Choose Three Corners Verizon New Windsor Do not shop at the Route 300 Store! My 85-year-old mother went to Verizon on Route 300 in Newburgh to address a landline issue that required in-person attention. The young man at the Route 300 Store lied to her and told her they were not a corporate store, which was not truthful. He told her this because he was not interested in helping her with a matter that would not make a commission. I believe the employees are salaried as it is a corporate store. The young man who worked there told us that we had to go to the Five Corners location in New Windsor, NY, because, according to him, they were a corporate store that dealt with those matters. The young man with orange-yellow hair, whose name I wish I knew, sent her to a non-corporate store to pawn us off. It was 100 degrees, and my mother had a hard time getting in and out of the car because of the heat. What he did was awful, mean, and malicious. I will be going to the manager later and calling Verizon to lodge a formal complaint. On the other hand, the New Windsor Store was the complete opposite Geoffrey Menda a sales associate at the New Windsor Store, was so helpful and wonderful in assisting to resolve a landline issue for my 85-year-old mother. He went above and beyond to resolve my mother's issue, which was challenging. He was professional and so kind, I would recommend him to anyone who wants to purchase a Verizon phone and plan. Customer beware - this is not a "real" Verizon store. The storefront is misleading and appears to be an actual Verizon store, which is likely designed to bait in customers. However, as the Yelp business title states, this is an independent store which is only an authorized retailer. Based on the storefront, I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon believing this was a real Verizon store to adjust something on my Verizon account. I quickly learned this was bait and the store is called Cellular Sales. I should've checked Yelp first. There was only one female customer in the store. I overheard a male salesman continuously pressuring and badgering her to sign up for something that sounded like a gimmick. She stood her ground and finally walked out when he wouldn't take no for an answer. The employee who assisted me was professional. However, at no fault of his, he could only access my account by me using his computer to logon to my Verizon Online Account page, no differently than if I was at home doing it from my PC. Most Verizon stores can access your account without you needing to logon to the Verizon webpage. The only reason this store deserves 2 stars is because I was initially impressed when I walked in the door. The employees appeared professional and were dressed in suits and ties, and the store looked modern and clean. My phone was not working early in the morning, the screen was frozen on the power off/ emergency sos screen for a while. It then changed to my home screen but my touch screen was not responding or working. Since I was already heading out and this Verizon was located close to me, I decided to go there to get some simple input as to what I could do since I could not search anything up myself. I will say they were very fast with their service but very pushy. I did not catch the worker's name who helped but the second I walked in, he came up to me and barely let me speak and walked me straight to his table. He was nice at first but again did not let me explain that I would just like some input. He kept speaking over me and took over the phone when I just wanted to show him what was going on. To begin with, my phone would not let me reboot, restart, or etc for hours. Of course when we get there it had decided to work for the worker. I was very grateful for it to have been fixed and thanked him greatly. But he did not say he was welcome at all, immediately he had said, "just so you're aware, I do work off of commission. So now I am at the bottom of the list..." Basically to me, that was implying that this was a waste of his time but yet again, I do not appreciate how he was so quick to try and make sales off of me rather than simply waiting and listening for 3 more seconds for me to explain that all I'd like was input. The salesman at this store are very aggressive to get you sign up without telling you the real costs of switching and getting a new phone. My salesman skipped telling me I had to pay $300 in taxes and a $70 activation fee. I was going to switch to Verizon but after my very pushy salesman I'll go somewhere else. read more

Received a new phone a couple of days ago & needed assistance in updating my data, Jamaal one of the Verizon tech was very knowledgeable and friendly,he walked me through the entire procedure and explained every step. He was so helpful he even persuaded my wife who is a retired Verizon employee to purchase a upgraded phone. We haven't purchased a phone I a while but Jamaal made a good experience. Very disappointed as a FiOS customer I was offered many offers from Verizon to switch my mobile service from my present provider to them what I got was not a savings, but just the opposite my plan is now more expensive than the plan I had with AT&T, I have spent hours on the phone with customer service to rectify some of the misleading and untrue statements from the store sales rep WILL....... I traded in 3 phones to get the free new phone offer only to discover that the trade in is just a partial credit and then a rebate for VERIZON STORE use only not a gift card...... you must apply for the rebate at a specific web link that I discovered only after calling customer service, only 2 of my 3 phones were verified as turned in, the customer service rep called the store to inquire about the phone and miraculously the phone was logged in after / during the inquiry.....In my opinion the sales rep deliberately mislead me and made many representations that were untrue that cost a lot more than it's worth, I switched from AT&T to save money and had to work through hours of time on the phone calling customer service to get what was promised in the store and was not completely successful but because I kept all the written offers I was able to negotiate a deal I could live with...... The reviews for this store are scary!! And to be honest, two years ago i might have wrote a similar one. But today i was really pleasantly surprised with everything. I had a bad experience upgrading my phone here two years ago, and was going to go to the real verizon store in newburgh today, but was scared that it would be very busy (early saturday afternoon) and they dont have as many people staffed as they do here. So lets start with this - thomas was a dream!!! Very personable, so easy to work with, and kept us laughing the entire time. Another salesman at the store - phillip - was so fun to talk to also. Although it's not a 'Verizon wireless' store ; it's still a Verizon authorized business.. while the difference could be I guess different for some.. it wasn't for me. I was in major need of a new phone. The previous post states the customer had to long into his Verizon account for the salesmen.. that was not the case for me. Everything was run just as if I were in a Verizon store. Being a Verizon customer for over 10+ years this was by far the most easy and fast moving Verizon around. Lots of people on staff I waited no longer than 5 minutes for someone to help me. Even if Verizon doesn't give a warranty apple does. I would say I would prefer a non Verizon store. Itwas a lot smoother than actually dealing with Verizon as they are on my last nerve to begin with. read more

I have been a customer of Verizon for over 20 years as well as my kids and family; until now!!! I bought a phone on October 2nd and have had issues since. First, my data was not entirely copied over so I went back in the store to do so. Since that day, I had issues answering the phone, turning it off/on or viewing everything intermittently. I brought it back this morning and spoke to Tyler, then Mike Mobilio (Manager); and left totally dissatisfied. I wanted to exchange my phone (8 days old) for another phone, yet they told me that all they did was put in an insurance claim, whereas I was getting a refurbished phone which I did not trust/like at this time. I offered to buy another phone outright, but they refused. Mike had called Tim Blackburn (District Manager) and he refused to give me an option. They said that the screen had a crack, but I had a cover (front and back), so I told them that it may have happened when they took my phone in the back room to copy my data last Saturday. I never dropped my phone, nor have I ever returned a phone all these years. I am calling Corporate to speak to the management team as well as Customer Service. My phone will be eligible to move to a different provider in 60 days and I will be doing so. I will also be informing my family and friends as to the way I was treated so they will avoid this and move to another provider. I am retired and on a limited income, but I still don't appreciate or deserve this condescending treatment.
