    This is a speed test run on a wired connection.

    I work remotely as a software engineer. This is much faster than Xfinity. I regularly have to download large files for work, and they load much faster than they would with cable. To the people who are saying that it is slower than Xfinity, Cable is inherently slower than Fiber Optics. Just like DSL is slower than Cable. If it is slower for them, their networking equipment is to blame. Download and upload speeds are symmetrical. So if you pay $50 for 250 Mbps, you get 250 Mbps for downloads and uploads. With Xfinity, the max you would get for uploads is 20 Mbps. I am paying for 1 Gbps up and down. My townhome is wired with an Ethernet port upstairs and downstairs. I bought a business router that doesn't have WiFi and put that in the patch panel. I plugged a switch to the ports upstairs and downstairs. There is a Wireless Access Point upstairs and downstairs. And my office upstairs is wired. I'm getting over 900 Mbps up and down on the wired connection. Wireless clients are getting around 500 Mbps up and down. I had a Google WiFi Mesh Router before this. I didn't have the access point hard wired. Upstairs where the router used to be plugged in, I was getting maybe 300 Mbps. Downstairs it was generally between 100 and 200 Mbps. I bought a TP-Link ER-605 router. Putting that in the patch panel allowed me to use both of my Ethernet ports (by plugging them into the router). The WAPs I bought are two TP-Link TL-WA 3001 access points.

    Got their 1GB service, provides good speed and reliability. Pricing is a bit higher than the competition but close enough I am okay with it.

Went back in they said oops too late you can't return it. The rep acted like I was trying to be slick and getting a new watch! He was like "it's used you can't switch it". Now I'm stuck with the most expensive watch that I never wanted and I can't exchange it! I can't even sell it as I owe more than it's worth. Don't go to this location. They give Verizon a bad rap. I do not recommend getting an Apple Watch from Verizon and especially not from this location.

    We appreciate the help that the recent technician supplied. It's not his fault I'm giving xfinity…read moresuch a bad rating. We bought our house 4 1/2 years ago. And since then the internet went out twice due to the cable being ripped off the side of our house. We work from home and need the internet to run our online business every day. Giant trucks ripped the cable down both times , and this could have been avoided if the cable had been installed properly. Also, if anyone including us was anywhere near that cable when it was violently ripped from our house, causing structural damage to the exterior of our home, The cable could also have caused major injury or death by be heading to us or random neighbor children. It was hung too low and when the technicians arrived the TWO other times this happened, we insisted it be hung higher above the street, and also at the same time the cable needed to be buried under ground near the house as well. But the people who installed it were lazy and ignorant and gave us attitude and refused to do their job correctly. TWICE Finally this third time, We were not able to run our business for weeks and had to call xfinity every day for half a month. They ignored us, then sent a technician that told us our order was marked closed And we told them to open it and do their job. They finally started taking us seriously because we found the corporate number. And threatened to take legal action.
