I've been coming here for years for all my 35mm film processing needs. Excellent store with personal service at reasonable prices. Top-notch photo quality and camera expertise - highly recommend! read more

I went to have an old document scanned and printed close to the original as possible. Full frame with a border for matting. What I got back was a washed out cropped print. I asked for another print closer to the original with the edges intact with a 1/4 in boarder. What I got back was the same over exposed washed out scan with the same crop printed slightly smaller with a 1/4 inch boarder. This is not a professional grade lab. Maybe great for passport photos but not a place for getting nuances. They actually referred me to Walmart. read more

Get your reasonably priced, $8.00, passport photos at Bay Camera! They know what they're doing! Darryl was incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient this Saturday morning with my passport photo retake! Bay Camera will place your passport photos in a booklet with additional, helpful information on the inside cover. Bay Camera employees understand the specific photo size requirement needed to submit with your application. Additionally, the $8.00 fee is half the price some local drugstore chains are charging. read more

They do excellent work. They're the one a few camera companies in the Savannah area. They will take your VHS tapes and make them into DVDs. They're professional great staff and I wouldn't go anywhere else.. read more

Love that all the staff wears masks and properly mandates that throughout the store. They take proper protocols for disinfecting highly used areas. And for a small business amongst a pandemic they are still giving amazing customer service, as well as affordable prices! Love them! read more

I moved out of Savannah in 2008, but 12 years later, I still mail my film back to Bay Camera! I've lived in several different states since then, but have not been able to find a local film store that has the consistency and attention to detail in their prints and development process. 120, 220, and 35 scans are always crisp and high quality. For any prints I've requested, the color is always spot on. They have great used gear that's always way better quality than anything I can find online, and fairly priced. read more

This place is great! Super fast turn around for my disposable camera film development. Everything turns out perfectly! :) Thank you so much!

I couldn't be more of thrilled with Bay Camera. I stayed here with family and bought and dropped in film. Both being very cheap. I cannot believe how high quality their work is and their products. Everything from the cameras to the services themselves. Every time I'm in the area I'm using Bay Camera. If you're looking to develop your film trust these people. Not to forget their custom service, it's outstanding. I really couldn't not be more pleased with my experience. Go with Bay Camera they are the best ones around. read more

The staff have Always have been very kind and helpful. They have a Very quick turnaround with film photography. All of my experiences here have been great and I've been using them consistently for the last two years. Love this place read more

Very rude & unprofessional. Items are priced higher then they are worth. The prices for developing film & scans fluctuate depending on whose ringing you up & the prices are always higher. I will never be returning. read more

I love Bay Camera! Professional, nice, and helpful. Plus they are the only Camera Company around that transfers slides to photos. They carry stuff nobody else carries. They are my favorite company in Savannah and I'm from Savannah! Best of the Best!!!!!!! Yea for Bay Camera! read more

This place deserves 100 stars. If you shoot film nowadays you know that there AREN'T places that do one hour processing PERIOD. The turn around and price is the reason I use this place from my local lab here in Charleston. Those people who give this place a bad review don't realize how rare this place is, and they have a pretty sweet little "camera museum" too. Props to Bat Camera read more

every single time this place damages my negatives. same scratches in the exact spot from different cameras. they run a dirty minilab and never clean the rollers. The scratches are on the emulsion (it's not my pressure plate) and I've seen them sleeving negatives in the back, the lab tech is fast and rough and there are ALWAYS weird microscratches in every direction from their sleeving process. this has been going on for months. they also always flash the last couple frames on 120. do not trust them with negatives read more

I say this with sadness since Bay is a local business, I do not recommend at all. They have been abrasive and unwelcoming to customers coming into the store. There's never a good atmosphere. Just now, they lied to my face about raising the prices of their film stock when I had bought the same film here only 2 weeks ago. I have the receipt to show it's a $4 mark up. Ridiculous when i perceived this place as a haven to photo students. It seems most local camera stores are becoming jaded and I wish I could contribute to a local photography space, but with bad customer service and inconsistent quality in film scans, I won't be coming back and recommend finding somewhere else. read more

This is a great place to come if you're like me and like the old way of getting your pictures developed. As they told there's a difference in the way for pictures look on your phone or computer and their computer screens . So with that said there's here who'll make all the necessary changes to your photos to make sure they come put looking the way you want them. The reason they get four stars is their on the phone customer service doesn't match their in- person customer service . read more

Went in to buy a tripod for a project. It was labeled $110. but the owner charge me $230... and on Amazon it's $150. Also there's no refunds.... if you have time just shop Amazon the prices are way lower!!!! read more

Bay Camera has been my go-to camera shop in town since moving here years back. The owners are so helpful, knowledgable, and friendly! They know me when I come in the door and greet me so warmly. I've used them for prints in varying sizes, up to 30" x 30", in 35mm and 120mm. Exquisite results. I've also purchased batteries, cameras, and equipment from them and sold my used equipment through them for consignment. I've always been happy with the results and love that there is a local shop that I can feel at home visiting that delivers top quality results of my work. read more

Wanted to get a 85mm or 50mm lens for portraits and the lady was so helpful. I'm an amateur photographer just looking to shoot pictures of my family so I went with the 50. Anyways I didn't feel rushed and the lady even answered some of my questions that I had about shutter speed and ISO. They didn't seem to have a large inventory of camera equipment but they obviously had what I needed so it worked out! I would definitely recommend. read more

The store hours don't seem completely unreasonable at first glance, however whenever I try to go there it's closed when it should be open! In the middle of the day, doors are locked even though store hours say it should be open. Needed something last minute another time and got there 10 minutes before they were supposed to close, again the doors were locked. I have only successfully made it into this store 1 time, and that was 2 years ago! read more

I love this place! I shoot almost exclusively in black and white film, an it's amazing to have a place so close to my college that will develop negatives (unlike CVS which gives you a disc instead) They're also decently priced and have a wide rang of items for all types of photography read more

The staff at Bay Camera are both courteous and helpful. The quality of their printing is excellent and their recommendations regarding photo equipment have been very helpful. They always take the time to ensure that they have answered any questions or concerns I have when making any purchase whether it is a role of film or a new DSLR. read more

Out of convenience, I have used this camera store for small items now and then. Staff has been friendly and helpful. A couple days ago, however I went while each of two staff was engaged in conversation with customers. Neither of them looked at me. I stood there and waited. They kept talking. After five minutes, I walked out. Today I called and spoke to the owner. I relayed the incident to her (she may have been one of the principles). She said, "If the staff was engaged with a customer, it would be rude to break the conversation and address your need." I said, "Oh really? it would be rude for one of them to tell their customers, "Excuse me for a second." "Sir, one of us will be with you shortly." ???? THE OWNER CONDONES STAFF IGNORING CUSTOMERS WHO HAPPEN TO WANDER INTO THE STORE WHEN THEY ARE ENGAGED. Apparently this little 'gold mine' doesn't need my few dollars here and there. I went back into my vehicle and placed my order on a popular online seller at a lower cost and with free shipping. I can wait two days. read more
