I was coming to the area and I noticed there was a Verizon store near where I'd be, so I made a note to come here since I needed not only a new car charger, but I wanted to possibly get an upgrade for my son. Well, I was glad I did and despite this store being a little farther from me, this will be my go-to Verizon store from now on. It's that good that it's easily worth driving a little farther to get to. The customer service was excellent across the board. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The rep who helped me - Matt - was perfect. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, honest, and all around great. I made it a point afterwards that this will be the store I will return to in the future specifically for him. I actually have to go back soon to upgrade my own phone. The store itself is about what you'd expect - small, but comfortable. Neat, organized, and naturally all the latest devices are there on display and to tinker with. Depending on what you're looking for, prices are what they are. The charger was reasonable. The trade in/upgrade was also reasonable. The accessories - from the case to the wires were all reasonable. The added bonus was that my account was looked at and I actually got a little reduction in my bill (which was totally okay by me). Located in the Cortlandt Crossing mall, there's plenty of parking. I've tried most carriers and been to several of their stores - this was the best experience I've had overall and over the years, despite who the carrier was. Recommended if you're in need of their business and naturally if you're a Verizon customer. I will be back.

I had the privilege of working with Mickey at the store and he made it an awesome experience. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend anyone to come down and with him. As a favor to a low-tech friend, I volunteered to switch her service to T-Mobile for a better deal…read more Her old phone (a flip) was supposedly locked, so we had to buy a new (near look-alike) one. When I got back to her home I realized that, in fact, they had mistakenly set up the old phone, not the new one (so it was not locked after all?), so I drove back and explained the situation. The kid behind the counter, who was trying to be helpful but was not wholly competent (obviously; he's the one who screwed up the phones) worked and worked to get things right. People make mistakes, and I just dealt with it. But it soon became laughable: there was incompetence up and down the organization: he couldn't get the new phone up and running, and so called to the Philippines to sort things out, and they said they had no record of the change in service or even the purchase of the new phone. "I'm looking right at the purchase confirmation!" he protested. The store manager, Roxie, came over and said that they probably won't be able to fix the situation. I laughed and told her that it was their error, and of course they're going to fix it. Boy, the look she gave me! Like ice. I had to call back home to my friend to get all sorts of information: old phone number, new phone number, last four of social etc. Understandably, my low-tech friend mistakenly provided one incorrect number for something or other. When Roxie realized this, she nastily implied that it was my fault. I told her my friend must have gotten confused. Roxie's response? "Right, it's always someone else's fault," in a nasty, sarcastic, and accusative tone. Can you believe that?? Shame on her! Shame on Roxie at Mohegan Lake T-Mobile!! And shame on T-Mobile for being so negligent in their training their staff in terms of both technical prowess and basic human decency. The kid apologized to me after Roxie went back to eat her lunch (no farewell, and certainly no apology. She just ignored me and walked away). After two hours of this circus, the issues finally seemed to be resolved and I went back to my friend's place, where we discovered that they actually gave her another new number. Unbelievable.

I went there on Saturday with my 85-year-old Mom, looking to upgrade her iPhone 8, and he was accommodating. He answered our questions immediately and made some suggestions since the iPhone 12 I was going to get for her wasn't available. Saturday night, I decided to go ahead and get her the iPhone 13 because she loves her iPhone and uses it every day and let's face it, at age 85, she deserves to have anything that makes her happy. I ordered the phone online, and when I got the email, I headed over there with her the next day, which was her birthday. Dan was busy helping another customer, so we got a young girl, Julissa. She was very friendly at first, but when she went to get the phone and returned, her attitude changed when I explained that Mom had an old iCloud account that we couldn't access, and I needed to make sure she could transfer her contacts. At first, she said there was no way. I asked if the AT&T transfer app would help (mind you, I don't have AT&T or an iPhone, so I was trying to help HER). She wasn't sure, and my Mom started worrying and said she should keep her phone. I told Mom not to worry, that we would figure it out, and she wouldn't have to manually re-enter all her numbers as the young girl suggested. I even suggested that we could get Mom a new iPhone FOR FREE if I added her to my Verizon plan if AT&T couldn't help. We ended up creating a new apple ID for Mom, which was fine, and we even managed to save her contacts, which is all she was worried about. When it was done, the young girl handed me the phone. I asked her if the contacts were transferred, and she said yes, and she left. Not another word, no offer to show my 85-year-old Mom any of the phone's new features, didn't ask if we needed anything, just left, disappeared into the back, and left us there. So I sat there for a few minutes, showed my Mom some things, and restored her Facebook account, which she loves to use to keep track of the photos of her grandkids. I realized we needed a charging block and went to find her one but couldn't find anyone to ring it up for me. I finally asked if anyone was available to help and Dan, who was busy with another customer, immediately found someone to help me. The person he got had been sitting nearby looking at his phone and wouldn't have moved otherwise. I was really turned off by the whole experience, except for Dan, who was the only helpful employee in the store. I told my Mom I would never bring her back to this store, and at this point, if she ever needs another phone, I will add her to my Verizon plan because I've always had good service at the Verizon stores. Kudos to Dan for being a polite and hard-working person. Thank you for helping me and my Mom, Doris. As for the rest of the employees, they need to work on their etiquette and customer service. I won't be back there. Maybe you should give Dan a big promotion and get him a staff that he can train to be as helpful as he is, just a thought...
