It acts as a legal and visual boundary to deter unwanted visitors. While some solicitors (e.g., political or religious groups) may be exempt based on local laws, the sign generally empowers homeowners to report violators. I'm sure the woman the comments is not interested in switching providers. If opting out of marketing requires becoming a customer, just keep recycling the flyers. Seems like questionable policy to have. If I was her I would contact corporate to have address removed. Off to a Rough Start - Disappointed with Installation Experience I had an installation scheduled for today and received multiple reminders via text and email to ensure I'd be available. I rearranged my entire day, even lost income to make sure I was home. Then, just an hour before the appointment, I get a call saying there's a problem and they can't complete the install. No apology--just a casual "what's the next day you're available?" Here's the kicker: I was originally scheduled for two days from now, but they asked to move it up to today to help them out. Now, they can't fit me in for weeks. So not only did I adjust my schedule for them, they completely dropped the ball--and showed no remorse. Thankfully, Spectrum is fine with a later disconnection, so that's some relief. I plan to share updates over the next few months so others can get a full picture of the service experience. So far, the sales team has been great--but the installation, dispatch, and customer service side? Not impressed at all. If I had to title this experience: "They Already Dropped the Ball?!" Clearwave Fiber bought out our locally owned fiber company in Baldwin City, KS a few years back. We had great service for the last five years, though it was definitely on the pricey side. A competitor came through offering faster speeds and lower rates, so we decided to switch. When I tried to cancel our service, I was met with a high-pressure sales rep who refused to accept the cancellation. She kept saying she was "confused" and claimed she had solved my pricing issue--completely ignoring my request to cancel. Our router was disconnected on Monday the 28th, but because I wasn't able to cancel online it took me a couple of days to call in, I was charged for an extra month of service we didn't use. Honesty I would give them a 5 star on services, the customer services I received today wiped all respect for this company. I have the reps name if any member of management would like to call and discuss this my number is 913-216-4697. After reading other reviews with similar experiences, I doubt this will change anything--but I hope someone sees this and thinks twice before choosing Clearwave Fiber. read more

Got their 1GB service, provides good speed and reliability. Pricing is a bit higher than the competition but close enough I am okay with it.

Absolute worst customer service. Called to get wifi installed, was told it was available in our area, technician came out and drilled into the wall, then was told to await a call from someone as they were unsure if they could install. Clearwave is a whole install/contract situation that dug up my street and yard when it first came to the area. I am not impressed so far... Skip to 17 days later and we have connection issues, buffering, dropped service, and kick-outs when the service drops. I do not recommend Clearwave Fiber, as it is INCONSISTENT IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY. My T-Mobile wifi tower runs my household's 2dozen devices with no problems at ($30/mo) a fraction of that price, with RELIABLE customer support. Clearwave is bogus. Gamers beware. read more

I switched from Xfinity to clearwave for better speed and synchronous connection. The cost is half and the consistency is so much better. Installation was quite good. Once I received my first bill after installation, I noticed a major discrepancy, that the bill was over 50% higher than what I was informed on the phone of. I was promised by the representative there are no hidden fees or upfront charges, yet here I am being billed for installation fees that were supposedly non-existent. Furthermore, I was promised by the installation technician that a team would come out in approximately a weeks time to bury the cable and it has been over two weeks since the installation, and still the cable is above ground. I am highly considering of dropping there services because of this unethical practice they are showing. Don't make promise with your mouth that your @$$ can't cash. read more

I purchased my own upgraded equipment and since May I have been requesting an address to return theirs. They say I no longer have the legal right to speak to them on the account as it has been transferred to the new owner. PLEASE do not deploy Clearwave as your Internet Provider. Their service is NOT compatible with remote workstations/workers. Their technicians are NOT qualified and they proved it by disconnecting my entire workstation, down to the printer. I could not get dial tone and I disconnected Clearwave service three days after the install. I never even cut-over from Cox because of all the trouble causing me to reconfigure my entire workstation. Now they are trying to charge $106 and claimed they would have repaired the issues if I would have given them more than 3 days to resolve. I COULD NOT HAVE WORK if I stayed with Clearwave. Their customer service is non-responsive, curt and unwilling to resolve issues that are beyond their job description. I encourage you to go with Cox Communications. read more

Clearwave is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They were the only wifi provider in our apartment complex, and if I could go back and do it all again, I would buy a wifi hotspot to avoid using Clearwave. When we called to initiate service, they sent equipment to us before our start date and before we even had access to our mailbox, and began charging us for the highest level of service when we had asked them for the middle grade. When we initiated service they told my husband there were 30 days grace for late payments before disconnection. We were 2 days late and got disconnected, along with a $50 disconnection fee. I enrolled in autopay to avoid that ever happening again. For the next 3 months I proceeded to get $5 "late fees" added to my bills even though autopay was on. I called to cancel our service at 5:45p one evening, knowing they stop answering phones at 6:00p. They said it would be a 5 min wait. 1 hour later on hold, I hung up and called back to find out they were closed for the day. They all left the office while customers were still on hold. I finally cancelled my service. They said they would mail me a box and label to return the equipment. 2 weeks later, no box. I call again and she says no, it's an emailed label. I ask her to please send the label I requested 2 weeks ago, and ask about a box. She says if I bring that label to Fedex, they will provide the label, box, and all shipping services. I get to Fedex and show them the label Clearwave sent. They say they do not provide the box (which I was pretty sure they didn't!) and that Clearwave had sent me a label that had ALREADY BEEN USED. The saga continues. Even ending service is a nightmare. Do NOT use Clearwave. read more

