One of the best customer service experiences I ever had. I was traveling, my Samsung S6 broke, I…read morewas desperate to get it fixed and get back on the road. The minute I got there the owner (Winnie?) stopped what she was doing and opened the phone for inspection on the spot in front of me. She even offered to provide repair parts from another 'donor' phone she had on hand in the interests of completing the repair while I waited. I know what a highly skilled technician looks like, as I am in the car dealer auto repair business 30 years and have had many master technicians work for me. Winnie has amazing technical skills as well as empathy and provides old school customer service. She diagnosed the problem, unfortunately the phone was fried and not repairable. She refused to charge me for the time she spent (30 mins) disassembling, testing, and putting the phone back together. I was so impressed with the entire experience that the next time I need a device repaired I will ship it from California to iRepair rather than take it to a local shop in my home town because I now know that no one could ever come close to the skills, honesty, integrity, abilities, and prices, all done with a smile. Nobody does it better, THANKS iRepair!!

I went to cancel my account today as we have changed to another (better) internet provider. I was…read moretold that we have an old account and our pricing went down to $49.95 over a year ago, we have been paying $122. That scam is enough to cancel to begin with. They are stealing $70 a month just because they can. I will NEVER use spectrum or their services again.

Catastrophic failure at every turn. I've used Spectrum…read moreinternet and voice for my business for 7 years now. On Wednesday I had to sign up for Ring Central as they are taking away their automated assistant service. Upon them migrating my account, I lost internet to my business (it's a restaurant, we depend on internet to function). Customer care told me my modem was outdated and that there wasn't any internet output. Soonest they could replace it was the next day. The next day, a technician comes out and replaces my Dual WAN modem with one, single WAN modem. So my point of sale is connected but no wifi is available because the router is not connected to a modem... The technician literally unplugged cables and did not think that they would need to be reconnected. I call and explain I need another modem, I need two separate IP addresses to remain CPI compliant. Another technician comes out that night to install another modem but whoever created the work order forgot to include the modem activation code! I spent several more hours on the phone and was told nobody could supply that code even though the technician was in the building with the modem I needed. So they said they would send someone back out tomorrow. Now because I am on the west coast and who I was speaking to was on the east coast, it was already past midnight, so they made the appointment for a day later than MY tomorrow. Finally I get ahold of someone to escalate a second modem installation. The modem gets installed but it is faulty AND MY BUSINESS STILL DOES NOT HAVE INTERNET. A 2 day fiasco, miscommunication and flagrant incompetence on Spectrum's behalf. Over 10 hours on my behalf on the phone just trying to get my restaurant functioning again. Absolutely ridiculous, I am cancelling service as soon as I am possibly able to. My rage has fizzled into severe dissapointment. On principle I will also be canceling my home service. "Dropping the ball" doesn't even begin to cover my experience. I'd give 0 out of 5 stars but that's not an option.

All you need to know is what these Yelp reviews make so painfully obvious. 68 reviews and 52 (now…read more53...) of them are 1 STAR. I've been with them for over 30 yrs and if you don't "bundle" they will screw you as badly as they can. NO MAS! I've had it with these vultures... Now that we have Ziply, AT&T 5G and Starlink these clowns at Spectrum think they can still gouge you... I talked with their "Customer Service" and asked them if they could lower my bill to be at least somewhat competitive. They said they could drop it $5/month. Tried this a number of times in the past and they would drop it $5 but it would go back up in just a couple of months. So disingenuous!... I asked them as a customer for over 30 yrs. if they could help me out. Her response was "being a long standing customer has no impact on what we charge"... then she quickly rephrased it to "it isn't like we don't care about a long term customer... this is just our rate structure" regardless of how long you've been a customer. Now, I have a choice between AT&T (for a 350 Mb stream) or Starlink for about $65 for a somewhat faster one, or wait for Ziply to come to my neighborhood for about $30/month for a gigabit stream. I don't know who runs Spectrum, but whoever it is, has clearly given up on the pedestrian person's support. So... I am almost giddy about finally being able to tell Spectrum to take their service and stick it where the proverbial sun doesn't shine. You've lost a customer for life.

Update for internet services. Spectrum iNET (formerly…read moreCharter Comm) One thing I often fail to do is update old reviews and note improvement etc. That's not very fair for the businesses. Changes are good in the last 2 years. Pros: + Moved from 80% up time to 99% up time and I only reboot for refresh not out of necessity. + Phone customer service is quick compared to a few years ago and through the "plandemic". + I have the highest contracted speed for my home area and it's plenty fast for all my needs. We are a heavy bandwidth household. Cons: - If you're not intermediate tech savvy, they're scripted solutions for problems can cost you unnecessary time and money. - Buy and use your own equipment! Always split the modem from the router and own both. Their combo free lease equipment solutions are not best. - Cost is high compared to some red state markets but low compared to the gouging in places like Cali.
