I unfortunately have to give this place 2 stars this time. I came to this location back in July and had a great experience. At that visit I spent a lot of money. Over $200! This time I received a coupon online 1 pose, with an ornament and a mug for $19.99. That was all I needed for the Christmas photos. 1 pose to send out to the family. Matt was our photographer again. Which was great. The photos he took in July were awesome. That's why we came back. Long story short. I stuck to my guns and only bought the 1 pose package. That seemed to upset my photographer. He made a few suggestions about purchasing more photos. I told him I have other things I want to spend my money on this year. His comment was " more important than pictures of your children? ". I said YES! I'm sorry, but I would rather spend money taking my children to see family that have never seen them. My children are 19 months and 4 months old. Those are the memories that are important to me. I can blow money on studio pictures anytime. I have 2 weeks off for Christmas and I want to see family. That is how I am spending my money this year. I felt it was a rude insensitive comment t make especially since I spent so much money the last time I was there. It's obvious I'm not cheap. The last time when I was spending a bunch of money Matt was all happy with no snide remarks. This time was different. Not appreciated. I was a district manager for Picture me portrait studio and Sears portrait studio. I really understand this business and the business platform. I recognize that coupons are just to get the people in the door and it's the photographers responsibility to take exceptional pictures so you will want to buy the entire store! But, there is always a session or two where you will only sell what's on sale. Photographers / sales personnel have to be ok with that and move on without being rude and tacky. This is a sensitive area. How the sale part of this goes determines how people feel about the overall experience. People will NOT come back if this is not handled appropriately. You are talking about people spending their hard earned money. Now, down to the price. The $19.99 package is really $40 . There were two gifts with this package and they charged $10 to process and ship each gift. I may possibly be back at the end of January for anniversary photos. We will see how I'm feeling. read more

Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess and she confirmed our appointment. Then after one hour & 15min we were finally up to take our pictures shortly after my husband got up to ask how long was the wait. The photographer was nice but of course she was rushing because we over heard her saying they were 45min behind schedule. The establishment is not what I'm use to when taking photographs. The space is wide open so everyone waiting to take pictures can see you taking them and there wasn't enough space for everyone waiting to take pictures to even sit down and wait. It was also hot in there. Prices are up there for a rushed photoshoot . You're better off finding someone with a good camera that will take your pictures at a local park at least you'd have all rights to the Pictures to make your own copies for as many as you like. Will not recommend or return. read more

I decided to take my husband and 9 month old here for their first Father's Day pictures. We don't normally use a photographer and I wanted this to be special, but not too expensive. I made an appointment the night before and we showed up for our appointment right as they opened. David was the only one in the store and he promptly set us up for our first set of shots with our son. David was absolutely amazing trying to get our tired and almost cranky child to smile and cooperate with taking pictures. Babies will be babies and our son wasn't taking the bait, but he was loving the attention and all of the flashing lights. We got a ton of amazing pictures of all three of us. We spent a little more than we planned, but considering it was our babies first photo shoot, it is definitely worth it. We have a CD with all of the pictures and that means so much to us. We will definitely be back for holiday pictures. read more

Y'all I usually don't do this but today we tried to get pictures made of the boys at Portrait Innovations at the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah. We called for an appointment but were told there were none available yet there were 3 available online! We made the appointment online, got a confirmation text, showed up and were told that since they had talked to us we may or may not get our portraits made. When we asked what was the use of online appts they told us that was thru corporate and it was just a tool used to get people in. Now, know we made the appointment directly with Savannah so...Both the manager and associate were very rude and condescending. Needless to say we left with NO pictures I DO NOT recommend them at all! read more

Professional staff, low quality cameras being used (you can take better photos on your iPhone or Android) OVER PRICED. They shoot about 20-60 photos. Prices start at $500. Once you eliminate the ones you don't want, the price goes down. They tell you how your getting a bunch of things for "free" but really you're paying for it. Taxes are $12, shipping is free but handling is $10. I wouldn't recommend anyways coming here. I guess you could ask for a CD of all the pictures, but I'm sure that would be $300. read more

At first we were told we needed an appointment but that changed. It was sisters portraits & it was being dreaded by 2 out of 3. Like was our photographer & he was good, nice & let us be us. It was a nice & fun session. A little expensive & not enough props but overall a great experience. read more

We have always used Portrait Innovations for our portrait needs. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. Their packages are not ridiculously priced, if you know how to budget. Their business is to obviously try to "sell up". They take about 60-70ish photos with different backgrounds and poses. For the quality of the photos and the free gifts offered in the current specials, the price is very affordable. We always get our son's school photos through another photo company that travels around to all of the schools. I was very disappointed with them for the Christmas photos, because not only were they not that good but they were extremely overpriced. This was our 3rd trip to Portrait Innovations. They got us in quickly and did an AWESOME job! We absolutely love Matt and his crew at Portrait Innovations in Savannah GA. read more

I don't know about all these bad reviews. My total was $102, with 6 poses printed, 2 bonus edits and a CD with all the photos. I also received a link to access my photos forever online. David was amazing he did very good with my 3 kids, even my 2 month old baby. I will be back for years to come to have David take my family photos. He was amazing and kept the price in my price range. I told him $100 and I spent $102 and that's perfectly fine with me. read more

Worst Service ever! The wait was 2 hours with an appointment and being put off twice. They don't print in a big size, the CD's are $300! This is the most ridiculous, expensive, horrible service picture place I have ever been too! read more

Went in for fall/winter FAMILY pictures and the photographer took 4 family photos and 56 photos of my 6 month old. It was hotter than hell. Packages were ridiculously priced. The backgrounds used were a green park, black, white and fall. While fall was wanted fall is also almost over.. Not impressed and won't be going back. So much for capturing the family. read more

This is not my first time going to Portrait Innovations in Savannah I have always been pleased but this time Matt really went above and beyond. He is wonderful with little kids we had a three old and a 7 old and he certainly got the best out of boththem. Can't imagine going anywhere else. Great value for your dollar. read more

I have to say that I'm not very impressed with this company's customer service, and will not be utilizing them in the future. My daughter called them to see if walk-ins were accepted, and at what time they took their last clients of the day. She was told that walk-ins were okay, as long as we made it there before 5:45. Upon our arrival at 4:30, we were told that they couldn't accommodate us without an appointment. When my daughter told the man what we had been told by their female receptionist, and that we had driven over an hour to get here, he neither said he was sorry, nor did he offer an appointment on a different day. This was extremely poor customer service. As long as there was one woman on duty who could have answered the phone and given my daughter that information, efforts should have been made to work something out. Now they've lost customers for life. As we never got to utilize their services, I cannot rate their photographic skills. Their customer service, however, gets two stars. read more