I work remotely as a software engineer. This is much faster than Xfinity. I regularly have to download large files for work, and they load much faster than they would with cable. To the people who are saying that it is slower than Xfinity, Cable is inherently slower than Fiber Optics. Just like DSL is slower than Cable. If it is slower for them, their networking equipment is to blame. Download and upload speeds are symmetrical. So if you pay $50 for 250 Mbps, you get 250 Mbps for downloads and uploads. With Xfinity, the max you would get for uploads is 20 Mbps. I am paying for 1 Gbps up and down. My townhome is wired with an Ethernet port upstairs and downstairs. I bought a business router that doesn't have WiFi and put that in the patch panel. I plugged a switch to the ports upstairs and downstairs. There is a Wireless Access Point upstairs and downstairs. And my office upstairs is wired. I'm getting over 900 Mbps up and down on the wired connection. Wireless clients are getting around 500 Mbps up and down. I had a Google WiFi Mesh Router before this. I didn't have the access point hard wired. Upstairs where the router used to be plugged in, I was getting maybe 300 Mbps. Downstairs it was generally between 100 and 200 Mbps. I bought a TP-Link ER-605 router. Putting that in the patch panel allowed me to use both of my Ethernet ports (by plugging them into the router). The WAPs I bought are two TP-Link TL-WA 3001 access points. read more

I have had Clearwave for 3 months, and they bill you for total other charges and fees that they put on your bill with no explanation. I had to pay $50 to reconnect my service when their system took forever to process my payment and I ended up disconnected. Their billing system is trash. I don't recommend them!!! read more

If you decided to get Clearwave Fiber service, be aware that you're not required to sign contract. But also make sure to cancel your contract before the end of billing cycle. Awful customer service. They do not on weekends and we had issues that we could not resolve. Initially they send a tech that does not speak English but was able to figure how to ask us to poop in our bathroom and we were like REALLY????? After 10 days we cancelled our service because we would have to stream 3 different apps to see our local and favorite channels and still got charged even though they initially stated try for free first month but we were done within a week. read more

I was required by our complex to set up internet through Clearwave who apparently originally laid the fiber optic cable in the apartments. The internet was not laid correctly and took us over a week to have someone come out and properly install. The outlet did not even have a wire connected to it. Most recently this is the only internet provider I have had where an internet outage took over 3 days to fix, and then they charge us full price for service. Outages are understandable but almost 4 full days is excessive and we never received any notice from Clearwave about this. As soon as I move I will be switching back to Xfinity. read more

I discontinued service with this company in September, 2024, returning their modem with much difficulty with the shipping arrangement they had made. They bill me every month , increasing amounts for the modem, which they clearly know and acknowlege every month they have received back from me when I call them about this phony bill. This company recently purchased/took over Hargray (also terrible) and since then it's been issue after issue. They recently came and upgraded our router free of charge and the internet has been nothing but spotty - if it works at all. The only reason we use this company is because it's required at the complex we live at. If given an option - stay away from this internet company. If you try going to their website, there is nothing about troubleshooting. If you login into your account, there is nothing about setting up service appointments. It's like finding a pot of gold when you finally find a person who can help you with anything - BUT they make it very easy to upgrade your services of course. Unbelievable. read more

Was trying to become a customer. Can't get anywhere to talk to a human. Tried to select plans myself on their website. They have great descriptions on their website of what you "get for free", but then you have to select options that negate what they said was free. Doesn't appear to be a good value if you have to pay extra to have wifi with your internet in 2024. I'm sure that all internet companies do it, but they don't tell me it's free then I have to select a router for an extra $10 per month. Again - I'd like to talk to a human, but I'm having trouble getting through to be a new customer. Afraid of what would happen after signing up. read more

Like many other reviewers, I only have clearwave because it's required at my apartment complex. I can't wait to move out. When they first installed my wifi, it was a month long wait. Way overpriced for terrible connection and service. Wifi has been out for at least 9 hours today and all they can say is "we have technicians working on it". No time estimate. Also, about a month or so ago they forgot to take their discount off when it ended. They charged me for it the next month. Ridiculous, it is not the customers job to pay for the companies mistakes. This company bought Hargray cable & has the WORST SERVICE!! I've had to schedule 3x to have them come out because they simply never show up?! So many excuses! Just get Xfinity instead. This wifi is extremely spotty and expensive. If you have a MacBook and need to use it for important meetings and ect. I advise you to stay clear of this company. I have been needing to use my hotspot for the past month to actually get things done. When connected to this wifi, it likes to disconnect and connect. Xfinity is $20 cheaper and yet works better for the same amount of mbps. The apartment complex I reside at, recommended Clearwave and I see that this is a mistake. I wanted to trust this company and get my money's worth but oh well. It would be lovely if I could get a refund because this was a waste. read more
