over me without a care in the world. The employees have balls for sure and apparently their managers don't care if they talk to customers this way. I'm happy to announce that I have talked my friends into switching carriers based on the last few experiences with this company. i'm sure if their employees continue to talk to customers this way this will become a pattern. read more

If you are a fan of customer service, do not come to this location. Rude. Rude. Rude. Rashad had the audacity to sit there and tell my friend that if she knows what she is talking about then he doesn't need to be talking. After I called him out and said "excuse me, this a customer you are talking to," he said "I don't care who she is, go ahead and write a bad review about me I don't care." We ended up calling somebody we know that used to work at Verizon and we were told that basically it's just one big "good ole boys club" and nobody will ever get in trouble for talking to you like that. This makes total sense considering this company lost my old phone before transferring all the stuff on my new phone, and they have been trying to get the old phone back for 4 months. They have been lying to me saying they are getting it back. I know they are lying because I talked to an ex manger and their policy is to delete the phones before they send them out, but I've been being told for 4 months now that they will get it back and put all the stuff on my phone. Oh by the way, I was also told you can get a lawyer but you will never win because they are a multi-million dollar company so basically they just get away with treating you like crap and screwing you over. I am changing providers as soon as I can. DO NOT use any of the retailers. Go to a corporate store if you actually want to stay with them, because corporate will actually try and fix your issue, or so I'm told. read more

Unpleasant and unhelpful experience. We were existing customers, and went in to ask about options for upgrading our phones. The rep was flippant, rude, and talked a lot without actually saying anything helpful. Didn't want to give us ACTUAL prices (with all fees, taxes, etc. included). Didn't explain options for upgrading. There were deals mentioned on their website that he never offered us. We kept having to drag information out of him, and never got anything we could use. read more

I went to the Verizon on Abercorn St. near the Walmart, with no appointment, and Daniel was EXCELLENT! He put up with a lot: I walked in without my account information, needing a new phone, and needing to call my old hometown house to see if my family had my information. It took for ever (on my end) and the entire time Daniel was patient and friendly, with great customer service. He talked me through all the phones, and I trusted his expertise.
