TL;DR take your business to any of the real Verizon stores. These people know nothing about customer service. I first tried to visit this Verizon location on my lunch break to inquire about upgrading my damaged iPhone. I arrived at 12:05 and there was a note written on the door that they were on break until 1:15. The store had only been open 2 hours at this point, and I'm not sure why they would close when people are likely to visit during their lunch hours. Reluctantly, I returned after work to try my luck again. Honestly, I wish there'd been another note on the door. I waited 20 minutes and was never even acknowledged. Not a wave or a smile or a "be with you as soon as I can." The one person working had no sense of urgency. The man ahead of me in line eventually left (which gave me a little hope I might be seen) but then returned 10 minutes later. I finally gave up when the sales associate and the person he was assisting were showing each other pictures back and forth on their phones. She must have had a great experience. Myself and the other man waiting did not. I am so unbelievably frustrated that I spent so much of my day trying to give money to a business that is very clearly incapable of helping me. I drove to my regular store on Charlotte and was greeted immediately but had to make an appointment for tomorrow because I'd wasted so much time at the West End location. It's also worth mentioning that this is an authorized retailer and not an actual Verizon storefront. I understand the economy is what it is and people are struggling to maintain a staff. Maybe this employee isn't paid enough to care. And if this was the owner, he should sell this franchise to someone else because he knows absolutely nothing about customer service. Verizon should be ashamed to put its name behind this business. I will not be returning. It's clear the only reason they have the new iPhones in stock is because they have no clue how (or will) to help people purchase them. read more

Verizon as a company overall has absolutely terrible customer service, including their retail stores. I went on my lunch break to dispute a charge on my bill and I waited for 20 minutes. When one of the employees was done he was chit chatting and laughing with the team and was about to leave, when another employee said, "Oh you're going to leave when you didn't even ask this guest if they needed help." At this point I was frustrated and going to be late to work if I waited any longer. I just said, "don't worry about it , I've waited too damn long for your help." Since the employee was halfway out the door, I tried leaving the closed door AND IT WAS LOCKED, which is strictly against fire code to have any entries into a business to be locked during operational hours. I've worked I customer service for 12 years, and if any of my employees acted the all way ALL of the employees did in front of guests, they would be disciplined. Each time I have to interact with any Verizon representative, I'm left frustrated and angry. Clearly Verizon only sees their customers as $$ rather than human beings. I truly would leave zero stars if I could. I went to the West End location and was "helped" by a young blonde woman who was visibly disinterested and judgmental. I told her my issue but she was clearly not listening. She kept asking if I was with Verizon or if I was a prepaid customer, even after I showed her my bill on my Verizon app. Then she put in the wrong PIN number twice after I gave her the correct one (if we tried again, I would have been locked out my account for 24 hours), then said my number wasn't in the system -- even though I just got an official text and email sent to me. It was becoming very clear she did not want to help me. I was so irate and said I was going elsewhere. She gave me a very insincere "apology" as I walked out. Verizon is a great network but it's too expensive for the disrespect like that. Assuming someone isn't a customer off the jump is messed up. I highly recommend the Charlotte Ave location - I had a much, much better experience there because they are actual professionals read more

I have never had such a negative experience at a Verizon in all my years as a Verizon patron. What a shock. Even the atmosphere was negative. They weren't helpful nor seemed like they wanted to be accommodating in the least. I felt like they were happy to tell me they charged for transferring my phones/contacts. I usually do this myself but my son just got out of 9 months of intensive treatment and didn't have use of a computer and didn't want to lose his new contacts. Either way, I didn't feel like a valued customer let alone a customer at all. I didn't mind paying but I would never pay for something where I was treated like that. read more

Ordered and received a new phone from this authorized dealer. The employee was not knowledgeable at all. We had a poor experience with our upgrade from IPhone XR to iPhone 13. Will find a direct Verizon dealer next time. read more
