Bought a new iPhone a week ago at the Verizon wireless store in Salem NH. Didn't have time to transfer everything from my current iPhone to the new one. Salesperson/tech at the Salem NH store tell me that I have 30 days to transfer and returm the older iPhone to any Verizon Corporate store. brought my old phone to this store today, rep who assists me sends me a text to approve access to my account, looks at the info and tell me he can't take the old phone back. Go back and forth he's adamant about not taking the phone back, contradicting what I sas told when I bought the phone. Took the old phone to the Verizon wireless store in Reading, was in and out in less than 10 mins and kt was a good experience, unlike the unhelpful rep at the Medford store. read more

Avoid this store! Terrible experience with Cellular Sales posing as Verizon I had an extremely frustrating experience at this store, which is listed as "Verizon," but is actually an authorized retailer called Cellular Sales. I spent over 6 hours transitioning my family of 4 from T-Mobile to Verizon, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. First, they told me they would waive the $45 setup fee. However, it turns out the $45 fee is per line, and when I returned to the store the second day, they refused to honor their promise. As a "favor" they had waived only one of the four $45 fees, but when I asked for a receipt or any proof, they said the adjustment was done on the "back end" and couldn't provide any documentation. In addition, they added a 5th "temporary" line to "mitigate" transferring one of the numbers that was failing to transfer. However, the kicker is that they never deactivated the "temporary" line. When I called to address the issue as I did not want to pay for five lines, they denied everything and refused to help. I was in contact with several actual Verizon representatives which confirmed that there was a 5th line and the myVerizon app reflected it as well. Thankful, Verizon was able to take this number off for me. They also promised to waive activation fees for 3 out of the 4 lines, but after speaking with Verizon customer service, I found out none of the fees were actually waived. To make matters worse, they promised us two $50 gift cards for accessories. After picking out our cases and putting it on our new iPhones it was later retracted unless we added phone protection -- a clear bait-and-switch. All in all, the second day when I went back to the store to try and resolve these above issues, the staff ignored us. One person rudely claimed they had to attend to another customer (there was no one else there) when I expressed frustration over the time we spent in the store. Their response was simply, "Well, we spent a lot of time with you too." This store is unprofessional, dishonest, and has no regard for customer service. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! read more

Be careful when getting a new phone with verizon. I purchased the phone from them and they set it up. I didn't know that they never set it up so that information wasn't being backed up to the cloud. Recently, that phone was dropped and wasn't working properly, I went back to them to get a new phone. They did all the work and informed me that the pictures were downloading and that all pictures and information were being transferred and that it would take a few hours. So, I left with my new phone. Unfortunately, none of my pictures transferred. I went back the next morning and asked if they had my phone so that I could plug it into the computer and download the pictures that way. The person their had no idea what to do. I went back the next day and spoke to the person that originally helped me and was told that the phone was gone. He did try selling my wife a phone. I felt as if he had no empathy of the fact that his actions attributed to the loss of many years of memories. read more

I had a weird issue here. An associate ordered a phone for me and said it would be coming in in a few weeks due to a chip shortage. Fast forward two months later and my phone still hadn't shown up. After several phone calls here I finally spoke with the store manager Lucas who is a baby angel sent from above. He was able to get my order squared away, I had my phone less than 4 days later and with a better promotion than I had before. Lucas is the best, and really worked with me to give me that white glove customer service that we all wish we had in every interaction. Just to clarify, in no way was the delay this store's fault, it was just a weird issue with the Verizon systems, but I credit this store and specifically Lucas with being able to help correct issues and take care of the customer. read more

Do not go to this store for service! I went this morning and waited for 10 mins for someone to acknowledge my presence. Two Verizon employees were there. One young Verizon employee was helping a customer and the other was sitting at his service desk typing. I was the only person standing and waiting for assistance. No other customers were in the store. Neither Verizon employee looked up and after 10 minutes I left. If one had said "we will be with you shortly".....I would have waited. I came back to leave another review because it's been a battle getting out of Verizon. I have order a phone replacement since I had insurance on my plan, and found out the hard way, the labyrinth hellhole I had gotten myself in. Once the phone was returned, and I have verification of it from representatives that they had in their possession, they still charged the full price of a phone on my credit card Verizon gave me excuses, and supposed "store credits" which never made their way to my account. And what's worst, after their wrongful charges, many calls to solve this, open claims, nothing to gain, but being charged more! I just found out I can't leave the damn company unless I pay off the whole device I got because apparently I'm on an invisible plan that I signed. From accepting an upgrade. My bills got boosted up, randomly, after wrongful charges. Should've sued. I swear. I hate this fake advertisement that this company got anything good on it. read more

Avoid at all costs. In May of 2022 I traded in two iPhone Xs and two iPhone 11s. I was promised $800 for each towards four iPhone 13s. I received the credit for the two iPhone 11s, but they had some issue with the Xs. they assured me it was just a system issue and they'd take care of it in a day or two. Doom on me for trusting. Since then, I've been back to the store 4 times in person, called at least 8 times, spoke to 2 different managers and 4 different sales reps. Each time I'm promised it's all set and I'll see the credit soon. Here we are approaching a full year and I've been paying full price with no credit towards two of my family's iPhone 13s. At this point I'm considering legal action as this is $1600 dollars I'm out and I'm completely fed up calling and asking. Avoid this place. I'll be switching from Verizon as soon as possible as well. read more

Stay away from here at all costs. Very shady sales tactics and scams. I dealt with Kristian Ortiz and he tried to add insurance to ALL 5 of my lines on my plan without any mention to me he did not even bring it up. I only realized once I saw the receipt which noted manual add for insurance to all 5 lines when I went in for one phone. They try to get you to purchase other things as well and don't tell you all your options. I recommend just upgrading your phone via the Verizon website. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will not be purchasing another phone through any store and will only go through Verizon itself via online transaction. read more

I was helped by Nedir at Verizon - he was really fantastic. Kind, knowledgeable, patient, even though I showed up at a 7 p.m. on a Saturday evening. He helped me set up both my phone and home Internet connections, spoke to the right customer representatives on my behalf over the phone so I wouldn't have to, and gave me his phone number and said I could text him in case of any problems which I did (and he always responded). I have never been so satisfied at a Verizon store before. We went in having to trade in a phone. We had some complications given the fact that we couldn't give up the phone we originally wanted too. The girl, that helped us out literally everything in her power to help us. I wish I remembered her name. I was there on a Saturday evening. We did have to come back to give up another phone. She was actually home, but a gentleman that had been helping the same lady before took the time to come help us out. Again, I wish I remember his name. Stopped at the Apple store for a new IPhone and between Covid lines and an awkward waiting and entry process I decided to just go directly to the Verizon store. Stopped at this Medford MA Mystic Ave reseller and was helped by Nicholas one of the floor associates, They had the device I wanted in stock, reviewed plans (to update my current one) and helped setup the new device. I found the team clearly explain everything and reviewed options on devices, accessories and plans. They helped migrate data from one device to another and ensured everything transferred properly. I have never had such a poor experience at a Verizon store. The employees were not willing to explain the information I needed to make an informed purchase. When I asked for further detail on an iPhone I was told to "google it" while another employee told me to "just buy the phone and return it later." They immediately told me to go for the expensive upgrade while leaving out all of the in between options. After asking multiple times for further information and guidance, and receiving nothing more than an inappropriate act of "man-splaining" as one employee showed me a photo of himself on his phone as reason why I should purchase it, I left the store. I signed on to Verizon after Sprint. What a mistake. The only good thing I got from the switch was a new phone. The service is costing me about $160 MORE per month than sprint. I recommend you take everything they say at this Verizon store on Mystic Valley Parkway with a grain of salt. The rep lied about how much it would cost me per month, he lied about the 5G, he lied about the freebies we would get. I have it in writing and there is still nothing verizon will do. Not worth it. I would highly recommend avoiding this store that is operated by Cellular Sales. The employee I had the misfortune of dealing with seemed to be clueless as to how to change plans, add lines to a plan, access the best deals for his customer and correctly review fees for service that he was charging me. I'm not sure if it was his lack of understanding or if the company has a poor training program for their employees. This company is an authorized retailer of Verizon, NOT a Verizon store. They will charge you additional fees on top of fees that Verizon will charge you. You can avoid this by simply going to a true Verizon store. Or better yet, do it online and save yourself even more money and time. I wasted three trips to the store and five hours of my time to get charged a $45 Device Setup fee from the store (which means they take the phone out of the box and turn it on) and a worse monthly payment deal than what was offered online (if I had done it online the Verizon promotion would have saved me $120). It just goes to show that I should have done better research instead of trusting this company and their inept salesman. read more
